『S.TENDOU』IT STARTED WITH A WHISPER

I hear the door open and everyone else walks up, laughing and talking happily. We have Semi, Ushijima, Goshiki, Tendou, and then Hiroko. They all see me sitting there waiting for them. I hop down, waving at them with a big smile. We all sit down in a circle, just talking about what we are going to do for the holidays.

Tendou looks slightly uncomfortable, not saying anything. I look at him concerned, but he just avoids eye contact, obviously not wanting to talk about it.

I decide to drop it, not wanting to pressure him. I drop all of the presents in front of me. "Okay, I have something for everyone. You're not allowed to open it until I say so, okay?"

They all agree and take the presents I give them. I sit down, not gracefully at all, which makes everyone laugh. I sit back up, laughing with them. "Okay, you guys can all open your gifts!"

They do as they're told, all being surprised that I got them nicer things. I smile softly, "I thought you guys deserved these. I really hope you like them. Especially you, Ushijima." I laugh, seeing him letting out a soft smile at the chicken stuffed animal I got him. He just looks at me, "this will most definitely remind me of you when I see it." He coughs to hide his small laugh, not wanting people to see anything but his monotonous side. I groan, "oh c'mon, we all know you're capable of smiling."

He just looks down, smiling softly. I smile brightly, "see? You look good when you smile!"

Everyone else thanks me for their gifts, but I see Tendou hasn't opened his yet. I pout softly, "why haven't you opened yours yet?"

He blushes softly, "because I want to be alone when we exchange gifts.."

Everyone gives him a look, "AHHH!!! Not like that!!! I just don't feel the need to get all mushy in front of everyone!"

We all laugh but continue exchanging gifts, all thanking each other, all being happy with what we've gotten. Semi gave me a box of all of my favorite snacks, obviously having gotten both Tendou and Hiroko's help with it. Goshiki got me a simple stuffed animal, having heard that I like them. Ushijima gave me a stuffed pig, including a picture of his pig back at the farm that I've been begging him to see. I think that's the one I was the most excited about. Hiroko gave me AirPods, knowing I've been trying to save up for them but I'm horrible with my money, so I always end up not having enough.

I made sure to give her a huge hug, knowing this is why we're best friends. After all, I gave her this pair of shoes she's been looking at for the longest time. She never bought them though because she would always be spending her money on things for other people. I wanted her to have something nice for herself.

We sit on the roof and talk until sunset, which is when everyone decides to split ways, needing to get rides back home. Tendou and I stay for a while as he wanted to give me a gift still.

He hands me the box, smiling softly. I open it, seeing two smaller boxes within it. I look confused, but then I unwrap those two boxes and I see it's two bond touch bracelets. I look at him, tearing up.

I set the box down, hugging him tightly. He hugs back, rubbing my back, "now even if we don't or can't text, we can still be there for each other."

I kiss his neck lovingly, "this is why I love you, Satori."

We pull away from each other, both smiling. I then remember I still have yet to have him open my present. I grab it, handing it to him, "here! I don't think it's anywhere as nice as yours, but I didn't know what to get you..." I look down, feeling kind of insecure about my gift now.

He opens it, seeing what it is, and immediately smiles happily. He sees the top envelope says 'open when you receive this...'

He opens it, seeing that the contents are simply all of the pictures we have together so far. He looks at me with happy tears, "you saw that picture up by my bed, didn't you?" He laughs. I nod and kiss his nose, "this way, you can have these pictures even if you're not looking at your phone. Do with them as you please~"

He sets the present down, grabbing my hands and pulling me in for a passionate kiss. Once we pull away, we notice it is starting to snow a bit. I laugh softly, "perfect timing, huh?"

He just smiles softly, picking up the presents and carrying them. "Let's get back to the dorms, I'm sure we both have to get home here."

I nod softly, walking with him in peaceful silence. We go our separate ways once we reach the dorm, both of us packing up our stuff to leave.

I catch a bus to get back to my hometown, which is only a short half-hour ride from the academy. I listen to music on the way, looking out the window at the scenery. I send my parents a text, letting them know when I'll be there.

After a short ride, I hop off at the bus stop in town, walking to my house, thankfully not being far away at all. I walk in the door, only to be bombarded by my niece and nephew. I laugh, picking them up and giving them huge hugs. "Sorry I'm late, I was spending some time with my friends before we all had to leave."

My parents laugh, "no, it's okay. I have some dinner saved for you. It's in the microwave. It should be warm still."

I set my niece and nephew down, ruffling their hair before I set my bags in my room, running back downstairs to get some dinner. My older brother sits down at the table with me, "so, what's new? I haven't talked to you in a while."

I blush softly, hoping he doesn't go into protective brother mode. "Well, I've made some more friends, and ihaveaboyfriend-"

He looks at me, "you have a boyfriend?"

I nod, stuffing food in my mouth. He laughs softly, "well, he must be a good one if you decided to tell me. I'll trust your judgment."

I smile softly, being glad he isn't upset because of what happened while I was in secondary school still.

I soon finish my meal, cleaning up after myself as my mother has already cleaned up the kitchen by now. My brother says Goodnight to his kids as his wife puts them down for bed. I make sure to wave Goodnight, also saying hello to my sister-in-law.

I sit down in the living room with my brother, both of us catching each other up about our lives. I soon am yawning, almost falling asleep on the couch.

He laughs, "you should go head to bed. I'm sure you're tired anyway from school."

I nod softly, giving him a hug before I head upstairs. I check my phone, seeing Tendou has sent me his Goodnight text as of 10 minutes ago. I smile softly, texting him back before I get ready for bed.

As I lay down, I hear soft singing, knowing it must be my soulmate. It sounds like they're crying... are their parents fighting or something?

I see that Tendou hasn't texted me back, so he must be asleep. I take off my bracelet, setting it on my nightstand. But after doing that, it lights up. I grab it, touching it in response. I keep the bracelet, along with my phone on my pillow just in case Tendou sends me anything else.
