Violet | Shinso x OC/Reader

You both entered your designated training spot and faced each other. "So are we using quirks or nah?" you ask while tightening the gloves on your costume.

"I think it's only fair if we do..."

You eyed him. "What do you mean by that?"

He had a cocky grin on his face and indicated to his scarf. "I mean, I have this now, so you're going to need something else if you want to stand a chance against me."

You raised an eyebrow and smirked. "You think you're that good, huh?"

He shrugged nonchalantly. "I'll let you see for yourself."

"All right, then... Challenge accepted." You watched as he reached up behind him and adjusted something on his face. With the scarf covering it, you hadn't even realized that something else was there. You point to it. "What's that?"

"Do you like it?" he asked, only this time, his voice was distorted. It still sounded like a male's voice, just... not his.

"A voice changer? ... That's clever."

You put a hand on your chin and pretended to think for a moment. "I dunno... I think it makes you look like Darth Vader."

He then reaches up to the side of the device and spins a dial. When he speaks again, his voice goes down a couple of octaves. "I find your lack of faith disturbing," he quotes in Vader's voice.

You couldn't help it... You burst out laughing and he started to chuckle too, only it was still in Vader's voice, which only made you laugh more. "All right, all right... You have to change it before you make me piss myself!" you say as you catch your breath and wipe the tears from your eyes.

He reaches up and spins the dial again. "Better?" he asks in a much more realistic-sounding voice.

"Much better, thanks." As you take in a final deep breath to steady your breathing, you call out to him. "Ready?"

He nods his head. You were already standing a few yards apart from each other, and you both got into a fighting stance. After a few seconds, you shouted, "START!" and charged towards him. You only took a few steps before his scarf shot out and wrapped around your left leg, pulling you forward and making you land on your back. Shinso then pounced on you, but before he could land, you used your right foot and landed a solid kick to his torso, making him fly backwards. He landed on his feet with a grunt and you quickly unwrapped the scarf from your leg and stood up. He was clutching his abdomen as he pulled the scarf back toward him and it magically returned to its resting place around his neck. "How the fuck does it do that?"

"What the hell's in those boots?!" he called out. Opening your mouth to respond, you shut it as soon as you remember that you were using your quirks. You gave him a smile before turning yourself invisible. You then ran around him; You didn't want to punch him in the stomach with your new steel-knuckled gloves, so you zipped past and grabbed a hold of the back of his scarf instead. Using your momentum, you spun him around you before grabbing his arm with your other hand and pushing him down onto the ground. After immobilizing him, you released your quirk and leaned down, muttering into his ear with a smirk, "What was that about 'standing a chance against you'?"

"You think you've won?" he retorted.

You let out a simple "Hmph." All of a sudden, your eyes go blank and your limbs fall at your sides. "Dammit!! That's really all it takes?! I thought I had to respond with full words for his quirk to have an effect!" Before you could do anything to knock yourself out of his hold, he took advantage of your loosened grip and flipped himself so that he was facing you. He grasped onto your shoulders and pushed you until you landed on your back. The impact from hitting the ground was enough to free you from his control, and you looked up at him. "I'm NOT letting him win that easily!" You brought both of your feet up to his chest and pushed with all the strength you had in your legs, flipping him up and over your head and making him land on the ground with a *thud*.

Quickly getting up, you put some more distance between the two of you and turned yourself invisible once again as you waited for him to get back on his feet. Once he did, you ran toward him again, but he took a hold of his scarf and swung it around him in such a way that you nearly ran straight into it. To avoid the attack, you ducked and somersaulted underneath it as it flew over your head. However, this motion was enough to kick up the dirt beneath you, creating a small dust cloud and giving away your position. He shot his scarf out toward you and wrapped it around your torso and arms, successfully binding you. "Shit!"

Before you could react, he pulled you straight into him and held you in place. You released your invisibility and the two of you just stared at each other. You both breathed heavily and stood like this for a couple of seconds before you realized what kind of position you were in. His arm was wrapped around your waist and your faces were mere inches away from each other. Even after realizing this, neither of you moved.

You've never been this close to him before. With the rush of adrenaline, your mind began to wander. "If I lean forward just two inches... I could..." You glance down at his lips... They looked so soft and inviting up close. Your eyes met his once more and you saw that he was glancing down at your lips, too. "He must be thinking the same thing..." You found yourself moving your head closer to him ever so slowly, and he mirrored your movement. Your eyes fluttered closed and your faces moved until they were about a centimeter away from each other and you could feel his warm breath on your mouth.

"WHOOOOO!! GET IT, SHINSO!!" you heard a boy's voice calling from not far away. Both of your heads snapped to the side, and you saw the 'Bakusquad'... Sero was standing there grinning, and Kirishima had his hands cupped together and was shouting through them while Kaminari had his fingers in his mouth, whistling at the two of you. Mina had her phone out and was recording the whole thing, and Bakugo was standing with his hands in his pockets, though you could still make out that he had a smirk plastered across his face.

You felt your face become beet red, and both of you swiftly took a step away from each other. He quickly released his hold on you with his scarf, and you looked away from each other awkwardly. "What just happened? Were we about to...? Ahh, this is so embarrassing!"

Out of humiliation, you used your quirk to hide yourself from their view. Then, realizing that Shinso was left exposed, you hid him as well before grabbing his arm and pulling him toward the tree where you left your belongings. As you ran, you looked back at your group of friends and saw Mina following you with her phone. "Shit! The phone!" You used your quirk once more to make her phone completely disappear from her hands and you watched as she waved it around in front of her in confusion. You and Shinso quickly grabbed your stuff and ran out of there as fast as you possibly could until you reached the nearest building and ducked inside. You released your quirk as soon as the door closed and both of you stood there, panting as you calmed your panicky nerves.

"Well..." Shinso spoke up through ragged breaths. "... So much for training today."

You let out a small laugh. "Yeah..."

He looked up at you from where he had his hands on his knees. "Wanna go get some boba?"

You nod your head. "Yes, please."

            YES, there is Star Wars in this universe... Don't know if that's canon or not, but I'm a huge fan, and wanted to include a reference in here somewhere, so here ya go!!
