It was only fitting the friend reunion in the coming years was held at the same eventful cabin.

The same people always showed up, sometimes for longer and sometimes for shorter. They invited their friends, and soon, rooms became packed with numerous people, not counting those who slept in the cottage.

Which, also meant people had to share beds.

There was a particular couple who were always there; usually first alongside Bad and Skeppy, who had absolutely no problem with this rule, which would be considered major character development as opposed to their first trip out here.

The said couple: Dream and George.

"They're so disgusting, like, constantly," Sapnap was complaining to Karl, numbering on his fingers the amount of times he had seen them kiss in the last three days. "Keep it to yourself, Jesus."

Despite his harsh words, he was rather supportive, of course, if not their number one fan. Dream had gotten used to this, and George had a tall boyfriend who was more than willing to clap back at Sapnap if he stepped over the line. All of it was in good spirits.

The lake hadn't changed much, even if the people did.

The same old rotting dock bobbed on the shoreline, the same old grass was uncut and bright green. Everything was as they left it, channeled with memories of a past they surely wouldn't forget.

For Dream; it was his favorite place. While not home, as that was reserved for when he was with George, it was a close second. It held different meaning, one that was of revenge and forgiveness.

Revenge was a hopeless cycle. But forgiveness? That could last a lifetime.

The dirty blond glanced behind him, giving Sapnap a meaningful eye roll, before turning back to George, who was watching a fish they had deemed 'Nibbles' race around in the shallow water.

Planting a chaste kiss into his hair, Dream smirked at the groan of Sapnap, and the giggle of George all at once.

Following the faithful summer where most wrongs became righted, Dream decided to stay on his course of study, which meant they took time apart. Trust became the most important thing in their relationship, and both of them were proud to admit the only incident was the one where George's phone and computer had died, and he ran to his neighbors dorm and asked to text. Extra? Sure. But the effort was admirable in Dream's eyes, even if he would have just let that slide.

The times they got to be together were few and far in-between; meaning these summers were the highlight of their lives. Young, wild, and still navigating into their future, it was good to have these memories.

"That's it," Sapnap whispered to his counterpart, who scoffed in response.

"Leave them be, nimrod," Karl teased, but it was too late, as Sapnap shrugged off his t-shirt and went bolting down the planks, yelling, "CANNONBALL!" as he flew over the couples' head. Water splashed up onto the dock, soaking Dream head to toe and George looking the same. A brief moment of silence passed by, before Sapnap resurfaced, laughing hysterically.

"I hate him," George whined, and the tone of voice made Karl salute to Sapnap from where he sat. Sapnap started swimming away, but it was all in worthless efforts as Dream dived in after him.

"What a simp," Karl joined George, dipping his feet in the water.

"What a simp," George echoed with a smile on his face, watching Dream manhandle Sapnap underwater, where an all out battle of kung fu was raged, complete with Sapnap grabbing a waterlogged branch and using it as a katana.
