recap:

I woke up to me being shaken awake and my name called.

n- y/n, we're here...

--

y/n- huh?

I say, rubbing my eyes in disbelief. I looked out the window and saw an airport in the distance.

y/n- oh yeah, we are.

He smiled, shook his head, and took my hand to help me out of my seat. He grabbed both of our carry-on bags and we walked out of the plane. (ugh idk how to write this i haven't been on a plane since i was like 2)

We caught up with Cynthia, Blake, and Ant in the airport, and we grabbed our bags and found our rental car, which was a tesla, outside the airport. Noah got in the front seat and drove around thirty minutes to our hotel. I was almost falling back asleep in the car since I was pretty tired from the long flight, and I think so was everyone, maybe except for Noah, who surprisingly not tired at all.

I opened my eyes a few minutes later, and leaned my head on the glass window, looking at the palm trees and the beach that was all dark, probably cause it was 9 pm at night.

Noah looked over to me.

n- everything okay?

y/n- yeah.

I say, giving him a fake smile, and then leaning my head back onto the window.

He looked over to me with a frown and continued driving until we made it to the hotel.

We both went inside to check-in, probably because we were the only ones awake.

I was standing silently by him while he was checking in, and I was tired. He handed me the other two room keys- one for Cynthia and Blake and then one for Ant. He held our room key in his hand and I walked behind him to go wake up everyone.

He woke everyone up and I handed the keys accordingly, and we all walked up to our rooms. We said goodnight, and everyone was sleepy, so they really weren't paying attention to the hotel or anything. Except for me.

--

I woke up the next morning, rubbing my eyes forgetting where we were. I saw a small post-it note laying on Noah's side of the bed, which was empty, and grabbed it to examine it.

It read that he was getting some breakfast for us, and I smiled and nodded to myself. I changed into one of my favorite outfits- a pair of light ripped jeans and a bikini top, for the beach, of course.

Once I finished changing I picked up my phone. I saw that Noah had texted me something around five minutes ago, so I looked at the text. It was explaining that he was running late to get breakfast because of the crazy lines. I shrugged and opened my Instagram feed. I saw a photo from Cynthia in her hotel room first in my feed, and I liked it and reposted it to my story.

I was scrolling through my feed when I saw something that wasn't intended for me to see, but I saw it anyways. My heart broke in that exact second. I checked the time it was posted, which was 4 minutes ago, a minute after he texted me that he was running late because of the "lines."

He wouldn't do this. No. I know him too well. Unless I don't.

Tears started streaming down my face when I kept on looking at the photo. It was him. Kissing another girl. And not just any girl. Charli. My ex-best friend. And his ex-girlfriend. In Aruba. Four minutes ago.

I am done with everything. I've been trying for way too long. I don't want to live like this anymore.

With my full-on crying right now, I wrote a post-it note to Noah saying how sorry I am for failing him and promising that I won't fail anyone else. I slipped the engagement ring off my finger, looking at it for the last time in my life and I placed it on top of the note I had just written. I walked out of the room without my key card, ignoring all the different tourists filled in the lobby.

I couldn't take any of this anymore. I can't.
