I'm Here (eremika) (Eren x Mikasa)

MIKASA POV

Friday finally arrived. Sasha and I are at my apartment waiting for Eren and his friend to come. I was chasing her making sure she does not make a mess. Not only that but I was stressed about Eren. Everyone's saying he is a bad person and I don't know what to do. He is really nice, so I'm so confused.

Instead of feeling excited like I was before, I was nervous and doubting my thoughts on Eren I had before. It's making my head spin.

The doorbell rang and Sasha and I paused. My heart was thumping too fast and I was shaking a little. I quietly walk up to the door and place my hand on the door knob. I froze in place there until Sasha told me to answer it.

I gave my best smile I could give even though I didn't feel like it. I opened the door and there I saw Eren. He looked up with a little surprised loooed from looking down at his phone.

He scrunched his nose and gave me a smile with his straight white teeth. He greeted me and patted my head. I slapped his hand out of the way and chuckled. Instead of forcing a smile, I found myself really smiling. It happened so quickly too. I felt like there's a golden light inside me.

Sasha came to the door and waved while chewing on a piece of bread she was holding. She seemed very relaxed and didn't seem suspicious which put me more into peace. Eren gracefully waved back.

I follow Eren as we walks to his car. He brought his face close to mine and whispered to me, "Will you be okay in the car?"

That was realized, I totally forgot about my fear of driving. I wasn't focused on it. Even though he reminded me of it, the sudden fear of driving did not come to me. It was like I trusted him like I trust Levi with driving.

I whispered back, "I think I'll be okay." I smile to ensure him.

He gives me a smirk and walks to the side of the car to get in the driver seat. He told me to sit in front with me and Sasha sit in the back with his friend.

I get in the car and look behind me to see his friend. It's the bald guy. Sasha sits next to him. She didn't really acknowledge him that much and focused more in her bread she was finishing.

"Sasha, Mikasa, this is Connie and he is an idiot," Eren quickly says as he turns on the car.

Connie slapped the top of Eren's head making Sasha chuckle.

When we got to the mall, we all jumped store to store. At first Sasha kind of clinged on to me. I talked to her because I didn't want her to feel uncomfortable or left out, but soon she got more comfortable with Connie. We all travelled together, but stayed in our own separate groups. I was with Eren and Sasha was with Connie.

While shopping, I spotted a red scarf. It's looked so stylish even though it was just plain red. I loved it like a that baby loved it's blankie.I picked it up and rub my hands over it. It was so soft and comforting which made me love it much more.

"Do you like this scarf?" I asked Eren.

His soft hands ran over the scarf to feel the soft feeling, "It's beautiful, you should get it," he smiled at me and lifted his hand from the scarf.

"I don't know, it's $45... it's kinda expensive." Levi wouldn't be proud of me if I spent so much on a scarf.

"If you're going to wear it, you should just get it," he says.

"I don't know..." I look at it and massage my hands thought them until put it back, "I'm not gonna get it. I need the money anyway," Letting it go kind of made me feel a little down. I get is attracted to it already. I just stare at it for a moment wanting to remember the scarf. I look over at Eren. He gave a concerned look, but I smiled and pat him on the shoulder and walked past him. He followed.

I was looking at the clothes not too far from Eren as he was buying a pack of socks. I glanced at him a few time, but then I saw him spring away from the register passing me. I scratch my cheek. Was he done? He couldn't  have been since he just left the socks on the counter with the employee.

He came sprinting back with something in his hand he obviously was trying to hide from me. I moved around to get a better view of what he was holding, but failed.

He walked up to me with a paper bag filled with the stuff he bought. I questioned what he got there, but without answering, He stuck his hand in the bag with a big smile. I raise an eyebrow and scratch my head.

He quickly pulls something out of his bag and I jump at the sight. My mouth drops.

"Eren! You didn't need to get me the scarf," I cover my mouth.

She scratches his head and chuckles, "I had to. I saw your face when you saw it," he hands me the scarf. I take and admire it. I felt like jumping on the walls.

My smile morphed into a frown, "Eren..."

"What?"

"I can't take this. It's too expensive and I can't ever take that money from you," I tried to hand the scarf back and he took it. He stares at it for a few seconds.

"No, no! I don't even care, take this as a sorry for all leaving you the other day," he pleaded.

"No, Eren. It doesn't feel right," I look away from his face not wanting to make eye contact with him. I felt look too selfish and a little ashamed.

"If you don't take it, I will just give it to my dog as a chew toy."

"You have a dog?"

"No, but I will throw it away if you don't take it, so you have to take it" he raises his eyebrows. He rips off the tag and throws it in his bag. His eyes softened and so did his smile. He stared deep into my eyes.

"Plus, you're the only one who would actually look good in it," he starts to gently wrap the scarf around my neck, "So you might as well have it." I watched his eyes as he concentrated on wrapping the scarf. His attempt on putting a scarf on me ended up having my mouth and nose covered by it.

"See? You look beautiful," he gives me a heartening smile. His eyes sparkled and felt lost in them. I placed my hand on the scarf. I felt my face heat up. Looking at Eren made my heart beat fast in a comforting way. Why do I feel this way? I never felt like this.
