{ Adley }

"Hey Cal" I cheered as he answered his phone,

"You are in a very good mood" he laughed, "What's up babe?"

"There's a party at the lacrosse house tonight. The girls and I are going and some of the boys basketball team are going. I was wondering if you wanted to come?" I asked, a little nervous, "You don't have to. I know you probably don't want to hang out with a bunch of-"

"Stop Adley" I heard Calum chuckle, "I'd love to go with you"

"Okay cool. Bring extra clothes so you can just stay the night" I grinned,

"Gotcha! What time do you want me at your dorm?"

"I think we're going to start walking at 8:00. You can come whenever though" I shrugged, even though he couldn't see me,

"Alright. I'll text you when I'm on my way!"

"Okay!" I smiled then looked at the clock, "I've got to go. I have class"

"Go on. I'll see you later! Bye!"

"Bye!"

I stepped into the bathroom and started getting ready for tonight. Miya had already left so I had the whole room and bathroom to myself. I pulled on a short cheetah skirt with a black top that was cropped with a deep v-line and tied behind my back.

Just as I finished, there was a knock. I pulled the door open, grinning at Calum,

"Damn baby" he bit his lip, eyes scanning my body, "Look at them abs" he smirked, poking my stomach,

"Hi Cal" I laughed, pulling him into my room. I went to grab my shoes, but Calum caught my wrist, pulling me back to him,

"Kiss first?" He cheesed. I rolled my eyes and went up on my tippy toes, pressing my lips to his,

"Better?" I asked. He nodded and let go of me, hitting my butt as I grabbed my shoes, putting them on and making me two inches taller,

"Okay, let's go. We're meeting up in the quad" I told him, taking his hand once he dropped his bag on my bed.

We reached the quad where a few girls from my team were waiting along with a few of the basketball boys,

"Sorry guys" I laughed, "This is my boyfriend, Calum" I introduced,

"Nice to meet ya man. I'm Trevor, and this is Carson and Matt" Trevor stepped forward, shaking Calum's hand,

"And the girls are Kelsey and Faye" I spoke. Calum shared a 'hello' and wrapped his arm around my waist.

"Let's get walking" Carson groaned, guiding Faye and Kelsey in front of him.

The whole walk, Trevor and Calum talked. They were getting along great, which I was glad about. I was nervous Calum wouldn't like us since we are younger than him.

We reached the lacrosse house and Carson, Trevor, and Matt stopped us all,

"Calum, since you haven't been before we need to warn you" Matt spoke directly, "The lacrosse team is known for roofying and for things getting out of hand. Keep an eye on Adley. Don't let her off by herself"

"You make it sound like I'm a baby" I rolled my eyes,

"Is it really that bad?" Calum questioned, pulling me closer to his side,

"Yeah" Carson sighed, "The last time we were here, someone brought a gun and set it off"

"Adley" Calum stiffened, looking down at me,

"We're fine Calum. I promise. I go to these all the time" I sighed, leaning up and pecking his lips.

We all nodded to each other and walked in and headed straight to the kitchen to get drinks. I got both Calum and me one and we all went back to the living room.

{ Calum }

This whole party thing now made me nervous, knowing what goes on. It shocks me that Adley continues to go, but I'm not her parent and she's an adult and can make her own decisions.

The girls were drunk and me and the other guys were tipsy. Trevor, Carson, and Matt really look out for those girls- that made me feel better knowing Adley came to these.

We made it back to Adley's dorm, stumbling a little. I got changed and helped Adley change, then we climbed into her bed. I held Adley to my body as we both fell asleep, Adley much faster than I.

< Friday, 7th >

I was up before Adley.

In the middle of the night, she had moved to where she laid between my legs with her head on my chest. I softly ran my nails up and down her back as she continued to sleep. She looked so peaceful, so innocent.

Last night, Adley was herself. She wasn't acting as if everyone called her a baby. She was loud, happy, and care-free. I was so comfortable with her friends too. They were all welcoming and nice. I hate that Adley feels so unwelcomed and uncomfortable with my friends. I've got to work with them and tell them to get their heads out of their asses because I'm genuinely worried I'm going to lose Adley because of it.

Adley began to move around, her arms wrapping my torso,

"Good morning" I whispered, pushing her hair from her face,

"Morning" she whispered back, burrowing into me,

"What time is class?" I questioned, not wanting her to miss but seeing it was well past nine,

"I'm skipping" she spoke and moved higher up to where her face was level with mine, "Hi"

I leaned my head up and kissed her lips,

"Thanks for going last night. I know you probably had better things to do" she spoke, moving next to me and laying on her side facing me,

"I had fun. You know I'll do whatever with you" I smiled,

"Thanks" she grinned, cuddling into me more,

"Can I ask a question?" I spoke up, getting a small hum in return before Adley lifted her head, "Why do you still go to those lacrosse parties? I mean it just seems dangerous" I sighed.

As soon as I asked, I regretted it. Adley sat up, glaring at me,

"You too?!" she groaned, making me sit up quickly, "They all aren't bad. It was a one time thing. I know Trevor and them made it sound that bad but it's not"

"Adley, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-"

"For once can someone not treat me like a fucking child. I'm almost 20. I'm not a baby" she ranted, but at the end, she looked like she was going to cry,

"Adley, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel like that. I was just being an overprotective boyfriend. I don't want to make you feel like that. I'm sorry" I apologized, holding my arms open.

She stared at me then sighed, leaning into my hold,

"Sorry I got mad at you" she mumbled,

"It's okay" I kissed her head
