AH RANBOO IS DOING A LORE STREAM AS IM WRITING THIS

***

OCTOBER 10TH

I waved hello to my stream, finally doing my first bedwars stream in North Dakota.

"Well, as you can tell, things are definitely different," I said, glancing around my new room. I'd been there for a week, but hadn't done a single live because I was still getting set up for school. "Ummm...what is it like in ND? It's definitely a lot colder, I'm kind of in the mountains so I definitely am seeing a lot of snow, which is weird cause I've never seen snow before."

I grinned and logged into the mini-games server.

"Yeah so, Sapnap and I are actually really fine. I don't really want to talk about relationship too much. Like, I'm totally fine with fanfictions and shipping and fanart and all that. I'll read your fanfics and all that and laugh, cause I seriously don't care about that kind of stuff. Anything you could possibly fathom up, seriously guys. Uh--what, you want an example?" I racked my brain for a minute. "It's like, I've seen some smutty fanfictions or I'll see a fanart of Sapnap and I having sex on my fucking pinterest, and yeah, that's weird, but neither of us are bothered. Believe me, if I see something I don't like I just scroll past. It's not a big deal to me."

I tried to concentrate on the game. I knew that Lydia knew that I was a streamer, but it still felt weird to actually stream with someone else in the house, especially someone as society-conforming as Lydia.

But as I talked to my chat and yelled in victories and defeats, she didn't say anything crude or snide or tell me to quiet down. I noticed a few people asking why I looked so upset--which I didn't realize at first.

"Oh--guys, no, I'm okay. I'm just trying to get started with school again, and the move was definitely stressful. Plus I don't live alone anymore, so I'm trying to be a bit respectful. I promise I'm not, like, depressed."

I went on to play a few more games, trying to convince both myself and my followers that I was doing fine. The truth was setting in--I felt out of place and almost unwelcomed. I had no friends here, except for maybe Tom up the street.

He was not unattractive, but he certainly didn't seem like my type. He had short, shaggy brown hair, crystal blue eyes, and a creepy aura. I could definitely see what Lydia meant when she gushed over him. He looked like he worked out every day, obviously had muscles. I remembered the way he smiled at me--I was not welcomed with happy reminiscing. He gave off terrible serial killer vibes.

Still, those eyes pierced my thoughts, imprinting themselves into my mind. His voice--smooth, falling effortlessly from his lips, whereas I stumbled over my words. The way he said my name was almost soothing, had I not been wary of his vibe.

I snapped out of my thoughts. Christ, what was I thinking?

I ended the stream soon after.

OCTOBER 1OTH - NIGHT

"So, you enjoying it up there?" Nick's voice asked from the phone. I was still caught up in my thoughts from earlier.

"Yeah," I mumbled, staring at my psychology syllabus on my monitor. "There's this weird guy up the street though. Lydia wants me to start dating him or whatever."

"What, you haven't told her that we're dating?"

"Not yet, I kind of want to give her a shock when I tell her that I'm dating a boy that's also in computer science and streaming for a living. This guy is some big business investor, I guess. But he's weird."

"You've only been there for a week and you're already being stalked. I'm coming to get you," He said, half-joking. "Just tell him to fuck off."

"Ugh," I put my head on the desk. "I wish I was a freshman again. This advanced psychology shit is too much for me. I need a drink--or better yet, a blunt. Is weed legal in North Dakota?"

"Yeah, but only for medical uses. Sucks to suck,"

"Nick, weed isn't legal in Texas or Florida, dumbass," I laughed, picking my head up to look at him. We had been facetiming every day for hours at a time. I already missed his hugs.

"Eh, it's fine. Who's going to stop me, the alligators?"

"Probably the cops, Nick,"

Now, I don't encourage the use of illegal drugs, or underage drinking. If the cops ever come asking about it, I have never ever done any alcohol ever.

Nevermind that.

We talked for a little while more before I crawled into my bed and started to drift off, Nick already half asleep on the other end of the line. I wished he was there with me. I wanted to kiss him again.

As I slept, Tom's eyes burned themselves into my dreams.
