The man sighed and stepped back, looking at the result of his weeks of hard work. The result was glowing slightly in the dimly lit cave. "Is it done?" A voice said, striking terror through the man's body. "Y-Yes, it is." He stuttered back, bowing deeply. He heard a chuckle that echoed off the stone walls. "Good. Then I won't be needing you anymore." The voice said, and the man's eyes widened. "W-Wait, what?!" He sputtered, looking around wildly with bloodshot eyes. Another chuckle, and then the man let out an involuntary gasp as he felt the air get knocked out of his chest. He looked down shakily and realised with horror he had been impaled. He heard a cold laugh as the object left his chest with a harsh yank. His head started spinning as he felt himself losing blood. As the man's body fell to the floor with a thud, a cruel laugh echoed through the cave.
