It was a lovely night.
The doctor finally had finished his daily work, and was finally returning home after so many days.
He whistles his favorite song as he walks through the empty streets, carrying his bag on one hand and an umbrella on the other.
He couldn't wait to get home and lay on his bed to finally get the rest that he deserved.
Then, he hears a crunch.
He quickly looks behind him, and when he sees nothing, he shrugs to himself and continued to walk home. He continues to whistle, until he hears a distant scoff.
Lub-dub. Lub-dub. Lub-dub.
Slowly, he looks around his surroundings, gulping as he does so.
"Hello?" He calls out, "Whose there?"
Silence.
He reluctantly turns back, about to walk away until he hears another crunch.
"Look, can you stop following me? You're creeping me out." He says, but all he hears is the sound of trees swaying side by side.
"Leave me alone, and go home." And when he was about to turn around, he hears a sadistic laugh.
"Home?" A voice whispers.
The doctor clutches his things tighter, "Yes. Home. Go home. Leave me alone."
The voice laughs once again, sarcastically. "Oh. But didn't you kill her?"
The doctor frowns. "What- what do you mean? I don't know what you're talking about."
But deep inside, he knew who the voice was talking about. His boss had told him that the girl had a lover, and that lover was to be avoided at all times.
The person that was following him right now— is definitely who his boss was talking about.
He gulps as he hears the voice laugh once more. "Forgive me, doctor."
That was the last thing the doctor heard before he felt something hit him in the back of his head, making him unconscious.
