The Setup

Lucy's POV:

I woke up to Meg waking me up. 

L: Hey what's wrong?

Meg turns on the TV

"Lucy Le's mystery man is no longer a mystery. The caption of the Dallas Stars and Lucy were spotted together earlier this year, and it seems that they have now made it official after Lucy's last Instagram post"

L: Well that was fast

Meg: Yeah they reached out to me and Tyler so I sent them a statement as to who Jamie is. Hopefully, it sheds a positive light on him 

The TV keeps going. 

"You might be wondering who is Jamie Benn? According to a close source. He is the caption of the Dallas Stars, a hockey team based in Dallas, Texas, he runs his own construction company building soldiers' both American and Canadian homes once they get back from their missions. On top of all of that, he is also an ambassador of the MS society. Seems to us like she found a good one. Stay tuned with more to come."

L: You know what? I am going to post the vlog today before the game. 

Meg: I'll get Lauren to call Mitch and warn Jamie what is about to go down. 

L: Don't scare him. He knows what he got himself in. Just tell Mitch to make sure Jamie is dressed and ready for press. And Me?

Meg: yeah?

L: This isn't a problem. Jamie and I aren't doing anything wrong.

Meg: Ok but what are you planning?

L: No more secrets. No hiding this relationship. Everyone is going to know. 

Meg: What do you mean?

L: I have hidden all my relationships and look at how that turned out. 

Meg: Are you sure about this?

L: Yeah it is time, plus this one feels different. He can handle it. 

Meg: Ok.

Jamie's POV:

I honestly wasn't worried. I mean Mitch was right. We weren't doing anything wrong. 

We were all sitting around talking about cars and which ones we wanted to get next when Brad, Vinny and Jason come in from the backyard. 

Brad: Hey so I heard about what happened and I need to get you to change. 

He pointed at me. 

Tyler: What's wrong with what he is wearing?

Vinny: we aren't going to church buddy. We are going to a basketball game. Let's go see if you got some other clothes. 

We head up to my closet and Brad and Vinny starts going through my clothes. 

J: So what are you looking for?

Brad: Something that Jamie Benn would wear. Not caption or church Benn. 

Mitch: When you go get groceries what would you wear?

I reach for the grey vintage Laker's grey long sleeve and then my cream beanie

Vinny: Perfect. Now wear that. Maybe no to the hat, your hair looks fine. What I am trying to say is you don't need to change who you are to be with her. 

Tyler looked confused.

Brad: She likes you for you. She could care less about what you wear, as long as it is you and not you trying to be someone else.
