*One night, after the events of infinity war.*
May had found herself sitting at a bar, she wanted to get away from everything, from all the pain. All she could think about was, why did the snap take Peter and not her? He was all she had left and she blamed herself every day.
This had become a normal thing for May, going to a bar, getting drunk, coming home and passing out to wake up with a nasty hangover. But it was worth it because for a little bit, just a little bit she got away from the pain. Not that the alcohol was making her happy, it was like a medicine, numbing the pain.
"What would you like to drink miss?" a deep voice said pulling May out of her trance. "a shot, of the hardest liquor you have." The bartender nodded and poured her shot, setting it down on the counter in front of her. She picked up the shot glass and quickly downed it." another." she said setting it back down on the counter. It was shot after shot for a little under two hours.
After more shots then she could count she decided to go home, she swayed as she walked home seeing as though she was drunk, beyond drunk actually. She got to the apartment and opened the door walking over to the couch, she sat down and sighed seeing a picture of her and Peter a year back at some school fundraiser.
She laid down on the couch, she didn't feel like moving or doing anything, which felt normal. She laid there, a million different thoughts going through her head, but she couldn't seem to focus on one. She closed her eyes and imagined Peter being there with her, watching a movie on the couch. She lost consciousness and never woke up...
No one had seen or heard from May in a couple of days, the landlord was alerted there had been no activity in the apartment. He decided to go check on it. He knocked on the door waiting for a response, he didn't get one. He used his spare key to get into the apartment, he saw a passed out May and tried calling out for her, he got no answer. he rushed over to her checking her pulse, she didn't have one. He called 911, they came and took her away. With no emergency contact, he moved onto Peters emergency contact, Tony Stark.
An autopsy showed May had drunk twenty-four shots in less than two hours, she died of alcohol poisoning. Tony felt guilty about the whole situation, he knew Peter would've wanted a memorial, he had decided to pay for everything.
A few months later, it was time for the memorial. Mj, Ned, and Tony all came, of course, there were a few close friends of May's. After, Tony took everyone out to dinner. They talked about May, Peter, school, Tony of course. When dinner was over Tony dropped them off and went home himself. It was late, around twelve pm when he decided to go down to the lab and work on some inventions. That night, like many, Tony stayed up trying to figure out how to fix everything.
