Enigmatic (Ray x Reader)

"A temple?" Musica clarified.

"Yeah." Sung Joo replied. "It's been pushed to the outskirts of the capital and downsized as time went on. Long ago, those who could convey our god's voice oversaw it. Appointed the king of every generation and helped to govern our citizen. And so they supported the hearts of the people. Because of my father and the nobility, our faith was distorted. The temples lost their power as well. Even now, there still remain citizens who pay their respects to the temple. Above all, the high and priest and four wise men. They were such fine people. They truly dedicated themselves to their citizens."

"So they were your teacher's teachers." Musica said.

"After the promise was forged, the high priest allowed the people to violate our doctrine. It was so they could protect their lives. But to atone for that, he observed the faith on his own. He continued to pray for the well-being of the people. It's because of him that the people can eat cultivated human meat. Thanks to the sacrifice and prayers of the high priest and his followers, they quelled the anger of our god."

"So what is your idea?"

"To revive the high priest and four wise men with our blood. After that, make the high priest king. They're still alive after all this time by stopping cellular division and metabolic processes."

"That's quite impressive."

"They've been praying and waiting for 1000 years. I don't even know if I can successfully revive them in the first place. But now that the monarchy has collapsed, the only one who can calm the chaos, bring the people together and guide them.. is the high priest."

Musica discreetly smiled. "Then we better hurry it up." She said as she revealed a knife. "Before the news of the queen and regent houses dying gets out. We promised them. We're not going to let anyone else die. We won't let riots or war erupt. We won't kindle the fire of hate. Before everyone finds out about the death of the queen, we'll install a new king. We'll revive the high priest and the four sages. With our blood."

Musica and Sung Joo (Mostly Musica) had given the dormant demons the blood. Slowly, the high priest opened his many eyes. He asked where they were. The 'traitorous' pair caught him up on the current situation. The priest was apologetic that Sung Joo and Musica had to go through so much for all the years. He was going to help them.

"Her majesty the queen has passed!" A soldier announced.

"Wait, what?"

"Killed by bandits who took advantage of the confusion in town. They even killed the lords and lady of the five regent houses!! But do not worry. Henceforward, the four great farms and the vassal armies of the five regent houses will govern under an assembled council! I will hereby read the proclamation!"

"Who?!"

"Who are the bandits!?"

"Where are they now?"

"QUIET!" The demon shouted. "We have already identified the culprits! The bandits who killed her majesty and the aristocrats and threw this town into destruction and confusion... are the banished traitors, the Grin clan, and the male and female duo known as the evil-blooded!" He unraveled a paper showing Sung Joo and Musica's faces.

"Wait, aren't those two..." A young child muttered.

"Yeah." The sister remembered. "They're the ones who helped us."
