And of course out of all places he could be in all of Beijing, he has to be here.

Zhilan kept her face holding little expression as she stepped into the old bar where the Phoenixes of Beijing hung out. She could hear the elders playing mahjong at the back, the noise of the tiles hitting each other ringing through the place.

Zhilan loved being a part of the gang. She felt strong and powerful, something she had never felt before joining. She loved that everyone she cared about was a part of it too, Jiayi being the best older sister she could ever ask for. She even loved the fact that she had fallen in love with one of the most handsome members of the Beijing Phoenixes, the man that had captured her heart and made her feel like she was on cloud nine with a simple touch.

That was until she found out that he was sleeping with one of their client's strippers. Zhilan didn't even hesitate to dump him and made sure all the other girls knew how terrible of a man he was.

But unfortunately, her ex-boyfriend had a pretty good status with the Phoenixes and their leader, Kun, had gave him a lecture and that was the end of it. Zhilan wanted to beat him up, but she knew that she would be breaking one of their rules. Zhilan honestly didn't really care about the stupid rules of the gang, but she did care about wasting her time with a lecture from Kun

That was why Zhilan walked straight past the male laughing with his friends at the front of the bar, making her way straight to where Jiayi was with her younger brother and boyfriend, the two men playing darts with one another.

Oh look, they both suck, Zhilan thought as she stared at the board, not a single dark at the centre circle. She took out her pocket knife, a smirk on her face as she decided to throw it, the weapon lodging itself in the centre.

It made the two men turn though, neither too impressed while Jiayi was giggling on the side.

"A warning would be nice." Renjun said, narrowing his eyes at her. "Or are you just mad because Xiaojun is here."

"Why you little-" Zhilan raised her first to punch the annoying brat but felt someone stop her. That someone was Jiayi.

"Xiao di, apologize." Jiayi said, her motherly tone coming out.

"This girl literally almost took out my ear!" Renjun argued. "She doesn't get my sympathy."

"I swear Huang Renjun I will-"

"Just do it." Winwin said, giving Renjun a nudge. Renjun sighed, unable to go against his gege's words.

"Fine. I'm sorry." Renjun said but his tone made it clear that he wasn't.

"Good. He apologized." Jiayi said, letting go of Zhilan. Zhilan kept her eyes on Renjun though, who had his arms crossed. He was clearly still pissed at the little prank Zhilan had played.
