He hurriedly came over to my side and it's apparent by the look on his eyes that he's not at ease. " Hi Cheese! Are you okay?" reaching out to touch me. The feel of his hand on my skin made me jerked a couple of inches back. " Sorry " i said.
" No, it's okay, I'm sorry, Are you hungry?" He asked me as he pull out some food from his bag. " I shook my head and i adjusted my position on the bed. " What happened, John? Why am i here? "
He clasped his hand in front of him, sat down and said " Well, i found you on the street, unconscious, you got hit but I didn't see anyone there. Maybe we should have this reported as soon as possible"
" No, no, it's fine, I don't have time for things like that, I just have a favor though..." I went on.
" Suure, what is it? He leaned closer to me.
" Can you call my boss to inform him of what happened to me? I do not want to lose my job " I pointed at my bag and said " My id is inside my wallet, you will see the phone number there. Pls? Thank you" I sighed loudly. Suddenly, i felt exhausted.
He opened my bag as instructed. He pulled my ID from my wallet and made an okay gesture using his thumb. I smiled. He looked at my Id and said " You looked so pretty here, Cheese "
I almost gagged at his comment. I rolled my eyes at him and said " That is the worst picture I have, John. You don't need to make me feel good about myself, I am fine"
He grinned. " It is true. "He stared at me for a few seconds, shook his head then pulled out his cellphone to call my supervisor.
The door opened and the MD came over to approach my bed. He smiled and said " Ms Melt? I'm Dr. Guinevere, I'm your attending physician. Are you feeling wobbly..? "
" I'm a bit lightheaded doc, but other than that, I'm okay. Is there something wrong with me? " I asked him. I am worried but at the same time, I can't help but stare at him. He is damn attractive!
He started laughing, good naturedly. " No, no, I'm just checking " He looked over his shoulder and asked " Is he your boyfriend, or.. husband?"
John must have heard this because he suddenly joined the conversation and said
" Hi Doc, my name is John" He extended his hand to the cute MD. The cute physician faced John, and said " We would like to run some cognitive tests on Ms Melt, just to make sure. Can we talk about this outside?" He smiled at my direction. " Feel better, Ms Melt "
They left the room. I suddenly have a slight headache. I'll just close my eyes for a minute. The minute extended to hours until..
