"What are you doing? Tarrlok! You can't keep us in here forever!" Korra yelled at Tarrlok as he bloodbent her into the platinum box. Y/N tried to get out of the ropes she was in but it was useless. They were tied on tight and done well. Tarrlo exited the cabin and drove his vehicle back to Republic City leaving Korra and Y/N in the place in the mountains.
"Who is this? It's six in the morning! This better be important!" Meelo answered the phone annoyed that he got woken up early. Tenzin sat up and took the phone from his son "Councilman Tenzin here" he spoke into the phone, his face full of shock at the news receiving "What!"
Reporters took pictures of the damages in City Hall when Tenzin arrived at City Hall. "What happened?" Tenzin asked as he walked towards Tarrlok. "What were Korra and Y/N doing at City Hall?" he asked Tarrlok.
"As I told Chief Saikhan" Tarrlok started and stood up pulling his sleeve down. "Korra and Y/N came to my office late last night. They were upset that I arrested their friends. They asked me to release them and... that's when the equalists attacked. I tried to protect Korra and Y/N, but we were outnumbered. Then, I was electrocuted. When I came to, the police had arrived. But Korra and Y/N were gone. I'm so sorry. Chief Saikhan, mobilize the entire police force. We have to find the Avatar and her sister." Tarrlok told the Chief.
Lin was lying down on her bed as she listened to the radio. "We interrupt your regularly scheduled broadcast to bring you this special report. Late last night, Equalists attacked City Hall" Lin sat upright and turned the radio, and listened to it closely. "Subduing Councilman Tarrlok and capturing Avatar Korra and Master Y/N. Details are still coming in, b-" Lin shut off the radio and slowly got out of her bed groaning as she held her arm Lin went into her closet and looked at her Metalbending Police uniform. She Metalbends her uniform onto her body as she glances down and looks at the insignia on the chest of her uniform Chief of Police tears It off and puts it in her coat pocket. "Hope you got enough beauty rest. Come on, I'm busting you out" Lin says to Asami and steps out of the doorway.
"Thanks. I owe you." Asami says as she walks out of the cell. After busing Asami out they went and got Mako and Bolin. Lin Metalbends off the door to their cell.
"Asami!" Mako said as he embraced Asami and gives her a kiss.
"Ahh. A little privacy please" Bolin squeaks out.
"Are you all right?" Mako asks Asami.
"I'm fine! it's good to see you." Asami replies to Mako.
"Hate to break up your lovers' reunion, but Korra and Y/N are in trouble. Amon captured them." Lin informed them.
"No no, they can't be gone!" Makos says.
"Come on, we have an Avatar and Master of Waterbending to rescue," Lin says as they walk out of the cell.
Lin turned her head outward, her expression indifferent "Your fly was down" she told Bolin.
"Thanks for catching that" he responded embarrassingly.
"Somebody! Help! Please! Please." Korra shouts when she stops she hears Tenzin's voice. "I urge you to meditate on these visions. I believe Aang's spirit is trying to tell you something." Korra inhales a deep breath and assumes a meditative pose.
"What are you doing here, Aang? I told you, I have this under control." Toph told Aang.
"Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't get involved, but if what those victims said is true, we're not dealing with a normal criminal," Aang said.
"Fine. Follow me, Twinkle Toes." Toph said with a smile.
"Toph, I'm forty years old. You think you could stop with the nicknames?" Aang said, annoyed.
"'Fraid not," Toph replied with a smile as she walked away. Aang grimaced in annoyance and followed Toph.
"It's over! You're under arrest, Yakone!" Toph says calmly.
"What is Republic City coming to? Used to be, a man could enjoy his lunch in peace," Yokane said calmly. Toph bent a cable from her belt around his wrist and yanked him forward and knocked over his table. Toph officer goes behind and cuffs him. "What's the big idea?"
"We have dozens of witnesses, Yakone. We know what you are." Aang told Yakone/
Toph gestured to her officer "Take him away."
"I've beaten every trumped-up charge you yahoos have brought against me! And I'll beat this one, too." Yakohne said in confidence and arrogance.
"Whoa. I finally connected with you, Aang. But, what are you trying to tell me? A way out of this box would be nice." Korra said and inhaled again and closed her eyes and began meditating again.
"I have to go. Call me back the minute you hear anything." Tenzin said and hung up the phone. "Lin? Wh-wh-what are y- What are y- You should be in the hospital! And you three! You should be in prison!" he stuttered out.
"I figured you could use our help finding Korra and Y/N," Lin told him.
Mako stepped forward anxiously and asked, "Do you have any leads?"
"I've been on the phone all morning, but nothing yet," Tenzin replied.
"We need Naga! She can track Korra and Y/N" Mako said coming up with another idea.
"I'm afraid her polar bear dog is missing as well," Tenzin says.
"Then where do we start?" Bolin asked them.
"My guess is the Equalists are hiding underground in the maze of tunnels beneath the city," Lin suggested.
"Underground ... just like my father's secret factory. Figures." Asami said bitterly.
"Yeah! Yeah, that makes sense! When those chi-blockers had me in their truck, it sounded like we drove into a tunnel!" Bolin said as he remembered the time he got kidnapped by the Equalist.
"I know where to start looking! Come on!" Mako says as he runs out of the room.
"Wherever Amon is keeping Korra and Y/N, I bet that's where my officers are too," Lin tells Tenzin.
"Let's bring them all home, Lin," Tenzin says to Lin as they walk out of the room.
"The truck with Bolin took off down this alley," Mako said as they landed in Downtown of Republic City. The group runs to the intersection.
"Which way?" Asami asked.
"Hmm. This way kinda ... smells familiar." Bolin says as he sniffs the air.
Lin metalbends the sole of her shoe back and tests the ground with seismic sense. "There's a tunnel nearby," she informed the group and ran down the tunnel with the group behind her.
"There!" Mako finds the metal gate and points to it.
"Motorcycle tracks," Lin says as she inspects the ground.
"Korra has to be in there ... somewhere," Mako says.
Lin metalbends the gate open and the groups walk into the tunnel Mako uses his Firebending to light the way for the group.
"Let's try this way," Mako tells the group.
"And what if Korra's not down there?" Asami asked Mako.
"Then we pick another tunnel until we find her!" Mako says sharply, not noticing the hurt on his girlfriend's face.
As the group walks, Asami drops back and walks with Bolin. "Hey, is Mako all right? He seems really worried about Korra." Asami asked Bolin.
"Yeah, we all are!" Bolin says worried.
"I know, but he's your brother. Do you think that he likes Korra as more than just a friend?" Asami asked Bolin again.
"W-What? No! That's just gossip, where'd you hear that? Crazy talk is coming out of your mouth right now. Heh ..." Bolin says in a high-pitched nervous voice.
Asami placed her hand on his shoulder and demanded he tell her "What do you know, Bolin? Come on, spill it."
"Nothing! I mean, there was this one time during the tournament when Mako and Korra kissed, but-" Bolin starts only to be cut off by Asami in shock.
"They ... kissed?" Assami said in shock as she looked at Mako.
"Believe me, I was upset too, but I'm over it. I don't think it meant anything." Bolin tries to reassure her.
"I doubt that." Amasi says when they hear motorcycle noises
"Hide!" Lin whispered.
As the Equalist motorcycles approach, the five duck behind a pillar. One Equalist flips a switch on his motorcycle dash, which exposes a concealed door in the tunnel's opposite wall. The two motorcycles sprint inside, and the door closes quickly. Lin makes a witty expression and walks through the tunnel, followed by the others. She runs her hand across the door, triggering the opening mechanism and forcing the door open. The group rushes in, closing the door behind them. They get close to a vast open area where Equalists are putting supplies onto tram carts on tracks that lead into various tunnels. Loading and traffic are being directed by an Equalist with a clipboard.
"Everything was delivered to the prison, sir." a female equalist said as they both walked away.
"That's where they must be keeping Korra and Y/N" Tenzin whispers to the others.
"We need to get down that tunnel," Lin said.
Lin signals the group with her hand, and they all rush to the tram and climb aboard. The tram begins to pass through the tunnel. Two Equalists are waiting for the tram at the tunnel's exit. To mark the tram's arrival, a light flashes and an alarm sounds. It comes to a complete stop with nothing within.
"It's empty!" the Equalist shouts.
"Yeah, I can see that." The Equalist sarcastically responds.
Lin grabs the two Equalists and drags them inside the tunnel using her metalbending wires. The two Equalists are pictured chained together.
"You two, keep an eye on them." Lin commanded Bolin and Asami. Lin searches the prison using her seismic sense. "My officers are inside," Lin says out loud.
"What about Korra and Y/N?" Mako asks curiously.
"I don't see them yet," Lin tells him.
Mako, Lin, and Tenzin begin walking down the corridor. When they turn the corner, they notice two Equalists preparing to attack them. Tenzin's Airbending knocks them against a wall. Mako rushes up to them and grabs one of them, removing his mask in the process.
"Avatar Korra. Where are you keeping her and her sister?" Mako says angrily.
Lin gazed into the cell where her metalbending officers were imprisoned. She walks in after metalbending the bars apart.
"Chief Beifong?" an officer tiredly asked.
"I'm too late. That monster already took your bending, didn't he?" Lin asked sadly. The cop simply nods. Lin seems downcast. "I'm so sorry. Come on, let's get you out of here." The officers all stand up and follow Lin out of the cell. Mako, who has the Equalist pinned against a wall.
"I'll ask you one more time; where are they?" Mako askes again.
"We don't have the Avatar, and the Equalists didn't attack City Hall. Tarrlok's lying." The equalist said weakly while grabbing Mako's arm.
"What?" Mako says in shock and drops the man down.
Lin walked up to Mako and said "I scanned the entire prison. Korra and Y/N are not here."
"Why would Tarrlok make up a story about getting attacked?" Mako asked.
"Because he has Korra and Y/N. He fooled us all!" Tenzin realized. A siren sounds, and the party rushes back to where Bolin and Asami are stationed.
"Let's go, people!" Bolin shouts.
Everyone boards the tram, which then departs. Equalists in another tram begin to close the gap. Bolin's earthbending causes the tunnel sides to crumble, leading the tram to smash into the ruins. "Try to chi-block that, fools!" Bolin taunted.
Lin, who is sitting at the front of the tram, spots an army of Equalists waiting ahead. The Lieutenant and various mecha tanks are among them. "We've got more company! Hang on!" Lin says as she bends a metal rail from the ceiling to the track. Lin earthbends a hole in the ceiling as the tram climbs the line. The tram flies through the opening and lands on the tunnel floor above. Lin makes another hole in the ceiling, and daylight pours in, causing everyone to sigh.
"Yakone has ruled Republic City's criminal empire for years. Yet he has always managed to stay out of the law's reach, until now. You will hear testimony, from dozens of his victims, and they will tell you, Yakone has maintained his grip on the underworld by using an ability that has been illegal for decades. Bloodbending" the Prosecution attorney said.
"The prosecution's entire case is built upon the make-believe notion that my client is able to bloodbend at will, at any time on any day. I remind the council that bloodbending is an incredibly rare skill and it can only be performed during a full moon. Yet, the witnesses will claim that my client used bloodbending at every other time except during a full moon. It would be a mockery of justice to convict a man of a crime that is impossible to commit." The defense attorney said.
"Councilman Sokka will now deliver the verdict." Bailiff siad.
"In my years, I have encountered people born with rare and unique bending abilities. Why, I once bested a man with my trusty boomerang who was able to firebend with his mind. Why, even metalbending was considered impossible for all of history until our esteemed Chief of Police, Toph Beifong, singlehandedly developed the skill. The overwhelming amount of testimony and evidence has convinced this council that Yakone is one of these unique benders and he exploited his ability to commit these heinous crimes. We find Yakone guilty of all charges and sentence him to life in prison." Sokka said.
Sokka seals the decision by pounding his gavel. In frustration, the defense attorney crumples up a piece of paper, throws it, and smacks his fist on the table. He turns to face his client as Yakone slowly rises, grinning. Sokka shouts out in anguish as his body contorts, and the other councilmen follow suit after a few while. Toph was horrified briefly before attempting to halt Yakone by metalbending her cables at him. Yakone rolls his eyes at her, instantly incapacitating her. He laughs as he turns and sees that he has control of the entire room. As he extends out his hand to Yakone, Aang struggles.
"Thank you all for meeting us on such short notice." Tenzin thanked everyone.
"Chief," Lin said to Saikhan coldly
"Lin," Saikhan replied just as coldly.
"Have you news of Avatar Korra and Master Y/N?" Tarrlok asked as he approached from behind.
"We do." Tenzin, said as he pointed at Tarrlok angrily. "You kidnapped them, Tarrlok!"
"I am shocked you would accuse me of such an evil act! I already explained: Equalists attacked us and took them!" Tarrlok said innocently.
"But there were no chi-blockers here last night. You planted the evidence, didn't you?" Tenzin pointed out.
"That is a ridiculous accusation!" Torrlok said in annoyance.
"It's true! He took her! I was here when Avatar Korra arrived last night, but Councilman Tarrlok ordered me to leave. I was on my way out when I saw Tarrlok bring her down to the garage" Council page said hiding behind the pillar.
"That is nonsense! Everyone knows you're nothing but a squeaky-voiced liar!" Tarrlok response.
Lin crossed her arms "why did you wait until now to 'fess up?" Lin asked Liz
"I was terrified to tell because ... Because Tarrlok is a bloodbender! He bloodbent Avatar Korra and Master Y/N!"Council page shouted.
Tenzin looked at Tarrlok "Don't make this worse for yourself. Tell us where you have Korra and Y/N" he said as he read it himself to fight.
Lin assumes her stance as well, and the two ready to attack. Tenzin and Lin both bend at Tarrlok, but he gains control of their bodies before they can hit him. Tarrlok bloodbends everyone in the room to their knees, causing everyone to scream in agony. Tarrlok continues to bloodbend until everyone falls unconscious one by one. Tarrlok steps back and departs the scene. Lin approaches Tenzin, who is unconscious. "Wake up" Lin slapped Tenzin across the face, completely waking him up. As Bolin wakes up and wanders about, Mako assists Asami in getting up.
"Ughh! Man! I had this awful dream that Korra was taken by this evil bloodbender. So weird." Bolin said as he looked at the couple.
"Bolin, that really happened. He knocked us out." Asami responded unamused.
"Are you serious? Where is he? Is he here right now?" Bolin said in shock.
"Tarrlok is long gone. I'll alert the whole force." Saikhan told the group as he and the council members walked out.
"We've only been out for a little while. Maybe we can still pick up Tarrlok's trail." Lin said to the group.
"It could lead us to Korra! Let's go." Tenzin said as everyone ran outside and Oogie.
Korra is meditating in a box. A flashback to Aang's past. Yakone is bloodbent on Aang, who is smirking with delight at his own might. Cut to Sokka's face, then Toph's, as Yakone commands her to take a key ring from her deputy's belt and float over to him. He makes Toph unlock his cuffs, which fall to the ground. He flexes his wrists and raises his hands, attempting to bloodbend everyone unconscious. When he notices that Aang is still awake, he levitates him into the air.
"Yakone. You won't get away with this!" Aang said weakly.
"Republic City's mine, Avatar. I'll be back one day to claim it." Yakone shouted as he ran out of City Hall.
Yakone bloodbends Aang onto the dais steps, knocking him out, before fleeing. He races away in a cart drawn by an ostrich horse. Meanwhile, Aang regains consciousness, his eyes and tattoos briefly glowing. On a gigantic air scooter, he blasts out of City Hall and swiftly catches Yakone, who looks up and gasps. Aang directs a gust of wind to separate the ostrich horse's harness from the cart, causing it to flip onto its side and come to a halt. Aang coasts ahead of the cart and waits a moment. Yakone comes through the side entrance, bloodbending him to the ground.
"This time I'm gonna put you to sleep for good!" Yokane said as he bloodbent aang.
As Yakone levitates Aang into the air and begins contorting his body into agonizing and near-death postures, Aang groans in pain. His eyes and tattoos suddenly sparkle again, and the bloodbending has no effect on him. As he resists, he earthbends a cone of granite around Yakone's body, immobilizing him entirely, and rests his thumbs on Yakone's forehead and chest.
"I'm taking away your bending, for good It's over," Aang said.
Korra stopped meditating "Aang ...this whole time... you were trying to warn me about Tarrlok." Korra said. "Y/N! Are you okay!?" Korra shouted out for her sister.
"I'm okay Korra," Y/N replied as she opened her eyes from her meditating pose. Y/N opens her mouth when she hears the sound of a door opening.
"My life is a disaster now, thanks to two," Tarrlok said.
"So your little bloodbending secret's out? And I know how you bloodbent me without a full moon. You're Yakone's son." Korra said. While Y/N tried to get out of the ropes.
"I was his son, but in order to win Republic City, I had to become someone else. My father failed because he tried to rule the city from its rotten underbelly. My plan was perfect. I was to be the city's savior. But you, you ruined everything!" He corrected Korra.
"Tarrlok, the jig is up and you have nowhere to go," Korra said.
"Let us go Tarrlok!" Y/N demanded.
"Oh no. No, I'll escape and start a new life. And you're coming as my hostage" Tarrlok said as he walked away from Korra to Y/N. "For your sister on the other hand... she's just a craving for my sweet tooth." He said as he grabbed Y/N's face.
"Let go of my face Tarrlok" Y/N calmly said. Tarrlok released her face and walked up the stairs.
"You'll never get away with this!" Korra shouted at him.
Tarrlok walks to the top of the steps and gasps when he sees Amon, the Lieutenant, and several chi-blockers waiting for him.
"Amon!" Tarrlok says shocked to see him.
"It is time for you to be equalized," Amon said and took his bending away.
"You fool! You've never faced bending like mine" he said as he started to blood bend him but to use.
"What? What are you?" Tarrlok asked.
"I am the solution," Amon responded.
Amon takes Tarrlok's arm and twists him around till he is standing behind him. Tarrlok groans as he jabs his right hand at the base of his neck, and he moves his left hand toward his forehead as Tarrlok watches in terror. Korra sat in her box, hearing Tarrlok's agonizing scream as his bending is removed. The camera pans up a floor as he drops to the ground with wide-open eyes, and she glances up toward the ceiling. As Amon raises Tarrlok's lifeless body onto his shoulders, the Equalists all groan and stand up.
"I'll take care of him. You four retrieve the Avatar and her sister. Do not underestimate them. Electrocute the box to knock her out before you open it." Amon tells him.
"My pleasure." the Lieutenant responded.
Korra gazes at the bars at the top of the box as she hears the Equalists. Y/N struggled with the ropes and was close to getting out of them.
"It's back time," the Lieutenant says as he electrocutes the platinum box.
Korra fakes cries of pain from within the box while electricity flows through it. She has removed one of her armbands and wrapped it around a roof bar. She is suspended from it so that she is not injured by the electricity. The hanging bulb above the box breaks, and the Lieutenant takes a step back.
"Open the box. Tie her up." the Lieutenant tells the Chi- blocker.
As Korra eventually bursts out of the box, she firebends a tremendous burst of flame from her foot, forcing the Equalists back. Giving her sister enough time to get out of the ropes and helping Korra. The Equalists hurl bolas at them, but they dodge and Korra earthbends a massive wave, sending them flying. As Korra bursts out of the house, Amon is loading Tarrlok onto his truck. Korra locks her gaze on Amon for a brief while before bending snow into ice spears. He dodges, giving her and Y/N time to flee and leap off the mountain's steep side. The Equalists are on the rise.
"I thought I told you not to underestimate them." Amon told the lieutenant as he watched her and her sister escape.
Korra glances back as she snowboards down the mountain using waterbending. She trips over a tree root and flies into the air before crashing into a tree. She groans as snow falls on her and she loses consciousness.
"Korra are you okay" Y/N tries to help her sister but loses consciousness as well. Naga emerges afterward and rushes up to Korra and Y/N. She licks Korra's and Y/Ns faces, arousing them.
"Naga. You came looking for us, Good girl." Korrra praised her. The two sisters got on Naga and rode back to the City.. Korra in the front and Y/N in the back holding Korra up. They rode back to Republic City, and Naga howled, alerting Oogie and who was on him. Once Oogie lands everyone runs off him.
"Korra! Y/N! Oh, thank goodness." Tenzin said in relief.
"Where's Tarrlok? How did you two get away?" Lin asked.
Mako shoved Lin and Tenzin away from Korra and took her off Naga. "I'll take Naga back to the Island," Y/N said exhausted.
"No. You'll ride back with us and we'll have Naga on Oogie." Tenzin said as he carried Y/N to Oogie.
Y/N Pov
You felt so weak and exhausted that all you wanted was to go home back to Air Temple Island. Holding Korra tight against your body and finally getting back to Republic City Naga howls too exhausted to tell her not. You soon see a flying Bison land near you and see people running off to where you and Korra were.
You heard Tenzin say his voice full of relief. "Korra! Y/N! Oh, thank goodness."
"Where's Tarrlok? How did you two get away?" Lin asked. Always the straightforward one and asking questions Lin. Not even a break.
Mako shoved Lin and Tenzin away from Korra and took her off Naga. "I'll take Naga back to the Island," you said exhaustingly in your voice.
"No. You'll ride back with us and we'll have Naga on Oogie." Tenzin said as he carried you to Oogie. You give Lin a small exaggerated smile which she gives you in return. You soon fall asleep in Tenzin's arms.
When I say I wore this in one day I mean it. It took a couple of hours but I did it y'all. Hopefully this was to your liking after being dead for awhile 😭 I think I lost my writing skills.
