Sunghoon saw the despair in Jake's eyes as he told his story, his tears wouldn't come out anymore because he cried too much.

"Jake..."
Sunghoon wrapped the boy into a warm hug, the older boy sighing sadly.
"You aren't mad... are you? For lying to you?"
Sunghoon's heart broke more, if that was even possible.
"Of course I'm not, Jake. You're beautiful and there's nothing wrong with being different. You made the right choice, leaving your mother."
Sunghoon inhaled as he felt the boy hold onto him tighter.

"Let's fix this." he said.
"Huh?" Jake blinked.
"Is it okay if I tell the others about this? We can report your mother to the police."
Jake shook his head.
"I don't have any evidence."
"Well, it's your one mother against us. Why don't we go get some evidence, then?"
"What?" John asked. Sunghoon smiled.
"The next time we see her, let's record. But we need to make it so that it isn't obvious." Sunghoon said, now holding Jake's hands in his own as the older boy looked to the ground.

"How do you propose we do that?" Via asked.
Sunghoon smiled warmly.

"I think I have some people for the job."

"EH?"

After persuading Jake to come with him and assembling his friends at the mall, Jake told them everything. His mother beating him, abusing him verbally and physically, his mother almost getting him married to a random guy, and him being transgender to not only be content with his sexual identify, but to also hopefully shield himself from his mother.

Which earned a screech of surprise from Riki.

"Omo... Jake. That's horrible..." Jay held the boy's hand in his, smiling.
"We love you for who you are. Don't think we are mad for you being trans or lying to us. You did what you had to to keep us safe, and we support everything. We will make sure your mother doesn't get away with what she did." Soeun said.
"Really?" Jake's eyes seemed to tear up for the billionth time, earning nods from the others.
"Absolutely." Heeseung nodded.

Oh, did Sunghoon forget to mention that Heeseung and Jay were together now?

"I came here for that reason." Sunghoon said.
"We need evidence to turn her in to the police. A recording. So that the police don't just have to go by our word." Sunghoon said.

"Hmm... Aha!" Jaehee felt a light bulb go off in her head.
"While I am the captain of the swim team, I'm quite into technology. I can whip up something effective for you in three hours." Jaehee took out her laptop and starting clicking.
"Since you have a button up shirt Jake, I'll have Hyewon sew this replacement on for you. It'll have a voice recording system built in, and that way there will be no suspicions. You can make contact with her, get her to say enough evidence, and I will be able to hear everything. I will send the file to the police and it'll be a done deal." Jaehee said.
"That's... amazing! Thank you Jaehee..." Jake smiled, the blonde giggling and nodding.

"And... done."
Hyewon sowed on the new button into Jake's shirt, smiling at her work. They were sat in Jake's room, the others having gone back home and John and Via waiting patiently outside.
"Make sure to wear a jacket overtop so that the sewing isn't obvious. The speaker is quite nice so it'll turn out fine."
Jaehee advised.
"Thanks." Jake said.
"Ready to go?" Sunghoon asked, to which Jake nodded, determined.

They walked outside and along the sidewalk with John and Via, the evening sunset in the sky.
"How do you know she'll come find us?" Sunghoon asked.
"The park is the only place she knows we have been at, I can tell she just stormed off without thinking." John said. Sunghoon nodded, the four of them arriving.

And in due time, she was there again.

"Seriously, how often do you stay here?" She scoffed at them.
Jake's button was recording, unknown to the older woman.
"What's it to you. You're not taking me back to Australia." Jake said.
"Why can't I? You even changed your gender to hide yourself... I was originally going to get you into a marriage, but a few more whippings and beatings will do. How dare you defy me? I'll give you worse beatings than before, Jessica-"
"I'm not Jessica anymore! I'm not weak like before. I'm Jake now and forever. I didn't want to be stuck serving some guy for the rest of my life! Just because I was a woman doesn't mean I'm supposed to 'act like one'. I choose how I want to act and that's all it is." Jake shot back.
"You know what?" His mother laughed hysterically, the other people around driving there attention to her.

"I'll kill you! Beat you to a pulp into your dead body can't defy me any longer! You hear me?" She yelled, attempting to punch Jake, Sunghoon protecting him and throwing both of their bodies on the grass, causing her to miss. John and Via moved out of the way as well.

Sunghoon blushed lightly as he fell on top of Jake, the older boy blushing as well.
"You good?" Sunghoon asked.
"Yeah."

Everyone else at the park let out gasps, some recording, some murmuring in surprise, and some seemed to be making phone calls.

She tried again, but the people stopped her.
"Get off of them!" A woman yelled.
And soon the police arrived, swiftly taking her away.

"I'LL KILL YOU, YOU HEAR ME!"

Jake sighed, hugging himself into Sunghoon's side as they sat up, Via and John helping them up.

"Now it's all up to Jaehee to get that recording in."

"How are you feeling?"

Jake looked up to Jaehee, smiling sadly. They were sat in the police station, the button gone from his sweater.
"Better. Did you get the recording in?"
"Yup. They should be back soon with news."

As she said that, a male police officer came out and smiled at them.
"Jake, is it?"
"Yes, sir."
"Miss Sim Yejun is safely detained and she will be brought to court. You don't have to worry, there's enough evidence and eye witnesses for you to get out of this okay. You and your family and friends are safe."
"Thank you officer." Jaehee smiled, the man nodding.
Jake quickly examined his Jake rage that said 'K. NAMJOON' before looking back up. The man then walked away.

I'm glad things are okay... I'm really, really glad.
