Nothing Without You ? Charlie Conway x Reader

"I FOUND ONE! I'M COMIN' OUT!" a small chubby boy named Dave Karp said, as a red trash bag fell off from his back.

"Karp, you finally found something for once in your life," another small boy named Peter claimed, making the others around him snicker.

Lester Averman tried to help Karp down from the dumpster, "Dumpster Dave comes through!"

Karp was holding a small, black purse in his hand, groaning as he got pulled out of the dumpster. He groaned once more and then asked, "What do you think?"

"Lovely, Karp, it goes with your eyes," Y/n teased, giggling at his annoyed expression.

"You gonna take that from her Karp?" Peter turned towards him.

"No. Remind me to bust your head, Foreman," he replied. "Thanks, Peter. Thanks very much," Y/n narrowed her eyes at Peter, and turned her head, for she saw her best friend running up to them.

"Did you get it?" She asked. Charlie pulled a can of chili from a brown paper bag. "Yeah! Right there!" He said as he passed the can to Dave.

Dave continued to smirk, and came up to the dog that was in the alley near them. "Here, Petie. Here, boy. A little chili to keep you warm, buddy."

He placed the can down, leaving Petie to eat away.

"I can't believe he ate the can too," Peter exclaimed, as the gang followed Petie along the sidewalk.

"He sniffs," Averman started, as they quickly walked past a place called 'Billiards Snookers'. "He sniffs again. Looking for that perfect place." They start to walk faster in anticipation.

"He sniffs some more. He stops. I think this is it! He's turnin' in a circle. He squats! He scores!"

"Yes! We did it!" They all cheered, high-fiving each other and smiling.

"Full load," Averman groaned, holding the purse full of Peties... leftovers. Everyone was groaning now, occasionally hearing the word, "Stinks!".

"Come on, come on, give me the dollar!" Averman franticly said, waving his hand in front of Y/n's face. She started rummaging through her bag, looking for the dollar.

"Hurry it up already!" Peter exclaimed. Y/n exclaimed back, "I'm hurryin', okay?" She found the dollar and handed it to Les. He placed the dollar under the flab of the purse, making it visible to anyone who spots it.

"Go, go, go, go!" Peter yelled. "All right! Let's do it!" Charlie smiled as they all hid behind a truck.

They all put their heads above the truck, viewing cars that go past. A nice red car started to slow down. Peter yelled at the car, "Oh, come on. Stop!" The car suddenly pulled over, right next to the purse.

The boys and girl ran out of their hiding spot to get a better view. "Okay! Here we go," Y/n said happily, knowing exactly what was inside the purse.

They all watched as the man walked over to pick up the entire purse. "Yeah. There's more inside," Averman said, nodding his head.

"He's taking off with it!" Karp exclaimed. Y/n commented, "This guy deserves what he gets."

The man shuffled back into the red car and closed the door.

Meanwhile, everyone moved forward to get a closer look. The car suddenly screeched and came to a full blown stop. He man inside started screaming his lungs out. Y/n personally thought she would've done the same thing.

You could see the purse get thrown out of the window with a "FLING". Everyone started bursting with laughter, but it soon came to a stop when the man looked back at them with a disgusted look on his face.

"Oh, guys, he saw us," Peter quietly said, probably scared way more than he should've been.

They all screamed and ran as fast as they could away from the man with the car. They hopped over the metal fence and started running again. After a bit of running, they finally got to a safe spot, on top of a small building.

Y/n pointed out, "Guys look!" They all realized that the man had fallen and was now covered in dirty snow and mud. They all broke into laughter yet again, and celebrated their small victory.
