The morning alarm greeted you and you got up and stretched. Even though, you didn't have anything to do this morning, you still promptly got up at 7 'o clock. For the third day of the party, it was just a day of free time and many people left Baltigo for other islands to go shopping and whatnot. Since you not too familiar with the places, Koala invited you to go shopping at a nearby island and you accepted the invitation. She had also tried to invite Sabo, but he declined saying that he already had plans for the morning.

While you were picking out clothes, Koala told you about her story of how she joined the Revolutionary. Knowing about the hardships of slaves, you teared up when she mentioned being one for the Celestial Dragons.

"It's okay, (Name). That was in the past and without that, I would have never met people like Tiger-san and joined the Revolutionary Army." She picked a purple shirt. "Say~ what you do think of Sabo?"

"W-what?"

"Come on! Don't be shy! You ended too soon last time! I noticed that you looked at him the first day and whenever he held you hand, you would always blush. So cute!" she squealed, "I ship you two!"

"E-eh?" Your face heated up and you quickly picked a (favorite color) shirt. "U-uh... what do you think of this one?"

Koala smirked, "Don't think that you can switch the topic on me! But, if you don't want to talk about it, that's fine. I won't pry."

"You kind of already did..."

Around the afternoon, after having lunch, Koala and you went back to the base and had a tea party in Koala's room with the sweets you had bought while shopping. Somehow Koala had headed back to the subject of Sabo. Again.

"So how did Sabo join the Revolutionary Army?" you asked, interrupting Koala. She seriously needs to stop being so persistent with the topic of you liking Sabo.

"What I heard was that he had got into an explosion had lost his memories because of that." You nodded for her to go on.

"He was quiet at first, but he learned about everything quickly: fighting, the operations... I joined at little after he did. By that time, he had been fully accustomed to being in the army."

"That's why you're his subordinate. You're older than him but joined later."

"Yup! And since we were both the youngest, we stuck together."

Koala's POV

*Flashback*

"Oi, Dragon-san! There's this little girl that wants to join. She even took the time to find us."

"Hmm?" The tall man scanned the girl. "Take her to the same division as Sabo and put her under Hack. I think she can learn a lot from there."

"I wonder who Sabo is." Koala looked up to see a shorter boy with curly blonde hair and missing tooth. A bandage wrapped around his head covering his left eye. Despite the injury, the boy grinned and extended his hand.

"I'm Sabo! It's nice that you're around my age."

"Same here!"

Koala and Sabo were soon set as partners for short mission. To Koala, Sabo was a smart, little brother who was a rule-sticker.

"Sabo! Let's go explore the weaponry," Koala had suggested one time.

" But, Koala... it's dangerous there, Dragon-san said that we're not allowed," Sabo hesitated.

*A few moments later*

BOOM! Smoke spewed out of the weaponry, engulfing the hallway. The two kids stumbled out, coughing and covered in the remnants of gunpowder.

"I only said explore the weaponry! But then you just had to go touch the explosive."

Sabo rubbed his nose. "Heh, heh... sorry."

"Well, sorry is not going to get us out of trouble!"

"You're right, Koala. That was unacceptable," a stern voice said.

Both of the kids looked up to see Hack, a fishman and Koala's mentor, with an angry face looking down on them.

"Oh boy..."

*After two days later*

Sabo's stomach growled. Koala sweat-dropped at the sound. "It's on ten in the morning and you're already hungry?"

"I'm sorry if I'm a growing boy!"

"I think that you're just an endless pit for food. You just had breakfast, too!"

"The breakfast was only a cup of milk and a roll of bread!"

"That's enough!"

"Koala, Sabo, if you have enough time for chit-chat, then you must done with cleaning the weapons!" Hack yelled from another room. The fishman had punished the kids with only two meals a day for a week and each day, their tasks were doubled.

Koala sighed, scrubbing away at a gun. "Sabo's not going to last this week at all," she muttered.

*5 days after the incident*

"Nee~ Sabo."

"Huh?"

In Koala's hand was a basket of cookies. "I got some cookies last week and I was wondering if you'd like some."

Sabo's eyes lit up. "Really? Thanks!" He reached in and took a chocolate chip.

*Flashback end*

Your POV

"Sabo must had suffered with such little food. But you're so nice to share with him!"

"Ha! In the end, he ate 75% of my cookies! We both suffered without food. I also suffered even more because Hack wouldn't train me all week! I wanted to learn more techniques for Fishman Karate."

"75% of the cookies?" you chuckled to yourself. "Just like when he ate the majority of the fish before."

"Are you listening?!"

"Uh... sorry," you grinned sheepishly, "How about later on? What was he like then?"

"Later on..." Koala tapped her cheek, "He was more polite. He would be more gentleman like, at least to other people. But then he's also more stubborn. Whenever he messes up during a mission and the mission fails, he would blame it on himself. Another time he was stubborn, one time I broke my arm because I landed weird and he blamed himself for not thinking about catching me! I can't stand that! I mean, it was my decision to jump down!"

"But now he's more forgiving to himself, right?"

Koala stuffed her mouth with strawberry cake, "I guess so, maybe..."

Suddenly, Koala's room's door opens and Sabo entered in. "Having a tea party, ladies?" Sabo asked, "'Cause I brought a box of doughnuts!"

"Awesome!" Koala whooped.

You blushed and quickly turned away when you saw him. Koala caught your blush and smirked, "I think that we ran out of tea, so I'm going to the cafeteria to see if they'll give me some. See ya!

Koala went on of the room leaving you with Sabo. Alone.

Sabo's POV

Koala nudged Sabo as she went out and winked. "Darn you, Koala," he sighed, "Now she's has to make everything so weird..."

The two of them stood for good long minute in awkward silence, until (Name) piped up.

"H-hey Sabo-san, why don't you take a seat?"

"O-of course, (Name)-san, I'd be glad to." He took a seat next to you. "Doughnut?"

"Sure." You took a (favorite flavor) doughnut and bit into it. "Hmm... these are my favorite!"

The two Revolutionaries continued to sit in awkward silence. "This is so weird... what should I do though?"

Sabo looked at (Name) and she looked back and bursted out laughing, which loosened the tension. "Oh my gosh, that was weird..."

"'I'd be glad to'," (Name) quoted while giggling, "Man, Sabo, you sounded so formal!"

Sabo chuckled while scratching his head. "Heh, heh, really? Anyways, why don't we go find Koala? Who knows what she's planning since she left us."

(Name) agreed and the two started heading for the cafeteria.

Your POV

"I didn't know Sabo could be that formal," you giggled to yourself, "His response, though, it's so cute."

While walking, Sabo asked how you liked your new room. You gratefully thanked him and said that you loved it. "Do you want to see it?"

"Sure, why not?"

When the two of you got to your room, the first thing that Sabo saw was the fabric chain that was hung all around your room. Ever since you had joined the Revolutionary Army, you still diligently had added a piece every day. Of course, somedays just can't be helped because of the hectic jobs Dragons assigns.

"This is interesting," Sabo said. He looked over at one of the sketches on a green piece. "Wow, I didn't know you can draw so well, (Name)!"

"It's nothing," you said shyly.

"When did you start this?"

"I started when I was eight with my friend nine years ago."*

"Oh, that friend... so you add a piece every day?"

"Yup."

"Can I see the start of the chain?"

You hesitated. "S-sure." You were a bit doubtful because the first few was made by Sabo himself. "But maybe it could trigger his memory," you thought hopefully.

However, a knock at the door interrupts both of you. You went and answered it.

"I got tea but you two were gone when I got back," Koala held up a box of peppermint tea.

Sabo and you sweat-dropped at the same time. "She really was just getting tea..."

"Well, you took too long so (Name) decided to show me her room," Sabo quickly explained.

"It's nice, right? The chains. It's such a cute idea," Koala sighed, " I bet the boy who started it with (Name) is a really sweet person!"

"He's right here," you thought. "He is really nice," you agreed then smiled, "Why don't you two add a section to the chain today?" You went to the corner of your room and pulled out your box of colorful fabrics and permanent markers. "Only one, though."

Koala eagerly reaches in and pulls out a light pink piece of fabric with lavender hearts and a dark purple marker. Sabo went straight for a blue piece and black marker, while you took a (color) fabric and (color) marker and got to work.

On the sheet of fabric, you wrote down today being the third day of break and having tea with Koala and Sabo, then finished off with a sketch of a tea cup with hot steam still rising from it. You peered over to see Sabo attempt to draw doughnuts and write something else.

You giggled to yourself as you watch him dot the circles with sprinkles.

"I know... my drawing skills are horrible..." Sabo scratched his head.

"No, I actually think the drawing is cute!"

Sabo's POV

"My drawing is cute?"

Knock, knock. (Name) went to answer the door again. This time it opened up to a young Revolutionary who (Name) has never seen. "Yes."

"Is Sabo-san here? Dragon-sama is looking for him."

Sabo stood up. "He's looking for me? Tell him I be there soon."

"He asks for you to go now."

Reluctantly, Sabo got up and walked towards the door. "Sorry about leaving. Apparently, whatever Dragon-san needs me for is pretty urgent."

"It's okay we can do this again next time." (Name) took out something from her pocket and hesitantly gave it to Sabo, "This is my den den mushi number. Just in case, you know..."

Sabo grinned and quickly scribbled his down. As he left, he waved the paper. "Keep in contact?"

Your POV

"I can't believe I've finally did it!" You nodded in agreement, ensuring the man that you will call when you have time.

*(A/N in case you didn't notice you're 17 and so is Sabo. Before you joined, you were 15. Yes, I actually took in account of when everything is happening.)
