"Could you stop being so childish?" Zhilan demanded, getting frustrated. "I'm finally here and willing to listen, just talk."

"No, you-"

"Renjun!"

Renjun had a defeated look on his face as he stared down at his fingers laced in his lap. "I just... don't really have anyone."

"What do you mean? We're all here for you." Zhilan said, confused.

"Yeah but you're all pretty close to each other. Haechan's been spending most of his time with Mark and Ayeon so we barely even talk anymore. Jeno and Jaemin have always been close so it's really hard to get in between that. Soojung got lucky since she's dating Jeno and in all of Jaemin's classes. You know how Chenji are, they're literally inseparable. Then there's me."

Zhilan frowned, turning towards Renjun. "Okay, but what about me? You can always talk to me."

"But you always like being alone. Plus, I don't want to bother you, you seem like you have enough problems with your life." Renjun confessed.

"I do but that doesn't mean I can't listen to yours." Zhilan told him.

"I don't know, Jiayi told me not to piss you off." Renjun said, glancing at his phone lying on the bed.

That's when Zhilan realized why Renjun had been off so lately.

Zhilan knew that the Huang siblings were close, very close. Even though they lived far away from each other, they called each other daily and always talked for the longest time. Zhilan had to wait a good hour to go shopping with Jiayi once because apparently, Renjun had a dilemma and she refused to get off the phone until they had solved it.

"Jiayi being busy, it's driving you mad, isn't it?" Zhilan asked, careful to use a soft tone.

Renjun hesitated before answering. "It is."

"Is it more than just the fact that she's not talking to you?"

Renjun shrugged his shoulders. "I mean that plays a part. You didn't hear her, but she's stressed, Zhilan. Really really stressed. And this is my sister, Huang Jiayi we're talking about. She's never stressed."

Zhilan couldn't agree more with Renjun. Jiayi was a very smart woman, always level headed and knowing what to do. If she was stressed than that meant that the world was in trouble.

I mean with our line of work, not something out of the ordinary.

Zhilan slid over, giving Renjun a small smile. "Your sister is also one of the strongest people I know. No matter what it is, I'm sure she'll get through it."

"Maybe." Renjun mumbled, which Zhilan knew was probably the best answer she was going to get from him.

"Anyways, that's still no excuse for you to be so mean to Jaemin." Zhilan said, switching the topic as she gave Renjun a poke. "What was that even for?"

"Yah, why are you getting mad at me for caring about you?" Renjun exclaimed, crossing his arms. "I was just worried since you two literally hated each other when you first met. Plus, I don't want you getting hurt again. It was easy for me to comfort you with Xiaojun but Jaemin's my friend. I feel bad if I call him bad things."

Zhilan rolled her eyes. "Wow, here I am thinking that you actually cared about me but it's more about who's side you'll be on if we break up. Very optimistic of you, Renjun."

"Wait, a second, break up." Renjun said, letting his arms drop to his side. "You two are dating?"

Zhilan eyes widened and Renjun's hands went to his mouth.

"Heol, no way? I thought you still weren't over Xiaojun that's why I told Jaemin to stay back."

Zhilan narrowed her eyes, taking a deep breath to calm herself down. It didn't work.

"Why you little scumbag, I'm going to kill you when I get my hands on you!"

Renjun immediately got up, the two of them chasing each other around their room, screaming like children. It brought back many childhood memories, a frequent sight for the people that lived with the two.

They quickly stopped though as Renjun's phone began to ring, Jiayi's picture popping up on the screen.

"Put it on speaker." Zhilan whispered as they hopped onto Renjun's bed, Renjun picking up the call.

"Didi, are you with Zhilan?" Jiayi asked, her voice full of urgency. Zhilan and Renjun exchanged looks.

"Yeah, she is. What's wrong?" Renjun asked, his face full of concern. They heard Jiayi let out a big sigh of relief from the other side of the line.

"Xiaojun's gone missing. And we don't think that he's in China."
