Chapter 32- Part One
Third Person P.O.V.
It was seven sharp as they met outside the witch house. Max perched in a tree. Katherine leaned against the base. Edward stood by the house. And Klaus leaned against the door of the home.
"When will Silas be here?" Edward asked.
"I'm here." A voice came from the distance. Suddenly a gust of wind came and Silas stood between them all. "How wonderful. You all came. Now, change of plans."
Katherine shifted uncomfortably as she looked at Klaus. She still wasn't comfortable to be near him.
"What kind?" Max asked. She was the only one who would speak. Everyone else was too frightened of him. Or in Klaus' case, didn't really care.
"Max, you will be watching Elena at the Ball. Edward, you will be showing up with your family and take her away to talk. Klaus, you'll meet them and you will both go to the old tunnels. Katherine, I want you to be with Klaus to help get Elena under control and threaten anyone you want to get her to obey. Max, after Edward gets Elena, you will meet me at the tunnels. Everyone clear?" Everyone nodded. Edward might not be able to see into these people minds, but he could tell everyone was thinking the same thing.
What the hell did I just get myself into?
It was barely eight when Elena woke. Damon was still sound asleep next to her. She could tell something big was going down today- they both could. Everything was too quiet. Stefan was asleep down the hall. Caroline spent the night on the couch but had gone home earlier in the morning. Elena couldn't hear her breathing on the couch.
Elena stood and made her way into the bathroom. She wasn't ready to face the world yet. The bad feeling had grown just as she woke up. She felt like someone was watching her but there were no windows in the bathroom and the door was shut and locked.
She stared at herself in the mirror. She looked older. She looked stronger. She didn't look like the same girl that was held hostage, killed her best friend in childhood, and was nearly killed a few times.
Elena looked stronger. Her attitude and air of confidence meant more. She carried herself with pride and respect. No longer was it insecurities.
Suddenly something inside her was wrong. Something bad. On instinct, she leaned forward to the sink and out of the blue all the blood she had consumed for the last few days made reappearance.
Something was horribly wrong. The urge to throw up again was there but she pushed it down to the point where she did release all the blood.
Elena slid to the ground. Her vision was going blurry. Black dots clouded her vision.
And something else happened.
She felt someone was watching her again.
Damon woke with a start. Elena was in the bathroom but he smelled blood. Within seconds he was breaking the door and looked down. Blood was smeared around her mouth and hands. Blood covered the inside of the sink.
Damon moved quickly as he knelt by her side and listened for a second. Her breathing was fine but the amount of blood loss was concerning. He picked her up carefully and placed her on the bed. Grabbing a warm facecloth, he wiped the blood off her mouth and hands. He bit his wrist and placed it gently over her mouth. On instinct her vampire side drank the blood willingly.
Elena's eyes opened partially and she looked up at Damon. She had seen something, but Damon didn't know what.
"Damon..." Her words were cut off as her head lolled to the side and Damon could tell all she needed was some rest.
Edward's P.O.V
I wasn't okay with this. I can understand if she chooses me. But I can't make her love me. But I still love her.
Bella isn't the same girl I left. She was shy. But now she's outgoing. She isn't the same. But I love her just how she is.
And I'm going to prove it to her.
I'm going to rescue her from Silas.
