We then went out to the private area where she was buried. We formed a line to her grave and one by one, they paid their respects and left flowers for her.

I looked over at Axel and Draco to check on them. They looked like puppies that got kicked. The expression on their faces was so solemn and I wanted to burst out crying right then and there.

None of my "friends", other than Felix, had that expression when they visited my mom. They usually had bored faces and it hurt me so much because I saw them as my friends.

I don't think I could've handled it if my mates, my destined other halves, acted like they didn't care to be here. My heart would bleed ten times worse.

They caught my gaze and gave me reassuring smiles. My heart decided then and there that I would make them happy no matter what. I don't care what my dad says about them, I'm never letting them go.

I smiled at them and gave Draco a little peck on the cheek. Then also doing the same for Axel. Their expressions made me feel so...loved and important. They looked like they won the lottery ticket. They were the most precious beings that have ever roamed this cruel world of ours. Period.

The line had moved up and now it was my turn to pay my respects. I put the flowers on the grave careful of the other flowers that were put there. The flowers I chose were statices. Symbolizing remembrance.

I got down on my knees and got into a bowing position just like the other people did.

Dear mom, even though you are not here, I will always remember everything you did for me. I may get used to your absence but I will never get rid of our memories together. I will make you proud. Please rest easy.

I got up with the help of Axel and Draco and dusted off my knees, hands, and my dress. They really didn't need to, but gestures like those really warmed my heart.

I went back into the lobby and waited for Axel and Draco. I was prepared to get a confrontation from my dad. And of course, speak of Satan and he shall appear. Literally. I sighed mentally.

"Femi Cross you better explain yourself right now!" he said after he finally made his way over to me. Now how do I explain this? Should I just tell him that I just wanted to piss him off? Nah that'll just piss him off even more.

"I just wanted to surprise you! I know you wanted to meet my mates so I did all the work!" I said sweetly, batting my eyelashes at him innocently. He just sighed and massaged his temples.

"Child, I swear you give me more wrinkles every time I see you." he said dramatically. I scoffed.

"Dad! You don't even age anymore! It seems to me you want wrinkles since you talk about them so much." I said, my sass activated. He had an offended face on. He's such a Karen I swear.

Willow was just wheezing in my head. She usually gets pretty nice entertainment when I'm with my dad.

I saw Axel and Draco coming towards us and so I waved them over. My dad whipped his head around and just glared at me. He gave me a look that said "I'm-not-done-with-you-missy." I stuck my tongue out at him. Get rekt, stupid.

When Axel and Draco were both beside me, my dad got professional and introduced himself to them. After his GREAT introduction, he gave them both a manly handshake. I would never understand why they don't just shake hands like normal people.

"It's great meeting you, Mr. Cross. I'm Axel. I hope we weren't intruding." said Axel, in a very professional tone. I could just see my dad observing them both from head to toe.
