CHAPTER 11
TRUST ISSUES
I stood outside in the cold night air knocking on Jens door. I haven't seen her since the party and we had a lot of catching up to do. My two best friends were parked on the sidewalk making sure I got in the house safe. I knocked for the fifth time when the doors flew open.
"Skye! Oh my gosh! I got Jeremy's text! The plan is perfect!" She squealed pulling me in a tight hug.
"Hey! Yeah I know," I said hugging her back. "We have lots more to catch up on. Like TJ." I pulled away and winked at her and she blushed, gesturing for me to go inside.
I turned and gave Zac and Jeremy a little wave and they took off. I went inside and locked the doors.
"Hey Skye!" Mrs. Marsters, also known as Mom the second, said hugging me.
"Mom the second! " I said hugging her back before pulling away. "Looking young as ever."
"Oh stop," she said twirling her hair in her finger. "Dinners ready if you girls want to eat."
"Sure," Jen and I said together. We made our way to the kitchen, got our food and went upstairs to Jens room.
"Okay, so first tell me about the creepy stalker dude," she said. "Like, what did he say? Oh and Jeremy also mentioned something about revenge in the text."
I told her everything that the creepy masked guy said to me that night and I also ran the plan over once with her.
"Now, you talk to me about TJ," I said taking a bite of my butter chicken. "I saw you guys in the morning. In the same room. In the same bed." I wiggled my eyebrows and she chuckled.
"You really want to talk about him after what happened to you?" She said. "It's like nothing even happened."
"Well I want to get my mind of things," I sighed. "Thinking about it will just give me a headache."
"Alrighty," She said smiling.
"Tell me everything," I said winking.
"Nothing like that happened between us," she said blushing. "We were just, sharing a bed."
"Right," I said dragging the word.
"Honest!"
"I don't believe you."
"Why not?"
"Because."
"Because what?"
"Never mind," I huffed. She grinned.
"What about you and Raymond?"
I had forgotten about him. How did he slip from my mind?
"I haven't seen him since the party," I said. "Last time I saw him was when I got changed. I didn't see him after that."
"You might see him in school tomorrow."
"Maybe," I said. "Should I tell him about the plan?"
"I don't know," she said looking up at the ceiling. "You should, in a way. I mean, you're going to be around him a lot. And Jeremy said that you need someone around to protect you at all times. And since you're going to be around him a lot, it could ruin the plan because you're kind of like bait."
"True," I said.
Maybe I should tell him. Could I trust him? I just met the guy though. But he's really nice and sweet and he looks trust worthy.
I'm going to tell him.
