The day had passed just like that. When he was still asleep, I took my leave to go back to the mansion. I'm leaving tomorrow after all, so I gotta go buy some stuffs before leaving for a VERY long time.

Thinking about my departure over and over. Worried about him so much. Will he be okay when I leave him like this ? I'm really worried about him. But I can't postpone the whole plan either.

"You seemed to be so deep in thought. What's wrong dear ?" Asked mom

"It's just... I'm worried about a lot of things. Starting a new life, leaving everything behind, and there are a lot more. What if me and Sarah doesn't get along ?" I said to her

"It's normal to worry about these stuffs, but isn't that's what challenge is all about ??? Also, I know you'd get along with your sister well so don't worry okay ?" She ruffles my hair

"You seemed to be more worried about something else. Who could it be about ?" Mom asked

"It's... Joshua that I'm worried about..." I said as I frowned by the thought of leaving him be like that

"And for what reason would it be ??" She asked

"You know how things were yesterday. It was a whole mess for him and he's currently trying to get over it. He's always stubborn and wouldn't tell his friends about his problems most of the times and have been depending a lot on me. Wouldn't this be a big loss for him ?" I was frustrated thinking about it again

"Do you like him ?" She suddenly asked which of course I was taken aback by.

"What's with the sudden question ?" I raised my eyebrow

"I know my daughter well. She's usually not this way when talking about someone. Not to mention, that someone is a guy" said mom

Well she does got a point

"Well... Kinda...? I mean, he's nice and all... But it's only in highschool and for sure the feelings would fade as time passes by. Plus, it's just a silly crush" I said to her as I stared up onto the ceiling

"Are you sure it's just a silly crush ? It seems that you're in love with him" she chuckled

"Mom !" I hit her lightly

"Ooh ~ jackpot ~" she teased

"STOPPPP" I covered my face

"Okay okay I'll stop" she laughed

"Though, are you sure your feelings would fade just like that ?? Sometimes, it doesn't work that way" said mom

"Pretty sure that's the case. After all, I'll be gone for YEARS. I'm sure I'd fall for someone else there" I said to her

"If that's what you'd think about, then stick with it to feel less worried about him. You don't want anything to get in your way right ?" Mom pats my back
