Thunder And Flames (N x Reader)

(N POV)

I land atop Dragonspiral Tower, feeling a slight chill as the wind tugs at me.

"Thanks for bringing me here," I tell Zekrom. "I needed to clear my head."

The dragon crouches down so I can get off his back easier. "What seems to be the trouble?"

I think back to what I had said to Y/N last night. Ugh, even remembering it makes me turn bright red and cover my face.

Zekrom sits down on the worn bricks and lets me lean against his leg.

"I don't think they remember me," I tell him. "And I don't think that's an accident." I take a deep breath and absorb the quiet around me.

Exploring bustling cities and countryside towns is nice, but I really enjoy spending time by myself, where it's quiet.

That quiet doesn't last long, though.

Zekrom gets up, almost knocking me over.

"Someone approaches."

Just as he had said, the sound of footsteps comes closer and closer.

Then none other than Y/N comes up the stairs, eyes widening as they see Zekrom behind me.

"Don't come!" I try to say, but there's no point. It's all over now.

(Y/N POV)

A few minutes earlier...

You don't really think about what all Ghetsis had asked of you until you're about halfway to Icirrus City. That realization causes you to nearly fall off Unfezant's back.

Conquer Unova?? What does that even mean? Doesn't Ghetsis just want to liberate Pokémon from humans? Why would he need you to bother some other Pokémon and take over the region for Arcoos sake?

The cold wind attacks you as Unfezant lands in the snowy city. Looming above you is Dragonspiral Tower, said to be the oldest tower in all of Unova.

You head through the short forest path and make your way up the tower.

There are lots of Pokémon like Golett and Golurk wandering around, as well as the occasional Druddigon. Broken pillars and altars scatter the entire tower, as if it's crumbling from old age.

After making your way up several flights of stairs and through a couple of puzzle rooms, you arrive at the very top of the tower.

The wind is harsh and the sky is cloudy, and it looks like some sort of great battle occurred here, with the destroyed pillars and other pieces of indistinguishable debris.

And to your surprise, N is there, facing away from you, but he turns around just as you approach.

He looks over his shoulder, then back at you with an expression of pure fear. "Don't come!"

But it's too late. You're already looking up at the fierce black dragon standing not far behind him.

Its scales could be made of obsidian, and its eyes flash like lightning. This beast is no other than one of the Legendary Pokémon of Unova, Zekrom!

N looks terrified. He takes a step back towards the dragon who pulls him closer with a huge talon.
