(N POV)

I don't understand. That frustrates me.

When I first met Y/N, I believed them to be a good person.

And they are.

I think.

Anyone willing to aid an injured Pokémon must be a good person.

I think.

I continue through the alleyways of Castelia City, as a light rain begins to fall.

But Y/N uses a Pokédex, and those are for evil people. But Y/N can't be evil. There's no way.

They told me...they had never caught a Pokémon. Should I believe that?

No matter how hard I look at them, or think about them, I can't find a single trace of evil.

A Pokémon can sense its trainer's true intent, and Y/N's Snivy said...amazing things about them.

Y/N would never hurt a Pokémon. Y/N would never hurt...me.

I think.

No, I know.

I shake my head.

I need to study them more. I need to see every side of them.

That's why I left them a note. If they see it, that means destiny is on my side.

It was an easily ignorable piece of paper on the ground, one could easily pass it off as litter. But someone curious enough could be pulled towards it.

Maybe I'm being too cryptic about this.

Maybe I shouldn't become close to them.

Nonetheless, I have an urge to know more about Y/N. I want to know them better.

I let out a sigh. My thoughts are becoming repetitive.

This feeling...

It will surely set the world on fire.

(Y/N POV)

You wait there for a bit until you're sure N is gone, then you clutch Servine's Pokéball. You were so close to losing it, so now all you want to do is hold it tight and never let it go.

You leave the same way N had, and you find a small piece of paper on the ground.

Y/N, I want you to meet me in Nimbasa City. Do it fast before I change my mind.

His writing is messy and rushed, like his speaking patterns. And what does he mean, "Before I change my mind??" Does he want to see you or not?

Well, we have to challenge the Gym before we leave Castelia, so hopefully that doesn't take too much time to N's standards.

You make it to the main plaza and find the Gym.

Looks like the Gym Leader there uses bug-types, which won't be a very good match against Servine.

You're about to go in, but someone comes out.

It's Cheren! He pushes his glasses up with a slight grimace, and his clothes and face are covered in colourful splashes.

"Wow Cheren," you say. "I've never seen you this messy...ever."
