I'm Here (eremika) (Eren x Mikasa)

MIKASA POV

"Please, Mikasa!" Historia begs me while clapping her hands together to show how desperate she is.

"Fine. You're lucky I have nothing better to do," I chuckled and rolled my eyes. Historia eyes lit up and she hugged me tight to show her appreciation. I didn't hug back. I felt uncomfortable when anyone showed me affection. I don't know, it's abornormal to me. Lol

Today, Historia convinced me to go to after school tutoring with her for her failing math grade. I didn't feel like it because I just want to drown in my self pity (joke ;) ). I understood what I was doing in math and didn't need the tutoring, but Historia can become very anxious and shy around people she isn't familiar with, so she wants me for support.

I follow Historia as she leads me to the library where the tutoring is taking place. I push open the door and only a few tables filled by teachers and some students tutoring other students. There is quiet chatter that echoes around the library. A random teacher comes up to us and asks what tutoring we need. I told her I didn't need it and I'll just sit at an empty table.

Historia sits at a table with other students. While I sit a table away from her, planning to get a head start with my homework.

I take out my math homework. I felt unmotivated to do anything, so I just went on my phone and scanned the place around me trying to read everyone's face. I looked at the students at Historia's table and caught a quick glimpse of a familiar blond. I take another look. I see the blond boy with his long hair and huge round blue eyes. I swear I knew him from somewhere. I stare at my homework to get a better sight, so I can think harder. Then, it hit me. That's Armin, Eren's friend. He seemed to be explaining stuff to the other students, so he probably is the tutor.

I stare at my math homework. I was tempted to ask him for "help". I was too chicken to talk to Eren again, so how about I talk to his friend.

I get up from my chair with my math homework and a pencil and walk towards him. I stand by the table he was at and wait to get his attention. He looks up to me. His eyes widen and he claps his hands together not letting go. He visibly seemed uncomfortable around me. Great, Eren told him about me. He probably thinks I'm a bad person. But I did feel like one, so I wouldn't blame him if he thought that way.

"Can you spare having an extra person? I'm struggling with my math homework," I say, giving my best smile to seem innocent. I don't want to give off a bad impression. I want people to like me.

"Oh," Armin says while scratching his cheek and looking around like he was looking for someone to help him. Like he wanted to just say "no" and make me get out of his sight. "Uh, Sure. There is an extra seat right there,"He points to the seat next to Historia and I sit in it.

At this point, I felt like I regretted sitting there. Am I really that desperate? Geez...

Armin was talking to another student until he finally turned to me. I stiffened up to get prepared for what I was going to do
"So... what problem do you have?" Armin asked while reading the first question on my math homework.

I hesitate. What am I doing? I'm so crazy. I'm really doing this? I'm looking down at my paper while keeping my arms as close to me. I finally look up to meet his eyes. He creased his thick eyebrows.

I opened my mouth and let the words flow out.
