Ft. NCT's Na Jaemin
There were two rules:
1. Never wander the dark streets alone at night.
2. If you see a person wearing a black leather jacket with a golden phoenix on the back, you better turn around and run, and don't even think about looking b...
Zhilan was stopped by Jaemin who slid in front of her, blocking Xiaojun from her view. "She's not going anywhere. If you think I'm going to let you leave this place with her, you're delusional."
Zhilan heard Xiaojun scoff and a few footsteps being taken as he approached Jaemin.
"Last time I checked, that's not up to you."
Zhilan peeked out from behind Jaemin to see what was going on. She winced as she saw Xiaojun take out a cigarette, placing it between his lips as he stared into Jaemin's eyes. Xiaojun's focus soon shifted from Jaemin to Zhilan though, holding the cigarette box out to her. "Want one?"
Before Zhilan could even fall into the temptation of smoking again, the cigarette box fell onto the ground, the cigarettes tumbling everywhere. Zhilan was in shock as she realized what had happened.
Jaemin had knocked it out of Xiaojun's hands.
Yah, is he out of his mind? Zhilan thought, unable to get any words out of her mouth as she stared at the fallen box in disbelief.
"She doesn't smoke anymore." Jaemin said before doing something Zhilan had never expected him to do.
As if he feared nothing, Jaemin gave Xiaojun a shove, one harsh enough for the male to stumble back. Xiaojun looked as if he was taken aback by it too, eyes widening.
Xiaojun's face was filled with anger an he ran straight towards Jaemin, a fist formed ready to punch.
"Yah you little-"
"Ah!" Zhilan screamed in hope that it would stop Xiaojun but Jaemin didn't need it. Zhilan's hands went straight to her face as she watched the scene in front of her unfold.
Jaemin had grabbed Xiaojun's fist, preventing the punch from meeting his face. He pushed Xiaojun back again, and Xiaojun fell to the ground from the force.
This only made Xiaojun angrier and he immediately got up, a hand on the knife attached to his belt.
Jaemin was faster though, hands in his pockets as he kicked Xiaojun in the gut, hard enough that Xiaojun was back on the floor again.
Is he... fighting?
Xiaojun's body was glued to the ground by now while Jaemin wasn't harmed one bit. Jaemin was using his legs and feet to keep Xiaojun down, hands in his pockets the entire time. It was shocking to see Jaemin act like this, but it was more shocking to see Xiaojun on the ground struggling, nothing that he did seeming to make his situation better.
There's no time to watch though, Zhilan thought as she quickly called the other Phoenixes for backup. Even if Jaemin could keep Xiaojun down, he knew that the goodness in Jaemin's heart will never allow him to injure him good.
Zhilan slid her phone back in her pocket to see Xiaojun reaching for his knife again, his hand in Jaemin's blind spot. Zhilan wasn't sure if Jaemin had seen the movement as it was so subtle, her heart racing inside of her as she prayed for Jaemin's safety.
"His knife!" Zhilan yelled making Jaemin come to his senses just as Xiaojun's hand came out, holding his knife.
Zhilan had no idea how Jaemin did it but somehow, he moved back enough so the knife slashed his knee, dodging Xiaojun's attack.
Zhilan watched as Jaemin's hands came out of his pocket, grabbing onto Xiaojun's wrist on the side he was holding his knife. He twisted his arm so Xiaojun's body had to turn around before shoving his face down into the floor underneath them, Jaemin's knee on his back to prevent him from moving.
Xiaojun's knife had dropped in the process and Zhilan made sure to kick it far away before taking Jaemin's side.
"Are you alright?" Zhilan asked as she bent down beside Jaemin, helping him keep Xiaojun down. She knew his knee was bleeding and he was probably in a decent amount of pain, but he gave her a small smile, nodding his head.
Zhilan's attention shifted when she heard Xiaojun chuckling from underneath them.
"Look at you two, breaking the rules." Xiaojun breathed out, making Jaemin tightening his grip. Xiaojun let out a screech but it still wasn't enough to stop him from talking. "You're hurting one of your own kind. A Phoenix."
Zhilan had seen Jaemin mad but her boyfriend's face now was nothing compared to what she has seen before. Jaemin's eyes were dark as if he had the intent to kill as he pulled Xiaojun's arm just enough so that it wouldn't break but enough so that he was in a large amount of pain.
"No, I'm not. Your loyalty to the Phoenixes ended when you decided to break Zhilan's heart."
