*HUNTER*
I come out of the shower, put on some clothes and head downstairs. Hazel was no where in sight, my heart picked up pace as I thought something might have happened to her. Maybe those guys come to my place and kidnapped her or she left on her own since I refused to tell her what was going on. She isn’t safe on her own, I have to protect her.
I call out her name and heard her reply. Relief surged through me. I headed in that direction and see her sitting down on the balcony floor. It’s all protective glass so she could still see the traffic.
The wind brought her scent to my nostrils and feel myself harden down below. She smells so delicious... like the roses we had at my grandmother’s, the feeling was so intense inside me I had to clench my jaw and adjust so she wouldn’t catch sight of my growing bulge. I wanted so badly to have her all to myself but I have to be patient. She isn’t like those other girls that I had every day. She is different, she looked so fragile, like she had been through something. I could see that she had built a wall to protect her heart and my fist clenched at the thought of someone breaking her heart in the past. I inhale deeply before speaking.
“Hazel" I said and her eyes flickered up to meet mine. I just stared at them trying to figure out how to tell her without driving her away.
“I don’t know how to say this so I’ll just say it” I said still looking into her eyes, her gaze remained unfazed “those men back there followed you because... because they want to hurt me. They wanted to hurt you so they could hurt me".
Her brows furrow in confusion “what? That doesn’t make any sense. How will they think that? I don’t know you that well so I’m not going to mean anything to you even if they kill me... it will mean nothing “ she replied.
I look at her blankly. She has no idea how hard I’ve fallen for her and how much it would kill me if anything happens to her.
“Well. I guess they must have seen you with me so they came to that conclusion “ I said coolly.
“Well just tell them that we have nothing between us, just circumstances. Do you owe them some money? Is that why they want to hurt you? Just pay them back so they don’t hurt you badly". She replied deep in her own head. She looked up at me before standing up. “well?”
I let out a sigh “it’s not that simple. You know what? I’ll make sure you are protected. That’s until we deal with them".
“You mean kill?” she spat out and I tear my gaze from the view to her face “I know you have a gun on you, it was strapped behind your trousers “.
“I have it for protection that’s all" I defended not wanting to drag the matter any further “I’ll place some guys over you, some will be at your dorm sides too, they will keep their distance so you wont even notice them".
I looked back out “I never wanted this to happen ".
She just stayed quiet staring out. I walked back in and heard her say that she needed to go to school tomorrow. I needed to make some calls.
I dialled Tommy and it rang once before he picked.
“Hey shotgun, what’s up man?” he greeted.
“I’m good tommy. How about you? You done over there?” I asked.
“Yeah pretty much. There’s a shipment coming tonight. You coming or you want me to handle it?” he asked.
“Nah man, I need you to come over. Let Vito take care of it" I replied.
“Is there a problem man?” he asked.
“No. Just something have to tell you.
He mumbled an okay and I ended the call.
