The Setup

Jamie's POV:

I went downstairs to see why Boy was barking and I see someone at the door. I go to open it and it is Tyler and Kate. Apparently they were in the area looking at Tyler's new house and thought that they would drop by unannounced.

Tyler: hey man

J: hi

Tyler: can we come in?

Me being half naked and not want them here I keep the door half closed just allowing for my body to show and not the rest of the house.

J: umm I'm kind of busy right now. Maybe another day man

Tyler: come on man just for a drink or something.

J: sorry man not today

Kate: what happened to your face and why are you half naked

J: I got a haircut and I was about to shower

Tyler: your hair is wet

J: that's why I'm about to shower it's gross

Tyler: who do you have in there and why won't you let us in?

J: no one

As soon as I said that Boy goes running upstairs

Tyler: then who is Boy running to?

J: no one he probably just wants to go play since we are just standing here

Tyler: so you really not going to let me in

J: sorry man I got things to do

Tyler: whatever

And with that they both walked away and I close and lock the door

I walk back upstairs and I see Lucy just unbothered and playing with Boy. We talk for a bit and she goes downstairs and I shower.

I get out of the shower and I hear people talking so I quickly grab my shorts and run downstairs.

I walk into the backyard to see a smiling Lucy with no other then Jordie and Jess.

Jordie: hey man! Where's your clothes?

Jess: are we just going to ignore his face and hair?

I honestly didn't know what to say. I look to the right and I see no other than Tyler and Kate there too

Tyler: so I guess I know why you didn't let us in before.

He had this smug look on his face.

J: why are you guys here??

I was annoyed like why?? I wasn't bothering them. I didn't text them. I didn't ask for them to be here.

Tyler: idk why Jordie is here but I just wanted to know why you were acting so weird. Turns out you're a simp

I honestly couldn't say anything. Because if I did I don't think Tyler and I would be friends.

Jess: well Jen texted me telling me Lucy was giving you a hair cut and I just thought we'd stop buy and say hi and introduce baby Billie to Lucy.

L: isn't she cute?

I look over at Lucy and she's just smiling holding Billie. She wasn't even bothered that they ruined our date or if she was bothered she didn't show it.

I take a breath.

J: she really is. I'll be right back

I go upstairs and grab a shirt. On my way back down I see Lucy just about to walk up the stairs.
