I'm SO Grounded

Laura's Pov

Well, we're finally home from tour. I couldn't be more excited, but I'm not sure if I can say the same for the boys. Since tour's over, management is having them do an interview, and they have set up for the interviewer to hint towards the hiatus.

The interview is tomorrow morning, and I can tell the guys are stressing. They're all currently pacing the room figuring out what they should and shouldn't stay.

"Guys! Just sit down. Stop stressing so much. You don't need to rehearse what you're going to say. You'll be fine. Everything will come naturally. Now stop pacing." But they wouldn't stop, so one by one, I pulled them down on the couch, Cal being the last one.

Once everyone was sitting down I said, "Now you four stop it. You're supposed to be relaxing today." Cal said, "That's easier said than done babe. You don't understand."

"Yes I do Calum. I've been with you boys through all of this. I've been here since the start. I know this is difficult and scary for y'all, but you're gonna have to get over it. I love you guys, but you need to realize that this hiatus is going to be really good for you. Y'all all need a break from the crazy band life. I can see how drained y'all are, and I'm not just going to sit here and watch it happen. Sure, there will be a lot of mixed responses from the fans, but if they're your true fans, they'll understand why you're doing this. When you're asked why you chose to take this hiatus, just be honest, don't hold anything back from them. They'll understand. But the more y'all stress, the worse this interview is going to be because your thoughts are going to be jumbled and most likely negative. Now we're gonna have a good time and watch movies and keep you boys calm. I don't want this causing more anxiety than it needs to." Cal pulled me down on his lap and said, "Okay. We're sorry. We didn't realize how stressed out we are. Thank you for the pep talk baby."

Ash said, "Yeah Laura. Without you, we probably wouldn't be taking this hiatus because we would've backed out. You're doing what's best for us, and we know that, but we'll never stop worrying about letting our fans down." Luke said, "Yeah. We know this hiatus is gonna be good for us, but all we've known is band life for the past few years. It's a little scary to think about not having our life revolve around music."

I said, "Just because y'all are on a hiatus doesn't mean you can't do anything with music. If y'all have an idea for a song, you can work on it. This is just a time where everything won't revolve around music. You guys can just be yourselves and fully relax." Cal said, "And you're the one to think for it because you love all of us enough to make sure we give ourselves the mental and physical break we need."

He kissed me and I said, "I just hate seeing how drained y'all are." "We know that. And we can sense how drained we are. We know this hiatus is gonna be good for us, we just need time to adjust."

I laid my head on his chest and said, "Can we all just relax today? You guys do not need to be stressing before your interview." "Yes baby. We can watch movies and do whatever you think will relax us."

Ash started looking through the movies and Luke got out all of the blankets. Once Ash picked a movie, we all got comfortable and just hung out. This is one of the nice things about tour being over. We can all just relax and spend time together.

We had a pretty chill day, and at around 11, we all headed to bed. Once Cal and I got up to our room, we laid on the bed and it didn't take us long to fall asleep.
