By the time we had actually found the catacombs, it was night. The cold, crisp air nibbled at my fingers as we explored the outside of the buildings. "I'm starting to really miss my jacket.." I said to myself. "Over here!" Tony shouted. He was on the other side of the building. I ran over to him and he pointed to the entrance of the Catacombs. "Nice!" I said. I ran over to the entrance with Tony and I examined the steel net. I tried pulling on it, as if that would do anything. The doors behind it were wide open, so I decided to call out to Rudolph's Brother.

"Gregory! Are you there? I'm a friend of Rudolph!" I shouted. No response. I looked at tony and stuck my hand out. He handed me the spanner. "I'm going to try and get as many of these off as possible. Help me lift the net." I said as I started unscrewing the bolts at the bottom of the net. This spanner was quite fast, so they were really easy to get off. So far, two of the bolts were undone. Suddenly, a car like vehicle raced over to us. It stopped in front of the entrance and out hopped Rookery. He had a crossbow in hand. I pushed my brother behind me without turning around.

I balled my hands into fists and I gave Rookery a glare as he stepped forward a bit. "Such helpful brats." Rookery chuckled as he held up the crossbow at us. "Is brat your favorite word or are you so dumb that its one of the only words in your vocabulary?" I sneered back at him. "Watch it!" He growled. A small helicopter looking vehicle flew down and Manny stepped out of it. "Just because you're children doesn't mean I'm not going to put an arrow through your chest." Rookery said as he stepped closer once more. I stepped back, making sure to keep Tony safe behind me. I could tell he didn't wanna be behind me, but I couldn't let him get hurt.

"One tiny question first.. How did you get my spanner?!" Rookery asked. "He's got a thing about that wrench." Manny said. I knew a lot about manny from hearing them argue when they kidnapped me. Manny was the brains. Rookery was the bronze. Rookery was using Manny for his gadgets. By now, Rookery had started slowly approaching us.

"Manny! You seriously can't see what he's doing? You signed up to hunt vampires. Not kids! You're really gonna let him kill us? He's using you!-" Rookery cut me off. "That's enough!" He shouted. I saw something in the air and I turned my gaze towards it. It was Rudolph and the cow. I smiled lightly. But, that was interrupted by Rookery, again.

"How did you get it?!" Rookery yelled. At this point, I started getting annoyed by Rookery. I couldn't keep my anger in much longer. "You wanna know how? Fine. Maybe this will help!" I said as I threw the spanner as hard as I could at Rookery. It hit him in the head and he fell back. Rudolph came down and grabbed my hand. He grabbed Tony's hand as well and we flew off. "This is becoming a bit of a habit. You get yourself stuck in some horrible mess with Rookery, and then I come to your rescue~" Rudolph said.

"What about you? I've come to your aid a few times as well." I pointed out as we landed on the balcony of a building that was a part of the Catacombs. "Well, I guess that's what friends are for." Rudolph said with a smile. I flashed a smile back at him. He looked to my cheek and brought his hand up to touch my face. "You're all scratched up." Rudolph said, referring to the scratch on my cheek. My face flushed pink.

"I'm fine Rudy. It's just a little scratch." I said, being optimistic once more. From where we were, we were able to see and hear Rookery quite clearly. "Is it painful?" Manny asked with a smirk. "That's the thing about getting hit between between the eyes with a spanner," Rookery said as he grabbed the spanner and stood up, swinging it at Manny. "Of course it hurts you dimwit!" Rookery yelled.

He shoved the spanner into Manny's arms. "Help me open the net, but not too wide. I don't want those filthy bloodsuckers escaping again." Rookery menaced. Both Rudolph and I tensed up. "The only filthy thing here is his grubby face.." I grumbled. I looked towards the aircraft that Manny had driven and there was something weird looking on the back of it. It looked like something you would see in those hungry shark games.. "What is that?" I ask as I point over toward where it was on the helicopter vehicle. "Oh no.. they're going to bomb the catacombs!" Rudolph panicked in a whispered tone.

I grabbed his hand and stood on the ledge of the balcony. He flew up and stood on the ledge as well. "Tony, stay here with the cow. Okay?" I said. He nodded. "Rudolph, can't you put a spell on them like Anna did?" I asked. "Eugh, that's a girl thing." He said as we started flying towards Rookery. "Isn't it a vampire thing? You never know unless you try!" I encouraged. I landed on the ground quietly in front of the entrance and Rudolph continued to float. "By the dark power that resides within me, I bend you to my will!" He said. His voice echoed through my ears. Right now isn't the time to get all romancey about him.

"No, you don't. I don't feel a thing. Except homicidal." Rookery smirked, holding the gun up to him. "I told you it was a girl thing.." Rudolph said as he flew to my side. Rookery pointed the bow at me and I smacked it away. "How about we bargain like normal people?" I asked with a sarcastic tone. "Yes! There must be a bargain." Manny agreed. Poor guy. He probably looked up to Rookery somehow.. "Shut.. up.." Rookery said as he shoved the gun in Manny's direction. "Bargain? Sure. You can watch while I seal the catacombs shut forever and you, vamp boy, can crawl into that hole with the rest of your family." Rookery said.

"Please! I'll.. I'll.." Rudolph tried to come up with something. "The bomb is going off in thirty seconds." Manny said as he walked back over to us. I hadn't noticed, but manny slipped the bomb under the net while we were talking. "Well boy, in or out?" Rookery asked. "I'll come up with something, just give me a moment.." I whispered in Rudolph's ear. "We've got to move back. There's going to be a shockwave." Manny said.

"Come girl!" Rookery said, grabbing my arm and dragging me away. Rudolph and Manny followed him of course. He threw me behind a stone casket and ducked down himself. Rudolph flew down and sat beside me, while Manny hid on the other side of me with his ears plugged. I grabbed Rudolph's hand and held it in mine, trying my best to reassure him, even when I wasn't sure myself.

The ticking grew even louder and Rudolph stood up. I pulled him back down and I met him with my gaze. His crimson eyes were saddened as I shook my head. "I don't think we can.." I said with in a hushed voice. I was sad as well. Knowing that I had let down Rudolph and his clan. He pulled me into a tight hug, which I didn't pull away from. I held onto him tightly. Just then, there was a loud explosion.

It was over..
