ON THE RUN

Roedean Crescent Street, East Sussex

In the living room, Talia found Anika, Roland and Marie watching something from the laptop. "Angel, you are trending" Roland began and she watched Anika whisper something in Marie's ears and giggle. 'Now I remember her, the person Anika was speaking to back at the hotel' she thought and moved closer to view what was on the screen. The brunette hands flew to the chest and yelled, "Are you kidding me?"

Sean walked in and watched what was on the screen then cursed. "Impudent fucker!" Those were two curses from two people in almost 120 seconds. The tension couldn't have been worse, couldn't it? Amy wondered what her friend Marie and Ivanka were whispering about when there was something serious at hand. Roland was just being himself, calm and reassuring with positivity. He opened another link and showed Talia and Sean. Talia wasn't able to comprehend what she was hearing or seeing. It was too much watching Ryan on the screen lying about her. 'When did you realise she conned and cheated on you?[the reporter asked] Over 5months ago and despite that, I forgave and gave her another chance. I guess she was a cold, ungrateful bitch because I caught her with one of my business rivals in our apartment cheating on me.'[Ryan said]

"That dissembler cheating bastard is spreading lies! I am gonna kill him......!!" Talia shouted and Roland spoke. "That's not all, turns out he is getting lots of followers and comments on his posts. Oh, not to forget the new client's he got for his business due to this publicity stunt he pulled. This man is greedy" Amy placed her hand over Talia's shoulder. "And shameless. I am going to feed his balls to Maurer" she said.

"Who is Maurer?" muttered Talia and Ivanka replied, "Her dog, duh?" Sean was quiet and calculating. 'Amy might be right. Feed his balls to Maurer or beat him to a pulp?' He thought.

"I hate to say this but Ryan isn't the only one who the reporters got to. Watch this..."

Talia felt she had to get out. She needed to breathe. Why did he have to spread all those lies on tv? Why would Sam say that?' her mind scattered with thoughts. Soon she felt someone tracking her movements and turned to see Amy. "Ryan is not worthy of it. They are all not worthy, Talia." 'How was so oblivious that I barely saw through Ryan's deceit? And Sam? My sister in law told everyone that my thirst for revenge might have caused me to commit the crime. Is the world conspiring against me?' Talia drifted off a bit not hearing Amy call her. "Talia? Talia.."

'Prem was always right about Ryan. Why did I ever listen before?' Amy seeing she wasn't responding, part her shoulders. "What is it, Amy?" Amy folded her arms across her chest. "You zoned out. Don't take all that to heart, like I said they are not...."

"Worth it..yeah, yeah. Thanks but I want to be alone. Please,"

Amy nodded and went back inside.

Talia wandered off in the streets of Cresent.  She thought maybe walking will help clear her head yet she found herself sad, crumpled and unable to reason straight. This was the final blow, the universe was conspiring against her. There was a woman who approached and presented lily flowers to her, "3 bouquets for 1.00£ only." Talia shook her head and walked past the woman who kept on following her. The street was empty and fear crept within. "Stop following me!" Talia shouted at the woman who stood few metres from her and went on walking.

A strong gust of wind blew against her face and few strands of hair become loose. She hoped no one recognized her without the wig as she continued walking. Suddenly the woman lunged towards her and together they fell to the ground. "Excuse me? ...."

"Come with me now,"

"No, and if you dare touch me or come any closer I am going to scream"

The woman got up, "I saved you from that man in a black trench coat who is walking this way. You are welcomed so get up and come with me"
