THREE DAYS have passed by and it's the fourth day since we had this event. Tatlong araw nalang at matatapos na itong lahat.
Marami rin kaming na-encounter na mga teams. And we managed to beat some of them.
"Tsk. Insects," I muttered and slapped a mosquito on my cheek. My teammates wasn't that bothered by it and continued walking silently. The order of this line is that si Rei yung nasa unahan, Zariah next, then me, and lastly Hanz.
Kasalukuyan kaming naglalakad sa gubat. The territory had shrunk for the third time, kaya't kailangan na naming mag-migrate. If we don't, we'll get disqualified.
Dala-dala nalamang namin yung mga bag namin ngayon. The only weapons left on us right now are our toy blades to fight off some enemies. Naubos na kasi yung mga magazines namin kahapon. Rei was the only person left that has some ammo, it only takes her one bullet to kill a student anyways. Kaya't hindi masyadong depleted yung mags niya. She's like an experienced sniper, tbh. She kills on sight with just a bullet straight to the head. But Zariah also concluded that Rei is scavenging for supplies every night kaya't may mga rubber bullets pa ito.
Wala namang masyadong nakakatakas sa mga bullets niya. Most people we encounter are D, C, and B Rankers. May na-eencounter naman rin kaming mga A-Rankers. And the S-Ranks? None so far.
This event is weird though, it's the third day and we haven't encountered an S-Ranked. Para ngang wala sila sa laro ehh. They could just easily end this game and eliminate all lower ranks, that's how strong those students are.
"Guys, enemy," informed Hanz behind me as he was guarding our backs.
Agad kaming napa-luhod sa lupa and docked our heads. Napako yung mga tingin namin sa likuran, just to see the faces of the enemy team. We noticed how those people walked around carrying their weapons. But it's weird, andami nila. Did they decided to form an alliance?
Then suddenly, bigla nalang napatayo si Zariah. She then shouted.
"Sinnely!"
Wait, what? She knows them? The opposing people immediately aimed their weapons at us.
"Zari?" she then looked at her teammates and the others, "--stand down guys."
Pinigilan ko kaagad si Zariah nang nagtangka itong lumapit.
"Wait, what if they're enemies?" I whispered, my eyes locked on the teams in front.
"They aren't."
How can she be so sure?
Napatingin naman yung isang babae sa direksyon namin. Maging yung mga kasama niya. Then another girl waved her hand at us saying, "Oi! Zari!"
Zari? They call her Zari? Hmm, should I call her Zari too? Pero nasanay na kasi ako na full name talaga tawag ko sa kanya.
They approached us and we approached them too. We were in the middle of the forest and there's a lot of them. Nandoon rin sa kabilang team si Elise, but her teammates aren't with her.
I didn't see her teammates. Seriously, nasaan ba yung mga S-Ranks? If you're wondering, Elise is still just a B-Ranker. Hindi ko alam kung anong history ng team nila pero all I know is that the former fourth member died. And Elise's other teammates drop out when they were in Grade 9 here in NSA. So the school assigned the newbie Elise to the team of Draven.
"Hello! I'm Lilly~" and grabbed my hand for a sudden handshake. She's a lively one.
"Lilly, chill," the girl who called Zariah in 'Zari', turned to me. "I'm Lizbeth."
