The next days were calm, Gotoh came by to tend my wounds, bring me food guaranteeing my fast recovery. Illumi of course popped up after his job to get the lenses off but he clearly didn't stay long, leaving for a longer job soon after. Why didn't he get any rest? I couldn't imagine the Zoldycks going bankrupt over a few jobs... Being locked in my room with no company, unable to move was getting the best of me. Gotoh wasn't the greatest talker either.

I enjoyed not having heart attack inducing dinners with the Zoldycks, that was the best thing about bed rest. It was sadly coming to an end.

I did however meditate, strengthened my nen, slowly, all day, from the basics to the little manipulation tricks taught by Feitan. I started by manipulating a spoon, mostly out of need to eat. I couldn't imagine asking someone in this household to feed me. The thought of it creeped me out too much.

As I improved myself, I pondered. Did I want to make the final test? What would happen if I refused it? On one hand I'd love to rub on Illumi's face that I could do it, survive the tests and his future punishment, get the needle out, be free... But major red flags rose up. I was getting too close to a marriage with Illumi, he tended my wounds that day, but will he not ask for payment for that? What did he want to achieve by doing it? What was the catch? Could I really manage to improve my manipulation skills by enough to use them to manipulate Illumi into taking the needle out of me? How much seduction did I have to mix in? What was good and what was bad?

I took a deep breath as I thought about what I wanted to write and formed letters out of my nen. The door swung open, making my eyebrow rise in annoyance. "Illumi, how come you never learnt how to knock?"

The paragraphs collapse, running back to my jiggly f/c nen, as my eyes trace a large figure. His blue lethal eyes piercing mine unapologetic. He was wearing a martial arts robe, I couldn't pinpoint exactly which, over his large muscular torso. Silva was a very big man; his stern look didn't help out easing the fright he caused.

"Oh... Now I know who he got it from. Shocking, was expecting it from Kikyo." I try to rotate myself to face the head of the Zoldyck family. "What do I owe the pleasure?"

"Hmph, it wasn't you... you didn't do it." He dictated, walking away without even bothering to close the door leaving me bewildered. It wasn't me? What was it that I didn't do? My lunch was risking a trip back up, I forced myself out of the bed. Legs wobbly, from the lack of use the last days. What had happened?

A dark purplish wave hit me, filling the entire room.

Crap.

Illumi was mad.

Why though? As I felt the density growing, I went through all the possibilities. Did his job went badly? He hadn't returned, but he stated that it wasn't going to be easy...

He walks in sight, through the door, his hair fluctuating with the intensity of the aura, face occulted, eyes crazed, bloody mess described all his clothing... why was he barefoot? Shivers went through my spine, my butt hitting the carpet, between my folded legs, who had failed me.

"Was it you?" His voice thundered, no longer portraying the absent joy that characterized it. I could only tilt my head in pure confusion, words did not dare come through my parted lips. The bloodlust was insane, Illumi's pale hand pointed to me, "Unbelievable"

"Wha... What are you... even talking about?" He took a step further, revealing large cuts through his left arm. "Who did that to you?"

His hair gradually being affected by the laws of physics, yet the intensity of the bloodlust was the same. I was mortified, barely being able to blink as he drew closer.

"Nevermind, doesn't matter right now." Crouching ahead of me he grabbed my chin with his bloody hand as the other ran his hair forehead up, revealing an amused face. No mask. "It wasn't you."

It felt wrong, so wrong, seeing Illumi smirk fully, unhinged.

"Should we play, lovely toy?" That was it. I was going to die. Nothing could save me from this. Not here at least. I gulped, realising my racing heartbeat and faster breathing. I couldn't move, I couldn't draw my eyes away from the dark traps that were Illumi's eyes, slowly pushing me to the edge. Panic. He got up and looked around, locking the door as he thought of what he should start with. "Ah... What to do first?"

While I tried to control my breathing and my derailed heart, he kept going, "Torture?" My head snapped to look at him, no way, I was too fragile for torture. "No?"

I shook my head, evaluating the pain as I got up carefully. I was way better than one could expect, but looking at Illumi would he know when to stop? I didn't want more delay in my plans either, torture would tie me up to a bed again, probably unable to write for longer. I peaked at him, leaning against the door, waiting for an answer.

"No." I forced myself to reply. Dreading what would come if not torture.

He tilted his head, dark cascades caressing his shoulders, edges stained by the blood. "Maybe psychological torture, how do you feel about water dropping?"

"Uh..." I stared emptily at him, his arched eyebrows were high, dark eyes twinkling with entertainment, thin lips curled into a devious smile. "How confident are you in psychological torture?"

"Extremely. Y/N, you're feeling terrified." He ordered, and I felt my insides turning, my hands shaking, as I looked around for an escape, something to make me less terrified. "Y/N. Now you're not terrified."

"Illumi, an eye for an eye..." My hand caressing my temples trying to ease the small headache, my options were limited. I couldn't possibly last that kind of torture, not with this bloodlust filled man waiting to drive me insane.
