Laura's Pov
*2 months later*
Well. We're half way through tour and are currently on the plane back to North Carolina. I'm a little worried about getting back there and seeing how mad my dad is. But honestly. I'm 23 and I can do what I want.
The boys are sleeping right now and I'm just playing on my phone. Their show last night was in London so this flight was pretty long. Once we landed I got the boys up and we got our luggage. We met up with Nash and went to my mom's house.
Nash said, "Mom and Johnnie are at work and Hayes is with Cam picking Sky up from daycare." "What time are mom and Johnnie gonna be home?"
"Johnnie usually gets home around 6 and mom should be home soon after that." I nodded and took the guys upstairs.
Ash, Luke and Mikey are in the guestroom and me and Cal are in my room. We put our stuff down and Cal pulled me on the bed.
He said, "Everything okay baby?" "Yeah. I'm fine. Just worried about seeing my mom. I know she said she's not mad that I left to be with you. But I could tell that she was hurt."
"Babe. She gets it. I mean. Of course she was upset. She loves spending time with you. But she understands." I nodded.
He kissed me and said, "Stop stressing baby girl." "I'm trying."
"You ready to go downstairs?" "Yeah. I'm excited to see Hayes and Sky."
We went downstairs and I was surprised to see Will downstairs with Jeanne and Eloise. I ran over and jumped in Will's arms.
"Hey big sister." "Aw baby brother. I missed you so much."
"I missed you too." "And you brought my precious niece. And my gorgeous sister-in-law."
Jeanne said, "Long time no see Laura." I hugged her and she handed Eloise to me.
"She's so cute. I can't believe she's already almost a month old." Soon Hayes came in the door and took Eloise from me.
"Hi big sister." "Hey bubs."
Everyone's getting along and it makes me really happy. Sometimes holidays can be rough. Mom and Johnnie came in the door around 630 and mom immediately ran over and hugged me.
She said, "My baby girl. I've missed you." "I missed you too mama."
Johnnie hugged me and said, "Hey princess." "Hey Johnnie."
Mom hugged Cal and the guys and I could tell how happy she was to have all of us here. Similar to the magcon guys, the 5SOS guys have become like my mom's sons. I ended up telling mom about the engagement a few days after I left North Carolina while we were on FaceTime. So her and Nash are the only ones that know. She was so excited.
Cal nudged me and said, "When can we tell everyone? I mean your mom and Nash know. I feel like your brothers should know too." "Okay babe. We can tell them."
Ash said, "The lovebirds are telling secrets. Tell the group." "Well. Um. Me and Cal are engaged!"
Hayes said, "What? No way!" "Yeah. We're engaged."
Nash said, "Don't let him fool you. He knew. He overheard me and you on FaceTime while you were on tour." Will said, "Well I didn't know about it. Congratulations big sister."
"Thanks Will." Sky said, "Since you and Calum are engaged does that mean you have a baby in your tummy?"
"No Sky. I don't have a baby in my tummy. You don't have to have a baby in your tummy to get engaged." "So what does engaged mean then?"
"Calum asked me to marry him." "So after you're married, then will you have a baby in your tummy?"
"Maybe someday sweet pea." Nash said, "Just because Will and Jeanne got engaged because there was a baby in her tummy doesn't mean that's why everyone gets engaged."
"Nash!" "What?"
"Not cool bro. Apologize to Will and Jeanne." "Okay. Okay. I'm sorry. That was insensitive."
They both nodded. Johnnie said, "Congratulations you guys. I'm super happy for y'all."
"Thanks Johnnie." Ash said, "So now we just need a wedding and all the little 5SOS babies."
"Slow down buddy boy. We're not rushing anything." "You're no fun."
"Ashton. We don't not need to immediately have children. Give us some time." Will said, "She's right dude. I mean. Jeanne and Eloise are truly my blessings but you shouldn't rush Laura into anything, especially not having kids. She needs to go at her own pace."
"What do you mean by that?" "Nothing bad big sister. Just that you like to take things at your own pace."
Cal said, "He's right babe. Don't argue with him." "I wasn't gonna argue with him."
"Sure you weren't." Mom said, "Alright. All of you stop messing with her. Laura and Calum can have babies whenever they want. Y'all don't decide when they have their kids."
Everyone nodded. We hung out for a little bit and then mom made dinner for everyone. After dinner, Jeanne and Will went home and so did Cam. We stayed downstairs for a little while longer and soon we all went to bed.
I got changed into one of Cal's shirts and some leggings and laid in bed. He laid next to me and kissed me. He pulled me into him and started kissing down my neck.
"Calum Thomas. Do not tell me you are trying to get me to have sex with you in my old room at my mother's house." "Maybe I am."
"Fuck it. Go lock the door. But we really need to be quiet this time. Hayes is literally on the other side of this wall and my mom and Johnnie are across the hall." "I won't make a sound baby girl."
He got up and locked the door and turned off the lights. He came back over to me and started to kiss me. And we all know where that led.
Once we were done he pulled me in his arms and said, "I love you baby girl." "I love you too baby."
We got dressed again and soon we fell asleep. I woke up the next morning to someone banging on the door.
Cal said, "I got it baby." He got out of bed and opened the door, only to reveal Nash. Cal said, "Yes Nash? How can we help you?"
Nash said, "We have to get ready to go over to dad's." I said, "Please tell me you're joking. I have to see him twice in one week."
"Laura. We're doing this for Nila. Cmon." "Fine. But I don't wanna stay there forever. And the guys are coming."
"Fine with me. That makes it more fun." "Great. Now leave us alone so we can get ready. And go let the boys know."
He rolled his eyes and went down the hall. Cal closed the door and said, "Are you gonna be able to handle this?"
"I'm doing it for Nila. Not for Chad." He sat on the bed and said, "Can I ask you a serious question?"
"Sure babe." "Do you want your dad at our wedding?"
"Well. Um. I don't know. I mean. I want Nila to be there. So I guess my dad kind of has to be there." "And who's gonna walk you down the aisle?"
"I. Um. I was thinking Johnnie would. He's been more of a dad to me than Chad ever has been." "Okay. We'll talk more about this when it gets closer, okay baby?"
I nodded. We got ready for the day and went downstairs. All the boys were down there, so we left and went to Chad's.
Once we got to Chad's, Cal grabbed my hand and we went inside. We stayed there for a few hours, and it wasn't terrible. Once we got back to my mom's I took Cal up to my room and we laid on my bed. I just needed a break from all of the boys.
Cal said, "How do you feel after that?" "I still don't like Chad."
"But you made Nila so happy baby girl." "I know. She's the only reason I went over there. I just don't think of Chad as my father anymore. He lost that right years ago. He will never be my father. In my eyes, he's just the sperm donor. No father treats his daughter the way Chad used to treat me."
He pulled me in his arms and said, "I know Chad treated you horribly when you were younger. But he seems like he's changed." "I don't care Calum. I don't believe it. He's only coming to my wedding so Nila will be there and that's that. We used to have a great bond when I was a little girl, but we don't have that bond anymore and that's his fault."
"Baby." "Calum. Please don't force me to have him walk me down the aisle."
"I'm not going to. I would never do that to you. But you know that this little break is supposed to give us time to plan the wedding." "I know baby. And honestly, I'm kind of upset there isn't room for my brothers to be your groomsmen."
"If you can think of three more girls to be in your wedding party, they can be." "See. That's the problem. I don't have many girl friends."
"Well. We can have one of your brothers in it since you want Sky in the wedding." "But how do I pick which brother? What if we made Sky the flower girl instead of being a bridesmaid."
"That works baby girl.""Is our wedding gonna be perfect Cal?"
"Yes baby. It's gonna be amazing. It's going to be the wedding of your dreams." "Promise?"
"I promise baby girl. I'm gonna do everything in my power to make this wedding the most amazing wedding ever." "I don't know what I'd do without you."
"Well. Probably be dating someone else." "Yeah. No thank you."
He kissed me and said, "Everything's gonna be wonderful. We're gonna live a long, happy life together and have a big, happy family."
