"Aang, do you require me to do a demonstration?" you asked, your facade never leaving. After all, your brother was here. "I can do the demonstration!" Zuko fumed, before he realized who he was snapping at. "Sorry."

"Mind if I watch you two jerks do your jerkbending?" you bit back a groan as Zuko snapped at Sokka. "Fine, fine. Hey, Y/N." you waved. "Hey, Sokka."

"I've lost my stuff." you chewed slowly, staring at your brother. "I didn't touch it." you couldn't hold back your snort, and soon you were full on laughing, leaning against Sokka as you tried to catch your breath. "I'm talking about my firebending. It's gone."

Katara started to laugh, remarking on the 'irony' of the situation. Zuko clapped back, and you tuned everyone out until you heard Aang's explanation. "Aang's right, you know." you chimed in.

"Soo, all we have to do is make Zuko mad!" Sokka started to prod at your brother, trying to make him mad, but everyone knew what the outcome would be. No firebending, at least none as strong as it used to be. "Okay, cut it out! Look, even if you're right, I don't want to rely on anger and hate anymore. There has to be another way. Y/N, how did you learn?"

"Fire Lord Ozai actually gave me a few scrolls, and I mastered firebending from there. Of course, I picked up earthbending watching other people, like soldiers of Omashu. I learned waterbending on my own, too. Apologies, Prince Zuko."

"You're gonna need to learn to draw your firebending from a different source. I recommend the original source."

"How's he supposed to do that? Jumping into a volcano?" you giggled, playfully smacking the back of Sokka's head. "No. Zuko needs to go back to whatever the original source of firebending is."

"So, is it jumping into a volcano?" Toph looked annoyed, but she started to tell the story of how she learned to earthbend. It was pretty cool, you just weren't interested as much. You were more focused on not snapping at your brother for being an annoying idiot who needs to shut up.

"Aang, I feel like we shouldn't have brought him." you whispered to your friend. You were on your way to the Sun Warrior civilization, and you were extremely uncomfortable with your brother's presence. Of course, that was to be expected. He did try to kill you and your friends multiple times.

"I know, but I need a firebending teacher. And you won't teach me." you sighed. "You're right. Sorry."

You jumped over the spikes easily, your years of intense training allowing you to be as agile as an acrobat. "I miss my kids. I hate it here." you walked ahead of your friend and brother, wanting to take in the view.

"Woah..." you breathed out, staring up at the carving. "Are you seeing this, mom?" you murmured, reaching out to touch it. Unfortunately, Zuko and Aang had caught up to you, and were talking about something serious. Something about the dragons.

"It's locked up!" Zuko did some weird trick with his sword, and then you were on your way. "I feel like I shouldn't go in." you watched as they did some dance mimicking the statues, and then a stone was presented. Before you could warn your brother not to touch it, he picked up the stone, causing a stream of green goo to stick him to the ceiling. "Aang!" you cried, and then the doors shut.

You climbed the walls, seeing Aang and Zuko, stuck to bars. "Can you do anything?" you shook your head. "Do something!" Zuko demanded, and you bowed your head. "Apologies, Prince Zuko. I am powerless."

"Wait! Sir!" you yelled, seeing someone in the distance. He had face paint on, but you ignored it, grabbing his shoulders to get his attention. "What are you doing here?" you panted, catching your breath.

"My brother and my friend are stuck. Please, help them. Are you a Sun Warrior?" he nodded. "Why are you here?" you started to lead him back where Aang and Zuko were. "Please, hurry! I fear that they'll drown!"

"For trying to take our sunstone, you must be severely punished! Not the girl, though. She's innocent." you panicked. "We didn't come here to take your sunstone. We came here to find the ancient origin of firebending."

"If you wish to learn the ways of the Sun, you must learn them from the masters, Ran and Shaw."

"Ran and Shaw? There are two of them?"

The chief stalked towards the two boys. "When you present yourself to them, they will examine you. They'll read your hearts, your souls, your ancestry. If they deem you worthy, they'll teach you. If they don't, you'll be destroyed on the spot." you snickered at their scared expressions.

The chief handed each of you a flame, warning you to keep it not too large but not too small, for fear of it getting out of control or going out. Aang tried to back out, but the chief made him carry the flame.

"Aang, your fire will go out if you keep it that small." yours was larger than both of them, seeing that you were less nervous. "Look at yours! It's humongous!" you started to do tricks, making the fire spin in a circle and whatnot. "That's because I have no fear. Fire's killed me once, it can't do it again."

"Give me some of yours!" Aang tried to reach for Zuko's fire, but the fallen prince held it away from him. "Stop it." you hissed, but they didn't listen. Eventually, Zuko's fire went out, and you refused to give them any of yours.

You relaxed, but the tension in your body quickly came back when two dragons flew out of the caves. "What the hell-" the blue one picked you up, throwing you on its back. The Sun Warriors started to whisper among themselves, and you panicked more.

Zuko and Aang stared at you in awe, before they agreed to do something. They started to dance, the same dance they did back in the room where the sunstone was. The dragon carrying you roared, and then you were being thrown up into the air.

You held back your scream as the dragons breathed fire, creating a tornado of different colors. You started to land, but you weren't. You were suspended in midair The flames started to wrap around your limbs, encasing you in multicolored fire. As the flames reached your face, you saw everything.

The origin of firebending, the first Sun Warriors, everything that had to do with firebending. You could faintly register releasing a large blast of fire into the air, before you were falling, crashing into the ground. But you didn't crash. Zuko managed to catch you.

You saw gold eyes stare into yours, before everything went black.

"Y/N, are you-" you shot up, gasping for air. "What the hell- what the hell happened back there?" you looked around, sagging in relief when you saw that you were back in the Air Temple. Aang, Katara and Zuko were staring at you, creeping you out.

"What's with your eyes?" you blinked. "What? Explain what's going on. No, where are my kids? Where's Haru?" you started to panic. "Calm down. You're safe. Aang and Zuko told me that you... drank? You drank the fire that the dragons made, and then you collapsed. Now your eyes are multicolored."

She froze water onto the floor, making you a mirror. You stared down at yourself. Your eyes were... like the flames the dragons showed. And then it hit you. This was your turning point.
