"It's complicated" Levi x Badass reader

Y/N POV-----

Erwin was explaining things to me. I started to zone out.

"So?" he asked.

"So ... what?" I said confused.

"So do you think you can forgive Jean?" he asked in a more genuine tone.

I looked down at the bruised hands in my lap.

"Yeah, I guess so." I still liked Jean, he's always been a great friend. He was one of the people who stuck by me during my fathers death.

"Okay, If you want to see him, I think he's in the mess hall with some of your friends.".

"Thankyou, is that everything?" I asked.

"Yes go enjoy your breakfast." He smiled.

As I left the room I saw Corporal Levi at the end of the hall. He barely glanced at me.

'What a prick.'

---- In the mess hall ----

Jean's POV---

Once I had explained myself to my friends, they were a lot more understanding than I thought they would be.

I just didn't know how I was meant to explain myself to- "Y/n . . . ". She walked in and sat at our table. 'Fuck fuck fuck' what do I say?

"Hey guys." she said calmly.

"Y/n ... I- ." She cut me off.

"Jean you don't need to explain." she looked up at me and smiled softly.

"I'm so sorry Y/n." I felt ashamed.

"seriously Jean, It's fine.", "You're a bit of a dick but it's fine." She laughed.

She stood up and hugged me. I was relieved.

Y/n -------- second person POV

Hugging him felt amazing. you really needed it.

You knew he was sorry, but with graduation coming up in the next couple days, It wouldn't be good to have disagreements or fights.

You sat down with everyone. They all smiled and laughed. You guys talked about graduation and what you thought it would be like joining the survey corps. "Yeah I heard the Corporal is a bit of an asshole." Eren said.

"Yeah, but at least Hanji and The Commander are cool." Mikasa said.

"Oi brats!" A loud voice said as Levi approached the table. "You guys are being loud!"

"We're not being that loud, In fact you're probably the loudest here." Eren said confidently.

'Rip Eren' you thought.

Sasha choked on her bread. The hall went quieter.

Levi looked pissed.

"Clean the stables for a month." He said harshly.

"Um- Corporal, I'm sure he didn't mean to be rude." Jean said cautiously.

"Two months, and you can join him, horse-face." He said coldly.

As Corporal Levi walked back to his table you, Sasha and Connie burst out laughing and wheezing. Eren and Jean both gave you a salty look.

Y/n POV------

After breakfast, I decided to go to the library. I always liked to look at the books about the outside world. It fascinated me. I had only ever seen it once, when I was small.

My Father and Mother had taken me away since the original village we lived in was destroyed by titans. My mother always wanted peace and safety for the family. "well, that didn't work out did it?" I mumbled.

I gazed at the books, concentrated. I've always enjoyed reading, but I had a weird feeling I was being watched.

Y/n-------- Second person POV

After a couple of hours of reading, you made your way to training. Commander Erwin told you to take it easy but you didn't just want to stand around so you partnered up with Eren.

"Don't you dare go easy on me." you said.

"Oh I won't."

He ran at you and attempted to kick your shoulder. You grabbed his leg and flipped him, make him do a backflip. He landed on the floor, face first. You almost felt bad, but you were in it to win it.

You felt like you were being watched again. You could hear Hanji squealing out of excitement.

But you focused back on Eren, You dodged all his attacks and put him to the floor many times. He stood up panting out of breath like a dog.

"you win." he said gasping for air.

"weak." you said being cocky.

When you turned you head you saw Hanji smiling at you and Corporal Levi standing with his arms crossed.

After everyone left, you ran another 10 laps to wear yourself out. After you had finished, it was getting dark and the stunning sunset had started to spread across the sky. Bursting with rich colour.

You stood there for a few minutes and admired it, taking in deep breaths of fresh air.

You heard footsteps approaching behind you. You ignored it.

"It's refreshing, isn't it?" the Corporal said calmly, taking a breath.

You looked up at him in confusion. He was short but still taller than you, which you found incredibly annoying.

He looked at the sunset, unemotionally. "We need someone like you in our squad."

"What, annoying?" You said sarcastically.

"Annoying, but able to enjoy the small things." he chuckled slightly.'

'I'm sorry did Levi just show an emotion other than annoyed?' you thought.

"Meet me in my office tomorrow morning to discuss the squad rules and what to expect."

"Yes Corporal." you said as you started to walk away.

"When it's just us, call me Levi." "Oh and don't get stabbed while you're at it." he smirked.

"whatever shorty." you said as you snickered. You could tell he was definitely staring you down.

"tsk." he mumbled.

----small time skip----

after you showered and put on your night clothes you went to bed, hopefully you wouldn't have another dreadful nightmare.
