Friday morning we are all running very late. We were supposed to have left the house twenty minutes ago.
"We are so late," Yeri says as I rush around the kitchen trying to grab the homework that I had left around the room the night before. I can see Mino leaning against the counter, with an impatient look on his face.
"I know," I reply, breathless from being in such a rush. Irene comes in just as I was putting everything in my bag.
"I hate Friday's." She tells us, grabbing her bag from the table and then taking one of the coffee mugs from Mino, refusing to wait till we get to school to drink it.
"You hate every day you have to get up for school." Mino comments, walking out of the kitchen.
"Let's go." I say, walking out of the kitchen, Yeri and Irene following.
By the time we reach the school we were fifteen minutes late, meaning our classes had already started. I was lucky as I had study period first, yet the others weren't so lucky and were pretty much jogging down the hallway to get to their class.
I push open the door to the study room, coffee mug in hand. I see Rosé, Chahee and Doyeon sitting at a table at the far end of the room. I start making my way over to them, trying to stifle a yawn as I approach.
"Hey, we were wondering when you were going to show up," Chahee says, smiling at me as I sit in the empty seat beside her.
"Yeah, we were running late this morning," I tell her, taking a drink of coffee. I bring my laptop out of my bag, opening the essay that I had been working on.
"Slept in?" Rosé asks, taking in my tired demeanour.
"Yeah, Irene and I were both trying to get assignments done last night and didn't get to bed until late," I explain. Irene and I both had an English assignment that was due today. Both of us hated English, and therefore literally had to force ourselves to finish the assignment.
"What time did you get to bed?" Doyeon asks, shuffling through a stack of papers in front of her, trying to find something.
"Three," I answer, "We finished at around two, but watched TV for an hour," I say realising that probably wasn't the best idea.
"Can't believe you waited until last minute to do that assignment," Chahee comments, being the only one out of the three that shared that class with me.
"Yeah, it was a bad idea, trust me I won't be doing that again," I tell her, getting my notes to the right page, starting to type up the essay, only to have to stop a minute later when my phone buzzes.
Good Kisser: Rough morning?
I angle my phone slightly so Chahee can't see. I place the phone on 'do not disturb mode' before replying, making sure that the buzz doesn't disturb them.
Me: Are you implying that I look like I've had a rough morning?
I glance around the room slightly, trying to find Jisoo, only to see her sitting a few tables away, laptop open sitting in front of her, looking down at her phone.
I hadn't had a chance to spend any time with her since Wednesday in her car. I hated to admit it, yet I was actually missing her company. Even though we actually spent a lot of time talking over text message, and Snapchat. We realised that that was the only social media we could use, without anyone realising that we had added each other.
Good Kisser: No, but now that you mention it...
I smile to myself reading it, hearing the teasing tone to the message.
Me: You really don't live up to the rumours.
I reply, setting my phone on the table before typing another sentence of the essay, only to check my phone again.
Good Kisser: What rumours would those be?
I take a minute, deciding if I should tell her or just keep her guessing.
Me: Well, you are renowned for giving girls compliments, yet here you are telling me that I look like I've had a rough morning.
I keep my phone in my hand, waiting for her reply.
Good Kisser: Renowned? Really? Well, I don't remember these compliments.
I am about to type a reply when she sends a second message.
Good Kisser: If you wanted a complement, all you had to do was ask.
I resist the urge to glance up at her and glare.
Me: I wasn't asking for a compliment.
I reply curtly, kind of offended that she thought that I was implying that I wanted her to give me a compliment.
I set my phone down again, bringing my attention back to my essay. I spend the next ten minutes, refusing to lift the phone again. I hear the bell go, indicating that the class was over. It was only after I had put my laptop back into its case, and slipped it into my bag that I check my phone while waiting on the rest of the girls to tidy up their stuff.
I realise that she had sent three messages.
Good Kisser: I know, maybe I just wanted an excuse to give you one.
I feel a blush creeping up my face. I keep my face down, refusing to let anyone, especially her, see that I was blushing.
Good Kisser: Are you seriously not going to check your phone?
I move past the second message to read the last one, the one that sends a flutter of excitement through me.
Good Kisser: Tonight? Meet me outside Mr Davidson's house. 8pm.
I notice that she made sure the first part of the message was a question, knowing that I hated it when she was demanding.
Me: Maybe I didn't check my phone because you annoy me. See you then.
I take my phone off 'do not disturb' as the girls and I walk out of the room and towards our next class.
The rest of the day went by like most Fridays, everyone getting excited for the weekend. Rosé was no exception to this. Any time that we were along, she was talking about what she should wear to the game on Saturday, or what she should say to Lisa if she came and talked to her.
"Do you think I'm over-reacting to this?" She asks me for the fourth time that day, as we were walking to the car park after school.
"Look, just see how the game goes tomorrow. You will know more when you see her reaction to seeing you tomorrow." I reply.
"You're right. So you are collecting me still, yeah?" She clarifies.
"Of course." I smile at her, lifting my hand in a wave as she heads towards her car and I head towards mine.
By the time Mino comes home from practice that night, Irene was finishing getting ready for her date with Seulgi. When she asked what to wear, I tried to indicate for her to wear something fancier than normal. The only way I could do this without her getting suspicious was to suggest changing her converse to ankle books and a cute top that was from my wardrobe. Fancier than usual yet not too fancy.
"Oh, and wear this," I tell her, grabbing a denim jacket out of her wardrobe, handing it over to her, watching as she puts it on before turning to look at herself in the reflection of the mirror.
"You sure?" She asks, running her hand through her hair, which had loose curls throughout it.
"I'm certain," I tell her, smiling at her in the mirror.
"Seulgi is here," Yeri calls from downstairs. Irene and I make our way down. At the bottom of the stairs, I see Seulgi standing in the doorway beside Yeri. I notice a smile take over her face when she notices her coming down the steps. I feel a smile take over my face watching them.
"Hey," She says, leaning up and placing a small kiss on her cheek.
"Hey, you look beautiful." She tells her. "You ready to go?" She asks.
"Yeah. See you two later." Irene tells us, walking out of the door first. I catch Seulgi's eye before she can follow and wink at her.
"They are actually too cute," Yeri tells me as we go to sit in the living room. It was only six thirty so I had a while before I had to leave to meet Jisoo.
"I know. Guess what?" I ask. I've been waiting to tell her about what Seulgi had planned since she had brought it up on Wednesday, but I knew that I had to wait until they left for the date.
"What?" She asks, leaning towards me slightly, wanting to know what I was going to say.
We spend the next hour talking about Seulgi's plans, trying to guess how Irene would react.
It was after the hour that Mino joined us, turning the TV on. He moved to sit between us on the sofa.
"I thought you would have been out with Sohee?" Yeri asks him.
"She is working. She finishes at eight, so I'm going to collect her from work then." He tells her, checking the watch on his wrist.
"What are you two doing?" I ask, glancing over at my phone sitting on the coffee table.
"Movies. Apparently, there is a new movie out she wants to see." He replies. Ten minutes later he gets up from the sofa, grabbing the keys to my car from the table and heading out of the door.
Dad had said that the car he got for Irene and Mino was to be here next week, but he was to borrow mine until then when I wasn't using it. I had told them that I was going to Rosé's tonight so he could have the car. I follow shortly after, shouting goodbye to Yeri as I head out of the door.
Walking down the street, with the street lights the only thing providing light, I pull my jacket even tighter around me, trying to fend off the cold breeze that was in the air.
Jisoo's car is parked on the side of the road, with its lights off. I walk up to it, pulling open the passenger door and climb in, slamming the door, trying to stop as much of the cool air getting in as possible.
"It's freezing," I say immediately, putting my hands up to the heater.
"Hello to you to," Jisoo teases from her seat. I look over at her, making a face, getting her to laugh.
"Hi," I say finally, feeling heat come back into my hands. I lean back in my seat, putting my seatbelt on.
"Ready?" She asks, putting the car into gear.
"Where are we going anyway?" I ask, watching her hand move from the gear to my thigh, making the butterflies in my stomach start flapping.
"You'll have to wait and see." She replies with a smile that was filled with mischief.
"I don't like secrets you know," I tell her, placing my hand on top of hers.
"It's not a secret, it's a surprise." She tells me.
"Well, I don't like surprises either."
"I'm not going to tell you." She tells me, squeezing my thigh before shifting her hand to interlock our fingers and placing them both on my thigh.
"I could try and get the answer out of you," I suggest, watching as we turn on a road that takes us away from the centre of town.
"Not happening." She replies, yet I hear a slight break in her voice, making a smile overtake my face. I roll my eyes, letting her away with it. I turn to look out of the passenger window, letting the radio fill the comfortable silence.
I realise that the radio was on a different station to the one she forced me to listen to last time. I start wondering if this was for my benefit or if she didn't even realise.
I realise she is taken me to the café that I took her too when we were working on her essay, the moment she turns onto the road it was located.
I smile to myself, squeezing her hand, to which she squeezes back. Once she parks, we make our way in. I feel her presence beside me, yet neither of us makes a move to hold hands.
Inside, I feel the heat hit me, making me pause, savouring it for a second. I head towards the table that we sat at last time. I notice that the place is a lot busier than it was last time we were here.
I slide into the booth, expecting Jisoo to sit opposite me, yet she slides in beside me. We are now sitting closer than we had been in the car and I could smell soap mixed with her shampoo on her.
I grab the menu from the corner of the table, placing it between us as I cross my legs. I feel her hand slip between my thighs so it is caught between them.
"How was practice?" I ask, scanning the menu. I feel her eyes slip from the menu to me, making me meet her gaze.
"Alright... Coach is stressed at the moment, so he has us working extra hard." She tells me, not breaking eye contact.
"Mino was saying the same. Do you know what he is stressed about?" I ask, breaking the eye contact.
"Mick overhead some of the teachers talking and they think he might get fired if the team doesn't do well this season." I can tell Jisoo is still looking at me.
"But you have always been good," I say, glancing at her, seeing a smirk take place on her face.
"I've always been good?" She clarifies.
"I meant the team. Don't get big-headed." I tell her, rolling my eyes.
"Yeah, it's just rumours. They aren't always true you know." She tells me, winking. I realise that she is referring to the rumours I had told her where about her earlier.
"What can I get you two this evening? Oh, hello again." I look up at the waitress to see it is the same woman from the last time we were here.
"Hey, can I have a coffee and the chicken wrap," I tell her, smiling. She gives me a smile back, nodding writing it down before turning to Jisoo.
"I'll have a coke and a burger." She says, also smiling at her. She nods again, writing it down before going back towards the kitchen.
I pick up the menu, placing it back where I got it. Just as I'm sitting back I feel my phone buzz in my pocket. I grab it, pulling it out to see a message from Rosé. I realise it is most likely about tomorrow, so I place it back in my pocket.
"I won't be offended if you reply, you know," Jisoo tells me.
"No, it's ok, it can wait," I tell her, smiling up at her. She raises her eyebrows slightly.
"So, is she coming to the game tomorrow?" She asks, casually, too casually.
"Yeah, how did you know that?" I ask, trying to get information out of her, without trying to be too obvious.
"You know how I know." She tells me, looking over at me and when she sees me raising my eyebrows in question she says, "Lisa told me she asked if she was going and that Rosé said yes."
"If you knew she said yes, why did you ask?" I ask, watching her.
"Just... checking." She says, looking down at the table.
"Does she like her?" I ask the question that I needed to know the answer to.
"She wouldn't have asked her if she didn't." Jisoo clarifies like it was obvious.
"Well, she could have been a little more obvious about it," I tell her.
"Lisa asked her to the game, isn't that obvious?" She asks, looking back up at me.
"No, it wasn't," I tell her, shaking my head at how clueless she was.
"How was it not obvious?"
"Firstly, she is playing in the game, and therefore it is a question that is normally asked by the players, so how is she supposed to know if she was asking because she actually wanted her to go? Secondly, she didn't even make plans to see her at the game." I tell her, rolling my eyes at her.
"She said she would see her at the game." She says like that proves her point.
"Exactly. Lisa didn't say to meet her after the game or anything. She could literally have meant that she could walk past her and see her but not actually talk to her." I tell her. She looks at me for a minute, looking thoughtful.
"You're saying she needed to be less subtle?" She asks.
"Way less subtle." I clarify as the waitress comes back holding our drinks.
"Your food will be right out." She tells us smiling before walking back to get our food.
"She is definitely coming, though?" She asks again.
"Did Lisa ask you to ask me?" I ask, smiling at her, realising that I was right, which meant she really did like her.
She doesn't get to answer as the waitress came back holding our food. She places Jisoo's burger down in front of her first before placing my wrap in front of me.
As soon as the food os in front of her, she removes her hand from my legs and grabs the burger taking a bite. I follow suit and start chewing on the side dish of chips before putting some ketchup on the side of the plate.
The rest of the dinner surprises me. We are laughing constantly and talking about everything. By the end, I feel like I knew a lot more about her. On one hand, I was happy about this yet I also had the realisation that I actually liked her. Not as in liked her that I was attracted to her, but genuinely liked her. Since Tuesday night neither of us has mentioned this being anything more than the deal that was set up at the start.
I realise that I can't have these feelings, this is only going to end in me getting hurt.
"What's wrong?" She asks as we finish our food.
"Nothing," I say, trying to clear my mind of my previous thoughts.
"You're not very good at lying." She tells me, looking at me in the eyes.
"Honestly, it's nothing," I say, smiling at her, trying to pretend the thoughts never occurred.
"You sure?" She asks, clearly not believing me.
"Yeah."
I turn away from her, lifting my phone out of my pocket to check the time. Half nine. I also notice that Rosé has sent another message.
Rosé: I don't think I'm going tomorrow.
I immediately ignore it and go onto the next one, knowing what it will say before I read it.
Rosé: Ignore that last message, I'm going.
I mentally roll my eyes, typing out a quick message to her, reassuring her that everything will be fine.
"You ready to go? I want to show you something." Jisoo says, getting my attention as soon as I place my phone on the table again.
"Yeah, I am." I smile up at her. She places a small kiss on my lips before getting out of the booth and going over to pay for the food. I sit there for a second, trying to pull myself together before following her. I notice the waitress that served us coming over to clear the table.
"Thank you," I tell her, making a move to leave.
"You two are a cute couple by the way." She tells me smiling sincerely. I stop and turn back to her, feeling another blush take hold of my face.
"Oh, we aren't together, not like that anyway," I tell her, giving her a stiff smile.
"Really? Sorry, my mistake." She says, smiling knowingly like she had a secret that only she knew. I simply nod at her, before turning around and walking to Jisoo who was waiting on me at the door.
I take one last glance at the waitress before walking out of the door, that Jisoo held open. She was still watching us, the same smile on her face.
"You've turned very silent. Are you sure everything is ok?" Jisoo asks as we climb into the car. I pull my seatbelt on before answering her.
"Yeah, I'm sure," I tell her, smiling before leaning over to give her a quick kiss. I start pulling back, only for her hand to come up to my neck, pulling me back to her. I feel her tongue pressing against my bottom lip, asking for entrance. I lift my own hands to her chest, sliding up to hold her shoulders.
She pulls away slightly, leaning her forehead on mine for a second. I feel her breath fan over my face. She smiles before pulling back and sitting in her seat. I mirror her, both of us sitting ready to go.
"What is it you wanted to show me?" I ask as she starts pulling out of the car park. Like before, she places her hand on my thigh, only making the butterflies start back up in my stomach.
"Something I think you will like." She tells me, taking her eyes off the road for a second to give me a genuine smile, making an unstoppable smile appearing on my own lips.
"That doesn't answer my question," I tell her, changing the radio station when a song that I didn't like came on. She doesn't say anything about the radio, only watches me as I try and find a station that didn't annoy me.
"You will just have to have a bit of patience." Sbe teases me, squeezing my thigh.
"I'm not a patient person," I tell her, hoping she will just tell me what it is.
"I've noticed." She tells me in a teasing tone. I realise that we are heading back into town.
"Please?" I say sweetly, wrapping my arms around hers, leaning towards her slightly.
"That won't work." She tells me, a smile appearing on her face.
"Really?" I ask, using the same sweet tone and reach over, placing a butterfly kiss just below her ear. I feel her freeze, allowing me to know that I was affecting her. I pull back, not wanting to distract her too much while driving. "Still won't tell me?"
"Nope." She says stiffly, making me laugh. I see her rolling her eyes when she realises that I know she was lying.
Instead of pushing her any further, I sit back pulling my phone out when I feel another message come through on my phone. At first, I think it is Rosé, yet I see that it is Doyeon.
I glance up at the road to see us turn onto a road I didn't recognise. I notice trees on either side of the road.
"You know if you have brought me out to the middle of no-where to kill me, I won't be happy," I say, jokingly.
"Would anyone be?" She replies. I roll my eyes, watching as she pulls off the roads, into a small empty car park.
"Seriously, where are we?" I ask, looking out into the darkness that lies beyond the headlights.
"You will see." She replies, getting out of the car. I follow her, cautiously. "Come on," She tells me, meeting me at the front of the car, grabbing my hand with hers and pulling me.
"You know, I don't particularly like hiking in the dark..." I tell her, feeling the coldness start spreading over me.
"Just a bit further." She says reassuringly, squeezing my hand. We walk through the trees for a minute or two, Jisoo using the flashlight on her phone to make sure we keep our footing. After a minute or two I notice the trees stopping, revealing a small opening. Jisoo walks into the opening, pulling me along. I see that we are actually on a hill, with a fence at the far side, to stop anyone falling the steep dip.
"What are we-" I was cut off as soon as I lay my eyes on the scene before me. We are at a viewpoint that looked over the town. I could make out all the lights from the houses and streetlights. It was beautiful. I feel myself go breathless for a moment, not believing my eyes.
"Wow." I breathe out.
"I told you, you would like it," Jisoo says, stepping closer to me, placing an arm around my shoulders and kissing the top of my head. I instantly feel the body heat from her, reducing the chill I felt.
"I love it." I tell her, leaning into her, "How did you find out about this place?" I ask, not being able to take my eyes off the view.
"Soojoo found it years ago and when she left for University she told me about it." She replies. I glance up at her to see that her gaze was also focused on the view of the town. I wrap my arm around her waist, allowing me to lean further into her.
I look back out and we both stay like that for a few minutes, both standing in each other's arms, lost in our own thoughts. I feel the cold breeze around us, making my hair sway.
"Jisoo?" I ask after a moment, an overwhelming feeling of gratitude overcoming me.
"Yeah?" She replies, sounding as if she is still in her own thoughts.
"Thank you for sharing this with me," I say, looking up at her. She shifts her gaze to me, smiling. I am about to return the smile, when her eyes shift to my lips, making my own drop to hers.
She leans down, stopping a few centimetres from my lips. She stands there, eyes locked with mine. I count a beat and when she doesn't make any move to go any further I feel my impatience building, resulting in me covering the distance between us.
It starts slow like we had all the time in the world. She shifts her arms so they are wrapped around my waist and mine go around her neck, pulling her closer. I rise to my tippy toes so I can deepen the kiss, allowing her to stand straighter.
Just then, I feel a big breeze fly past, causing my hair to fly around us and a shiver to run through me. As soon as she feels me shiver, she pulls back slightly asking, "You cold?"
"A tiny bit," I reply, feeling another shiver to run through me.
"Come on, we will go back to the car." She suggests, removing her hands from my waist and taking a step back. I nod once, looking back at the view of the town, trying to imprint it into my memory, before following her towards the car.
As we reach the trees, I reach out and lace my fingers through hers. She uses her phone's flashlight, pointing it to the ground again as we make it back to the car.
"Here." She says, grabbing something from the backseat, once we were both in the car. I realise she is pulling out a hoodie, which has the school's football's team logo on it. I gladly accept it, peeling my jacket off and slipping the hoodie on, before placing the jacket over it.
"Thanks," I say, watching her turn the battery on and turning the heat up high. I raise my hands to the heater, allowing the warm air to rush over them.
"I didn't think it was going to be this cold." She mumbles, grabbing another hoodie from the back seat and throwing it over her own head. "Jesus, you are like ice!" She exclaims, when our hands brush when we both go to turn the radio up.
"I'm fine," I reply, putting my hands back in front of the heater. She obviously doesn't believe me though, as a second later I see her reaching for me, pulling me towards her.
"Come here." She says, gesturing to her lap. I shift so I am sitting on her knee, with my legs over hers, my back leaning against the door and feet on the passenger seat. The moment I have sat down, I feel her arms wrap around me, pulling my side into her chest. I lift one arm to put it around her neck, while I hold the other in front of the heater again. I immediately feel her body heat spreading through me.
"Do you want to play twenty questions?" I ask, feeling her chuckle against me.
"Sure. You go first." She says, amusement clearly in her voice.
"Ok. What's your favourite colour?" I ask.
"Purple. Yours?" She asks. I glance down at her, wondering if she was going to just ask my questions back the whole game.
"Baby blue. Hmmm, favourite food?"
"Anything from the Chinese in town. That place makes the best food." She replies, placing her face in the crook of my neck, making my jump slightly when I feel her cold nose touch the sensitive skin. "Favourite subject?"
I smile, accepting that she was going to play the game properly. "History. Hate all the essays that we get, but I think all those facts and everything is really interesting." I reply.
We spend the rest of the night playing the game, both of us keeping the questions light, nothing too deep. It is after I have answered her final question that I glance at the time, realising that I should get getting home.
"I should get back," I tell her, yet not making any motion to move. She is sitting back in her seat, one arm still behind me, resting on the armrest on the door and the other wrapped around a leg that I had leaning against her chest. I, on the other hand had removed my arm from behind her neck and was sitting with both my hands resting on my lap.
"I was going to ask you something." She tells me, the hand on my legs drawing circles on my knee.
"Yeah?"
"My parents are leaving tomorrow morning for some business trip, so I was wondering if you wanted to stay at mine tomorrow night?" She asks, smiling at me.
"Aww, you want to have a sleepover? I could bring face masks and we could watch Mean Girls?" I ask, pretending excitement. I let a smile form on my face, watching her roll her eyes at me.
"I am not watching Mean Girls!" She tells me.
"So, yes to the face masks?" I clarify.
"No." She replies, leaning over and kissing me, biting my bottom lip.
"Ok," I tell her, giving her another quick kiss before climbing back over to my own seat, turning back I see a smirk on her face making me roll my eyes.
Like usual, we drive back with her hand placed firmly on my thigh. However, this time we actually start talking about some of the answers that we gave while playing the game. The conversation flows easily, almost easier than it had ever flowed with anyone I had been out with.
When she drops me off at Mr Davidson's, I lean across giving her a quick kiss, realising how late I was. "See you tomorrow, and good luck."
"Thanks, see you then." She replies, watching as I climb out of the car and quickly jog to my house, to get out of the cold.
Irene is already home by the time I get into the house. I can see her sitting in the living room, watching TV. I walk to the door, leaning in to see if she was alone. When I realise that she was indeed alone I walk in and sit beside her on the sofa.
"Well, how was your night?" I ask, trying to sound casual. I see her smile at me.
"You know how my night went. You told her didn't you?" She accuses, a teasing tone in her voice.
"Yeah, but seriously, tell me everything!" I say, moving on the sofa so I was fully facing her.
"Ok, well first..." She started, practically jumping on her seat, telling me the story. We spend the next hour talking about her date with Seulgi.

Please tell me if y'all find any mistake, I didn't have time to check it out twice
