The Setup

Jamie's POV:

I had just finished cleaning up. Jordie and Jess had left not too long after Lucy and her friends left. I've been laying in my bed thinking about today. Even though some things went wrong I can't stop thinking about the time I spent with Lucy. She was perfect. I didn't want her to leave. When I kissed her good bye I didn't want to stop but I knew I couldn't make her stay. I've been thinking about our kiss or should I say kisses.

I look at the clock and it's 12am. I grab my phone and decide I probably should text Tyler.

J: hey Ty sorry about today. How are you and Kate doing?

I put my phone down and not too long after I get a text back from Tyler.

TS: hey no worries man I get it. She's upset but she'll be ok.

J: that's good to hear man. You guys always work things out.

TS: what are you doing tomorrow you want to grab dinner?

J: sorry man can't I'm going to the race with Lucy tomorrow then probably try to take her on another date before she leaves.

TS: no worries we'll hangout soon

J: sounds good man

I put my phone down. I look at the clock and it's late. I probably should go to bed. Boy is down stairs sleeping. I turn in the TV and put Friends on.

—————Next Morning—————
I had set an alarm for 6am but it was 5:30 and I was already up. I didn't go to bed until 2am but I got out of bed and went down stairs to make some breakfast. I look at my phone and I see Lucy had texted me the tickets, address and where to park. She texted me at 5am. I'm assuming she's up or she just never slept.

I text her back good morning and thank you.

I put my phone down to make some coffee and eggs. Boy was standing by the door so I open it so that he could go outside. I fill up his food and water.

I hear my phone ring and pick it up. I hear her voice.

L: good morning jam jam!

I smile at the sounds of her voice.

J: good morning lulu why are you up so early?

L: I haven't really slept... I had some calls and I had some work to get done before the race. Hby? It's 5:30

J: couldn't go back to bed. I'll let you get back to work. Please get some rest. I'll see you soon.

L: sounds good. OHHH ALSO Meg landed in Dallas this morning she will meet you at the gate to show you where we are.

I laugh a little. She's so cute.

J: sounds good

L: see you soon.

I put my phone down. I see Boy running around the yard. I make breakfast and finish cleaning up. It's about 6:30 now and I don't have to be at the track yet. It should only take like 45min to get there. I'll leave around 7:30 and it should give me plenty of time to get there.

(For the sake of the story pretend the F1 race is in Dallas and not Austin)

Jordie and Jess are just going to meet me there. I change into workout clothes and go to my gym. I turn on the TV to see what's going on in Dallas. I guess nothing exciting is happening in Dallas because I see videos and photos of Lucy and I from yesterday. I don't mind being seen with her. I mean it's an honour really but the headlines are crazy. I turn off the TV and finish my workout. Once I'm done I head back upstairs and get ready for the day. I really want to ask Lucy to be my girlfriend today but I'm not sure yet. I don't want to rush things.
