I woke up from a hand rocking my knee back and forth. I didn't even bother seeing who was trying to wake me up because I was exhausted. I buried my head deeper into my blanket.

"Come on, wake up," the voice said gently.

"Mmm," I groaned.

"Wake uppp," the voice dragged, which l now distinguished to be Tyler's.

All of a sudden my head began to pound and pound and pound. "Oh, my head," I said, while pushing in the sides of my temples.

"I knew you would have a huge headache. I put aspirin and water on the nightstand for you."

I finally opened my eyes and I could actually see clearly again. Tyler now looked more like Tyler.

"I can really see you now, TJ. Hi," I said with a smile, seeing my old friend again.

"Well I've been able to see you since last night."

"I know. I'm so sorry," I laughed.

He turned away, avoiding my gaze. I sat up and put the two pillows behind my back. Something was turning in his mind, as though it wasn't always like that.

"What?" I asked, trying to dig into his complex brain.

"I'm just... worried about you." he said in probably the most sincere tone I had ever heard from him. I suddenly remembered his conversation I had heard with Josh last night. I had to act like I had never heard them, though.

"Tyler, I know I was acting like an idiot last night, but I was just messing around. I'm okay." I grabbed his knee, trying to reassure him.

"Jessica, why would you go out by yourself like that?" His question surprised me and I wasn't really sure how to answer.

"Just to get away from things, I guess. I'm not really sure." I really didn't want to talk about it. It was starting to get embarrassing.  "Hey um, thanks for everything, really. This was nice seeing you guys again, but I guess I should get out of your hair..." I didn't actually want to leave, but I just had to get out of this conversation and I knew someone like Tyler wouldn't quit.

"No, I uh... didn't mean to-" he began.

"It's all good, Tyler," I lied. "I'll write my new number down here," I pointed to the notepad on the dresser. "We should really hang out soon and I'm not just saying that. I really missed you guys," I said, smiling, and popped the pill into my mouth.

"I missed you, too," he said, looking to the floor. I felt like a huge bitch right then, but it was too late to turn back now.

"I'll change out of your stuff and give it back."

"No don't bother putting your dirty clothes back on. You can give it back when we meet up again." I smiled, knowing that he actually did want to see me again soon.

"Oh, okay."

"I'll get my keys," he said, starting to walk out.

"Oh, I was-" I started saying I was going to call a taxi, but I decided to just let Tyler do his thing. "Nevermind." Then, I gave him the address of my apartment complex.

We got into the car and I rested my head on my hand as he started to drive. "You okay?" He asked turning towards me.

"Just the hangover," I said. He made a little nervous smile.

"Oh hey, I forgot to ask. How's the whole music thing going?" he said, actually seeming to care and not just making small talk.

"It's not that great. I mean it was just what you would expect for playing bars sometimes." I just then remembered that's how Josh and Tyler got famous and started thinking about how they succeeded and I didn't.

"It's nothing compared to you guys, though. You guys are so good and I'm just-"

"Amazing," he cut me off as he stopped at a red light. I smiled wide.

"More importantly, how was the tour? You guys got back like three months or so ago, right?"

"Yep!" he beamed.

"I'm so jealous. You're really living the dream, aren't you, Tyler Joseph?" I asked with a smile.

"Yep. I'm also glad to be back here, though, see friends and stuff."

"Like me?" I gleamed.

"Like you."

We pulled up in front of the three big buildings, where my "home" was. I picked up my purse and my dead cell phone.

"Tyler."

"Yes?" he said, darting his eyes toward me, now getting out of the car.

"Thank you."
