"Hey, soldier." The two children's parents spoke. "That's not right."

"Yeah, hear us out. They were..."

"We kindly ask for your cooperation." Another soldier politely said. "Those who saw the bandits or received their blood, please come this way." The oblivious demons followed the soldiers like fish to bait. They were immediately locked up. The cell ran with yells and shouts of confusion and demand. "You all are contaminated with harmful blood. Therefore, we must isolate and dispose of you."

"Dad!! Mom!!" The child screamed. He and his sister felt a tug on their shirts. They were taken into an abandoned alleyway. "Let us go!"

"Don't struggle." The soldier said. "You both drank the blood, too."

"If they find out, you'll also be captured. You don't want that." Another said. "We must retaliate."

"Kill the bandits! Capture any of the contaminated that try to run away! Don't forgive the enemy! Don't forgive their attack on her majesty, the aristocrats, and us! We shall punish them with death!"

The propaganda spoke to the hearts of the people as they began running through the streets. Practically a mob now, they searched for the villainous duo.

Musica, Sung Joo, and the high priest had heard it all. They were deeply angry that the people would be murdered because they consumed blood. Blood that healed them. They turned a corner and there were dozens of spears pointed at them. They were surrounded.

"We've found you, you bandits!"

"How dare you attack our town!"

"We'll kill you!"

Sung Joo flipped his spear into a fighting stance. They're civilians... Do I kill them? No. But I have to at least save Musica and his excellency.

The three were weak from their travel and the poison set off in the town. Though they were immune to degeneration, it still somewhat affected them. They collapsed to the ground, now at spear point.

"Sung Joo. MUsica. We're arresting you for attempting to overthrow the government."

The two children and two seemingly nice soldiers overheard it all. They cheered for capturing Sung Joo and Musica, but they still had another issue at hand. They must find the contaminated blood.

"Hey, you there." The four turned to see a superior demon. "Who are those kids? You both saw the oversaw the central square, correcT? Could those kids be evil-blooded?"

"No, these children are simply lost." One answered. "They are unrelated to the evil-blooded."

"We were there and can confirm that fact." The other told.

"I see." He replied. "Orders are to segregate all those with contaminated blood. Make sure you don't let anyone get away."

"Yes sir!" The two answered. The higher walked away. The duo turned to each other. "Yeah, they can't be here."

"But what can we do? Were we lied to all this time?" He wondered. The evil-blooded clan. They were rebels who used their toxic and disease-inducing blood to revolt against the royal family. That's what we were told all this time. But in reality... That blood was able to restore those who had degenerated. No, even more than that. According to witnesses, they offered their blood to citizens who hadn't. degenerated to prevent them from doing so. Does that mean the evil blood is a remedy for degeneration? And all you have to do is drink it?!

"So it's extraordinary blood."

"Then why were we lied to? For 700 years and they're still being pursued? Because they'ere in the way? The evil blood gets in the way of the farms' desire to rule over us. If we didn't have to eat humans to prevent degeneration, the farms wouldn't have so much power."
