"(n.) The best time to do everything you had planned for today."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hello?" Changbin groaned, half asleep, feeling a little headache creeping through.

"Oi, wake up already." The guy on the line spoke. Changbin was too asleep to make out who it was. "I've been calling you from the past hour."

He groaned again as he did the impossible task of peeking at the caller ID.

"Chan?" He asked.

"Finally.." The line replied.

"What do you want at this hour?" He whined.

"This is the seventh time I'm telling you." Chan sighed and Changbin could imagine him rolling his eyes. "Get ready and meet me in an hour. I've sent you the location."

Changbin understood some of that sentence, but that made no coherent sense to him.

"What is an hour meet?" He asked.

"Oi!" Chan let out frustration. "Not hour meet! Meet me in an hour!"

"Don't fucking shout." Changbin complained.

"It's not that early, c'mon get up." Changbin let out a strangled noise before opening his eyes and looking at the location Chan sent him.

"Hey, this is not school."

"If it was... WHY WOULD I SEND YOU THE LOCATION!?"

Changbin cringed, pulling away the phone from his ear.

"Now please, for the love of God... wake up and get ready or we'll be late." Chan pleaded.

Changbin hummed, accepting defeat. Although all his body wanted to do was to go back to sleep in the warm blanket. After all he was brought up like a feather. Groaning for the nth times, he cursed the moment he met Chan. Before finally going to wash up.

If there was something Seo Changbin hated more than bugs, it was these celebration events his families organized. Whether it was some birthday gala, launch of a new product, business meeting, he hated them them with a passion. But it was a deal, his father understood the language of a deal.

He was allowed to stay on the campus on the deal that he would attend every single event they hosted, or if it was something important to the family name. He had to be there and be presentable, talk to everyone as if he was a part of this money minded family. Maybe he liked them when he was little, but that was a long time back.

He changed to his usual clothes, packing up all the things he carried. His laptop, headphones, music note books. His room was big, if he combined three of the dorm rooms together, then maybe it would come somewhere near the same size. His closet was just a whole different room attached, same with the bathroom.

It was minimalistic, unlike his dorm room which was decorated with posters, polaroid and album covers. Granted by Jisung who loved to paste things on wall, saying that they are memories.

"Can't you stay for a little longer?" His sister asked, leaning against the doorframe. "At least stay the night."

Changbin sighed, leaving his duffle bag for the time being. Gathering his thoughts before turning around to face his sister.

"I'll loose my mind if I stay longer." He replied, eyes glancing at the fancy suit he wore not too long ago. Something completely opposite of what he liked to wear.

Ever since he could remember, those clothes were never made for him, always getting in the way of what he wanted to do. He liked playing around, but the suit would get dirty. He liked going to gym, but too much muscles don't look good in a suit, he wanted to sing and rap but those suits made him look like nothing more than a waltz doll.

"At least tell mom and dad before leaving." She sighed.

"They won't notice until a day or two." Changbin replied.

Small spaces, confined cells, darkness, silence... these were the things people were afraid of, right? Changbin begged to disagree, those people don't know real scary. They should be afraid of big houses, where you can get lost and it will take hours before anyone can find you. They should be scared of endless grounds since you won't know where the wall end is.

People should be afraid of lights, glimmer, overlapping conversations and voices. They won't know what's around them because all they could see is light pointing at them, and there would be so much noise that you wouldn't even be able to decipher the voice of your family. Aren't all these something to be afraid of?

Finally Changbin zipped up his bad, getting all his necessities before turning to leave again. His sister stood in a comfortable jogger, eyes at him. He knew she wanted to say things, but maybe even she knew that sometimes, it's just too late.

He slung over the bag across his chest, getting his earphones and wallet from the side table. He gave a half smile to his sister, going past her heading down.

"Your new song was good." She spoke. He stopped.

His jaw clenched on his own, an unknown feeling crawling from the back of his throat. Warm, like he wanted to cry. He let out a breath, gulping.

Off course, it was obvious. Sometimes the bond is just too damaged to be dealt with. It can't be replaced, so the only way to live with it is to work with it, as it is. That's exactly what they were doing. Living with it.

Changbin had felt the need to run to his sister, hug her, cry. He should be allowed to do that. To let all his frustrations out, to let her know how everyone always makes him feel so useless. Babying him, keeping him away from things, deciding all his important decisions. Making him feel like absolute crap.

"Thank you." He replied shortly. Not looking back as he descended the steps.

"Young master, do you need a car?" His butler asked, an old man with slow words. "Should I call your chauffer?"

"No, thanks." Changbin shook his head.

He could still hear the faint music and chatters from the giant hall, where the event went on. What event? His father had successfully taken over another company, almost doubling the size of what they had previously. It was normal for the celebration to keep on going for the whole night.

The morning air was chilly, he rubbed a hand on his neck, skin still irritated from the collar of the shirt he wore. He ruffled his hair, hating how stiff they felt after all the styling. Just when he turned the corner, his eyes instantly zeroed upon the girl in front of him.

"Chae?" He called out. The familiar girl stopped in her tracks. Eyes fixed on Changbin. He let out a groan, confused as he marched towards her.

"What the hell are you doing here? At this hour?" He questioned, eyes unconsciously looking all over the girl for signs of discomfort.

"I was coming to get you." She said after a sigh.

Changbin let out half a chuckle, a smile decorating his face for the first time in days. He looked at her, really looked at her. Her hair were tied up in a ponytail, casual jacket and warm pants, her all season favourite white sneakers. Her half lidded eyes, still filled with a little sleep, little cracked lips, due to winters.

She looked beautiful. Changbin tried to, but he couldn't take his eyes off of her.

"It's risky." He complained although the smile didn't leave his face. "What if Minho or your roommates saw you?" He asked.

"Meh-" She stuffed her hands in the pockets. "Minho would usually nag, but he has gone nuts since yesterday."

Changbin chuckled. "What? Why?"

"I don't know man, he has completely lost it." She pointed at her head. "He kept on talking to himself during the dance practice, missed beats and was day dreaming! He yelled and cursed out the fucking air in the middle of a routine."

Changbin laughed.

"This is serious! I think he has lost a screw or two! We were all so confused!"

"C'mon I'll walk you to school." Changbin smiled, gently pushing her from the waist as they started walking.

"Walk me? You're not coming?" She asked on the way.

"Nah," He shook his head. "Chan has some work, he called this morning. I'll be with him for the day I guess."

"Hmm.." She nodded. "Is he okay? After he came back from his house?"

Changbin clenched his jaw for a second, letting out a deep breath.

"Hmm." He nodded, although it wasn't firm. "He's fine. I'll take care of him."

Chaeryoung smiled to herself. "What about you?"

"Me?" Changbin asked clueless.

"Yes." She nodded, stopping momentarily looking at him. "Are you okay?"

And Changbin couldn't answer. He chewed on his lips, eyes upon the sky trying to forget everything he felt. It was overwhelming, he didn't want to look like a cry baby, he wasn't. He can handle his issues, he can look after himself well. He could... but it was a little heavy.

"Come here." The girl before him opened her arms, tilted her head to side and offered a smile.

Changbin felt his eyes water, unable to keep up any facade. He stepped forward wrapping his arms around her waist. His heart clenched in his chest, hurting like someone was squeezing it. He found a warm place on her shoulder and even though she was smaller than him, he could feel her support.

"Shhh.. it's okay.." She whispered, one of her hand caressing his head, voice thick like she was holding back tears. Changbin couldn't hold the sob in his throat.

Changbin's insides twisted, feeling all the frustration bubbling. All the times he felt like a pebble, something at the side of a road. His loneliness, his helplessness all rising to the surface. His arms tighten around Chaeryoung. The girl who remained with him no matter how hard he was being.

They met at an age where they didn't understand the difference of class or financial status. Chaeryoung was much taller than him back in the day and they would spend hours and hours playing in the ground. Changbin was the happiest when he was with her.

She would stand tall against those big boys who pushed Changbin off the swing. Complaining and threatening that she would tell their mothers and the kids would scram off. She looked like a superhero, Changbin's superhero. She would always help him get tidy before he goes home and even fasten his shoelaces when little Changbin had no idea how to do that.

He never learnt how to tie shoelaces, he didn't need to. Someone always did it for him. She would run off to the water tank far away since the water there was cold in the scorching summer heat and Changbin wouldn't understand why. All he had to do was ask for it and he would get the water at whatever temperature he want, in a crystal glass with his favourite straw.

When they started growing up, sensing and realizing the society, Changbin got increasingly paranoid. Questioning everything they had, was Chaeryoung just using him like his mother had suggested she was? His heart wasn't ready to agree.

His other friends started distancing themselves, like they were never close to begin with. When he tried to fix things, make them come out to play their parents shut him off. Saying that a rich kid like him can afford to play and they don't want their children to become dependent on him. He didn't get it. What was so changed? He was still the same, the ground, the sky, the grass and air... they were all the same so what changed?

He tried to share his stories of how he visited different places, just for the sake of sharing it. He wanted his friends to know what excited him so much and how much fun he had. But they all looked at him like he was showing off and so he stopped. No matter how much he wanted to, he didn't utter a word.

Chaeryoung on the other hand, listened to it all. Even encouraged him to tell more. About the disneyland in Hongkong or the beaches of California. When he witnessed the tomato festival in Spain. She paid attention like he was describing some crazy adventure. She would make him bracelet in art class with his name on it. Changbin had still kept it safely in his drawer.

She would bake him a cake. A little hard, a little burnt and the icing would be too sweet but it would be the best thing Changbin had ever tasted. Way better than the tasteless crap his parents made him cut. Whenever it was too much for him to handle, when he ran away from home there was only one place he felt safe in.

Chaeryoung's mother would let Changbin lay down in her lap, singing him a lullaby as he went to sleep, tired after crying his heart out. When he would wake up, the food was ready on the table. Chaeryoung's father was the one who took him for running in the morning, no matter how much he whined that he doesn't want to leave in the cold weather.

He taught him how to shave, to fix a car, change tires, change oil, cooling the engine. Granted by the garage he ran, Changbin learned a lot. He learned how to shop for good vegetables at the local market while accompanying her mother for grocery runs. While his family would only notice him gone after a few days, Chaeryoung would call him if he forgets to text her after reaching back home.

It was December 8th, 4:17 P.M... when he fell in love with her.

They were still in middle school and he had to pick her up for the local winter carnival. Chaeryoung had very conveniently forgotten all about it and started getting dressed only when he called that he was on the way. That day, she had opened the door, wet hair wrapped in a towel, a panda sheet mask on her face, brush in her mouth while wearing the most unhinged pair of dragon onsee Changbin had ever seen.

She had apologized with toothpaste around her mouth, pulling him inside and asking him to wait for a few minutes while the brush was still in her mouth. Changbin felt all the air knocked out of him there. Like someone punched him in the gut, maybe a cupid's arrow.

But a coward like him? It would take a miracle. That miracle was also Chaeryoung. When they just entered the high school, and she had casually slipped in the fact that they should start dating already because it was getting on her nerves. They were at a cafe and Changbin was shocked.

No.. really shocked. Like physically fainting in the middle of the cafe - shocked.

"Come on now, you have to go help Chris with whatever." She said with a laugh trying to lighten the mood.

Changbin sniffed, gathering his emotions. Pulling away from the hug.

"Yeah.. Come, I'll walk you."

"No need."

"You sure?"

"Yep." She nodded. "Give me the bag, I'll take it back."

She took the duffle bag from him and hung it on her shoulder.

"I'll see you then." He smiled. She nodded, smiling back.

As Chae was about to go past him, he decided he didn't like this goodbye. Changbin leaned forward, tilting his head to place a quick peck on her cheek. An inevitable smile decorating his face when he felt the butterflies.

"Oi!" Chae complained with a full grin and cheeks tinted with pink.

"See you." He muttered before jogging off to the other direction. Feeling a lot lighter than before.

Changbin let out an annoyed sigh, the place wasn't near t his house and to walk all the way in the chill air was too much to ask from someone who woke up a few hours ago.

"Oi! Bin!" He heard the familiar voice call out to him.

Changbin looked up to see his friend standing there. His hair like usual falling on his eyes but he wore lighter colours, unlike him. He wore a light beige knitted sweater with some white embroidery around the neck and light wash jeans, appearing softer than ever. It kind of ticked Changbin off.

"What is going on?" Changbin asked, close enough.

"Nothing, just need your help." Chan replied with a short smile. Changbin looked past him and saw cardboard boxes lined up on each other. A couple of big bags and a few baskets with all sorts of things.

"For what?" He asked confused. Chan raised an eyebrow and looked up. Changbin followed his gaze to read the board of the building they were standing in front of. 'Sunset Orphanage'.

"Huh?" He was confused as ever. "Why?"

Chan stayed quite for a while, looking like he was having a debate. He stared at the entrance of the building before letting out a deep breath.

"I wanted to volunteer for a long time anyway." He said casually. Changbin looked at him skeptically.

"You're over piled with work though." He questioned.

Chan shook his head. "I already cleared the schedule yesterday."

"All the tasks of today?'

"Yep."

"The mid term exams are near though." Changbin was a little worried that Chan might get yelled at again. "The teachers don't have a problem with the president taking an off?"

"I already settled it... now, come on." He nudged at his shoulder.

"You should've brought Sung too, more hands if your were that interested." Changbin had said it lightly while picking up the box, which was surprisingly heavy.

"Not with his roommate." Chan mumbled but Changbin heard.

"Huh? Who?" He asked.

"Nothing, I meant, can he even pick on one of the boxes here? Please.." He rolled his eyes, going past Changbin towards the entrance.

He knocked on the door and in a short while it was opened by a kind looking lady. She was a middle aged, brown haired female. A little fine lines near her eyes and mouth, dark brown eyes, wearing simple shirt and long skirt. Her face broke out in a big smile.

"Oh, kids, please come in." She smiled. Chan thanked her and they went inside.

The insides were pretty usual. Brown wooden flooring, furniture, light yellow walls with little crayon drawings at some places making Changbin chuckle.

"We'll bring in the rest." Chan smiled and both of them kept on getting the things from outside.

Changbin peeped in some of the boxes while Chan talked to the lady. One of the boxes had books, story books, drawing books, basic language learning. Another one had more academic books for maths, science, english, geography and history. They weren't in a too bad condition, yes the pages were warped at places, and some of the spines were broken but other than that, they were pretty good.

Changbin looked at his friend with distant eyes, who talked with a grin to the lady, nodding ever so often with whatever she said. Changbin didn't recognize him at all. Who was this person? Chan was an understanding person, but not like this.

Chan understood logic, common sense, reasoning. Things that he can justify. He could justify politicians, serial killers and psychopaths by learning about their past and life events. He could understand and empathize with them because they had logic to their behaviour. He could understand and sometimes foresee people's behaviour and how he could make it better.

But in no version of him was he kind. Definitely not kind like this. Even though he had known him for just a little more than an year, they had been pretty close. Changbin knew this wasn't Chan but a part of him that got influenced by someone.

There were stuff toys in those bags, lots of board games, monopoly and a whole bunch of other stuff. A whole box contained just stationary, pens, pencils, notebooks, scales, pencil cases. Not all of them were brand new, some of them looked repurposed but not in a shape where they are bad to use. They looked fine, Changbin could use them.

"All things here?" Chan asked and Changbin nodded.

"Great, the kids are dying to meet you since the morning." The lady smiled, joining her hands. "Do you want to have something before meeting them?"

"Thank you Mrs. Kim." Chan replied. "but we'll meet them now."

She smiled big and nodded once before gesturing them to follow her. Changbin could feel a little hungry but he was too invested in the surroundings to care.

"They got up early and got ready," She narrated. "They're really excited to see you." Chan just smiled while nodding, Changbin observed him carefully.

The brown wooden doors opened to a big room, Changbin guessed this was the hall of maybe activity area. Instantly he zeroed up on the kids, of all age. Once they noticed them, their eyes doubled in size and a cheer erupted echoing throughout the room. They ran towards them with their little legs, swarming their feet with cheers and hugs.

Changbin could see the effort they put in their dresses, the combed back hair, pretty flower clips in hair and spotless shirts. It was impossible to not break out in a full on grin, chuckling at the cuteness.

"Now now! Children. Let them introduce themselves. Don't make it harder for them." Mrs. Kim taught.

"It's alright." Changbin assured her.

"You can leave them with us, we'll take care of it." Chan framed.

"Are you sure?" She asked concerned. "These kids can be a handful."

"It'll be alright." He smiled. "We'll call you if things get out of control." He suggested making all three of them laugh.

The lady bid them good bye asking the kids to behave and listen to the two. After the little pep talk, they were left alone with the kids. Changbin gave it a quick count, incase someone goes missing. There were 6 little ones, lesser than four years and 9 more who looked just a little older around nine or ten.

"Heyy.." Chan smiled and Changbin couldn't stop looking at him. Chan had never looked so warm. He wasn't someone warm and easy... what was going on?

"So my name is Chan." He smiled introducing himself.

"Chaaan..?" The kid's repeated.

"Yes."

"I'm Changbin." He heard himself say next.

"Shanvin?" He heard someone repeat making him chuckle.

"How about you call me Bin?" He asked.

"Yes!" They replied.

"You can call me Chan oppa or hyung." Chan taught. "And you can call him Binnie oppa or hyung."

Changbin hit him slightly but didn't faze.

"Hyung..?" One of the little boys say.

"Shouldn't it be uncle?" One of the older boys asked making both of them speechless.

"Huh! No.. we aren't that old." Chan excused.

"We're seventeen." Changbin added.

"Oh! You're only.." The little girl who started speaking suddenly started counting on her fingers and after a long pause continued. "Oh Seven years older than Jun oppa." She held out two fingers.

"Oh really?" Chan smiled. The girl smiled pointing at one of the older boys who stood at the back with a smile.

They talked with the kids for a while. Actually Changbin lost the track of time, they had so many questions and they kept on asking if they weren't satisfied with the answer.

Which class they were in? Why did they go to school? What was their favorite subject? What was their school uniform? Why didn't they wear it today? What food did they like? Followed by a series of things that the kids yelled were their favourite. They wanted to touch Changbin's hair and then compliment on how soft it was, then they would bite at his arms.

Then he was a human ride for them. Two of the kids hanged from his arms while he twirled around and it was a never ending game! They all wanted to go, and more than just once. Honestly, he couldn't even keep track of most of the things they said. Even though they introduced themselves properly he remembered them from their clothes and accessories. A part of him suggested bringing Chaeryoung here later, she would have fun with these kids.

"Didn't you bring us anything?" One of them asked.

"Yeah!!" Others agreed.

"Off course, we did." Chan grinned. "Do you guys like colouring?"

"Yeah!!" The cheer was so loud Changbin thought his ears were in danger.

"Alright, how about you stay here with your teacher for a second while we get your colours?" He asked, never loosing the smile.

"Okay!!" They yelled back.

"How about you get a place to sit then? Would that be good?" Chan asked.

"Yes Oppa!" "Yes hyung!!" They replied back scramming off to get their favourite seats and Changbin could only chuckle.

They walked out of the room, suddenly feeling too quite without the kids. Changbin looked at Chan and now from this angle he could clearly see the dark circles under his eyes that he tried covering up. A tinct of sadness spread through his chest. He looked down to now notice that Chan's finger tips were covered in bandages, probably from over working.

"Here, get that big paper roll." Chan pointed at the rolled sheet stacked near the end. Changbin's brow furrowed.

"What's this?" He asked while getting it, trying to peek inside from the top.

"It's a winter landscape drawing. Snowman, reindeers and elves. Maybe they added those candy canes, ginger bread man too.." He replied casually while getting the box with the colour supply.

"For them to colour?" He asked and Chan nodded casually. "Where did you get it from?"

"Oh, Hyunjin and his art club members made it."

Changbin's eyes widened. "Hwang Hyunjin?"

"uh.. yeah?"

"The one in the dance club? The one who is best friends with your arch nemesis?"

"Oh come on, don't act like Jisung." Chan complained. "It's something they wanted to donate. What's the big deal?"

Changbin didn't expect Chan to be that defensive about it so he just nodded and kept quite. Chan was behaving odd anyway.

They walked back in silence which was soon blown away as soon as they entered the room again. Changbin forgot the conversation from before and started unrolling the big landscape. It was really pretty, drawn with simple shapes that were easy to fill and cute eyes, smiley and showing their teeth.

Changbin could practically see their eyes glimmer at the sight of the huge drawing paper. They cheered, getting out of their seats and gathering around the paper, calling dibs on the area they liked. Telling each other that they will cover the snow or that hat or the gift at the bottom. Changbin's heart felt brimming with pure delight.

"Hyung! But it's not snowing outside!" One of them complained as Chan was distributing the colours.

"Hmm... you're right." Chan nodded, acting like it was a big problem. "Then how about.." He said before dashing towards the box he carried and pulling out a giant roll of cotton. "we make snow!"

"Yeah!!!" They cheered. "We'll make snow!!"

The kids cheered, swarming around Chan, hugging his legs and at that moment Changbin realized something that broke his heart. Was this how Chan wanted to be treated by his father? With smiles, surprises and warmth? Was this what he craved the most?

He shook his head, forcing his eyes away as they got invested with the kids. The next few hours were spent with them helping out the kids to pick colours and them asking questions like why was the elf eating the candy cane in the drawing. He had a hard time giving satisfying answers. One of them was why the snow fall from up and not down? He had to get creative with that one.

By the end of a couple of hours, Changbin had glue on some parts of his jacket, a little cotton in his hair and colours on his jeans. Some kids were creative enough to mix colours with their hands and then put an impression of it on his denim. He didn't mind at all.

Changbin noticed Chan looking at a specific corner, he followed the gaze to see another girl sitting at the desk quietly painting with the things Chan had given her. Before Changbin could say anything, Chan got up and sat down on the floor near the girl to talk to her.

He still couldn't believe his eyes. This wasn't the Chan he was used to seeing, this soft side was something that Changbin never thought Chan was capable of. Though she had stayed quite, Changbin could see the girl was quite the yapper, she kept on talking while Chan listened to her with all his focus. His eyes on her little hands doing all kinds of gesture while he smile dumbly.

Changbin got up after a while to check on his friend and he could only hear a part of their conversation.

"Minchae.. I'll get you those books, you don't have to worry now that I'm here." Chan said as he caressed the top of her head.

Changbin was left dumbstruck, frozen in his tracks until another voice interrupted his thoughts.

"Okay! Kids! Let's go have some lunch!" Mrs. Kim announced.

Some of the kids got up in an instant, leaving their brushes and crayons as they are and running to their teacher. While some insisted on continuing their masterpiece. Changbin saw Chan encouraging Minchae to leave the crayon and go for food and the little girl obliged instantly with a heart melting smile.

"Come on, we can complete it after getting some food." Changbin smiled, tearing his eyes away to encourage everyone else.

"No! I don't want to eat." The little girl working at the big landscape shook her head violently.

"eh.. how about you?" He asked the boy.

"Nah! I have to colour this dog or he will run away." He said pointing at the reindeer. They kept on going back and forth with the conversation and Changbin couldn't believe he was loosing this debate.

"You know," Chan started. "I heard that you can only draw good with full stomach. If you have an empty stomach, the colours will turn black!"

"What?" The girl stopped, looking up with big eyes.

"Really Chan hyung?" The boy asked which he replied with nodding animatedly.

"I don't want it black!" The girl complained. "It's orange!"

"Then how about you go have food first?" Chan smiled. "How does that sound? While me and Binnie hyung would stay here so that your... dog doesn't run away."

"Will you do that?" The boy asked, skeptic.

"Off course." Chan smiled. "We'll keep an eye."

"Okay!!" The girl chirped getting up from her place, followed by the boy.

"Wash your hands before you touch the food!" Mrs. Kim stated strictly as the last of the kids ran out.

The three of them could see the disaster of the room now, but it only made them chuckle.

"Please, Chris, Changbin.. join us for lunch." She asked politely and it was only then that Changbin realized how starved he was.

They nodded walking through the hallway when Mrs. Kim spoke again.

"Thank you for coming." She smiled. "They are really happy." Chan and Changbin both shook their head.

"It's nothing." Changbin answered.

"We'll clean the rooms before we go, the mess back there is too much for just you and the staff." Chan added.

"Oh, no no.. Please. We can see to it." She shook her head as they washed their hands.

"Please, Mrs. Kim. It's no big deal." Changbin smiled.

"Oh, I forgot the school, you're from?" She asked once they had settled down with their food. A basic meal, but it tasted better than anything since Changbin was practically starving.

Chan didn't answer her, confusing Changbin. He looked confused, like figuring out something.

"Siamwit." Changbin answered just as Chan had opened his mouth.  (Bare with me, I'm obsessed with High School Frenemies right now)

Her eyes widened and so did Chan's, which was hella weird.

"Oh!" She exclaimed, a happy grin spreading on her face. "You know, we used to have a kid here, he's in Siamwit too right now."

Changbin smiled, nodding. Dismissing the thought. It could be anyone, but once he looked at Chan's face he doubted there was something else. There was something going on after all.

"He's about your age." She continued. "You guy might even know each other."

"Oh really?" Changbin tested the water, looking at Chan as he replied.

"Yes! He's a really good boy, always helping out in here." She smiled and Chan looked like he had seen a ghost. "His name is Lee Minho, do you know him?"

Changbin's chopsticks dropped on the plate at that name. Eyes staring at Chan who visibly avoided him.

"Dear, are you okay?" Mrs. Kim asked him. Changbin could barely hold his expressions. A hurricane of confusion and questions rising in him.

"Yeah.." He replied with tight lips. "Yeah, I'm okay."

"That's good. Eat more okay? It's actually a special feast."

"Ah.. really?" Changbin tried his best to be normal.

"Yes!" She cheered. "We wanted to thank you two for coming here and actually co incidentaly it's his birthday today. The boy Lee Minho."

Changbin couldn't believe his ears. He really wanted to laugh, because he was too taken aback to make any more response.
