It was the next day and I was very much not looking forward to what comes next. I got up and got dressed in my beta Luz outfit, yes i'm calling it that now, and debated taking my staff before deciding to leave it here and grabbing my red bat and strapping it, in its case, onto my back. I make my way towards the stares after I kiss King on the head.
"Weh?" He was a little startled at that.
"Morning lil cutie." I said.
"I am not your little cutie!" He tries to be intimidating but it makes him cuter.
"Yes you are." I pat his head before heading down.
"Yeah..." He sighs and follows me down, going to his favorite napping spot on the couch.
"Morning Eda." She looks a little off put, probably because she doesn't really remember yesterday.
"Who are you again?" She was shaking spiders out of her hair, something that creeped me out enough to stay away.
"It's me, Luz....The kid who helped you with Warden Wrath yesterday." She still looks confused at this. I sigh at this. "Just get some apple blood, maybe it'll come to you after that." She shrugs at me and does just that.
"Anyway, when are you going to start teaching me? I'd rather not burn something down by accident." I hear her sigh.
"Listen kid, i don't have time to teach you right now. I 've got a lot of orders to fill and a deadline to keep. If you want me to start teaching you, you have to work for it." she hands me a bag with a bunch of potions in it.
"Alright. I've already got a staff, that should make it easier." She seems to think about it before making a decision.
"Actually, i think you should go on foot. I don't want you getting used to flying everywhere and getting lost when you are forced to walk." I nod at this, seeing the reason.
"Alright then, i'll take my baseball bat with me for protection. Never know what could happen." She nods at this, a little confused about what i was talking about but not questioning it.
"King you're going with her. And don't forget your mask kid, don't want people going after you because you're human." I knew something felt off. I ran to grab my mask and put it on, along with my hood, before going back down to hear the latter half of their argument.
"...Unless you want to start paying rent." King stomps towards the door, grumbling under his breath.
"Alright, King you ready?" He grumbles again before climbing onto my shoulder and nodding.
"Remember, never befriend a man in sandals and always measure twice, cut once." She rushes us out of the door. "Be back before night fall or risk mortal peril." She slams the door in our faces.
Me and king look at each other before shrugging and moving on. It didn't take long before we got to the archway. People were starting to stare at me for some reason.
"Hey king?"
"Yeah?" he took to sitting on my head so i couldn't do much but keep my posture confident and try not to move my head.
"Have you noticed....." I didn't want to say it out loud or else I'd lose my nerve. I don't like people staring at me but I don't have much choice.
"Yeah. Do you know why people are staring at you? I mean, you look like a normal witch, except for the mask but no one usually cares about that." Ah so I'm not going crazy.
"Well, i did sing a bit yesterday but i didn't think it was anything to worry about." He hums.
"Well, it looks like you got some fans." I get a bit confused at this until he turns my head to the left and sees people smiling and squealing as I look over. I swear I saw one of them faint.
