You were stood backstage, you'd spent the year making a name for yourself. Everyone knew who you were, thanks to a little help from Loki who was playing the part of the devoted boyfriend perfectly. You'd decided to hold off on the wedding until people knew who you were, it would hit Bucky harder if your wedding was publicised everywhere.

Loki had taken on a new name and a British accent. It made him insanely attractive.
The nerves were hitting you like a freight train, it was your 3rd performance of the week. Your new single having shot to the charts. Loki took your hand in his, as he did every time you started showing signs of anxiety. He placed a kiss to your knuckles. "You've got this my love."
He placed a soft kiss to your lips as Jimmy Fallon welcomed you to the show. You took your place on the stage.
"Performing her hit single, we have Y/N Barnes." He introduced you.
The Avengers were well known, you kept his surname as a dig at him.

You stepped out on to the stage, fake confidence flowing off you. You blew a kiss at Jimmy and the audience cheered as you took a step behind the microphone as the music started. It was then that you lost yourself in the music, forgetting everyone else there. The emotion flowing through you as you sang.

"I hope you hear a song.

That makes you sing along.

And gets you thinking 'bout her."

Images of Bucky and Sharon flood your mind, the feeling of heartbreak flooding over you all over again.

"I hope your both feeling sparks by the end of the drive.
I hope you know she's the one by the end of the night!"

You take the microphone off the stand and let the emotion flow out of you and into your performance. Walking around the stage, you temporarily forget where you are.

"I hope you never ever felt more free,
Tell your friends your so happy!

I hope she comes along and wrecks every one of your plans.
I hope you spend your last dime to put a rock on her hand."

You can't help but notice how light your finger feels after taking your ring off. It only ever phases you when you sing this, the beautiful onyx diamond ring was still sat in the box at the side of your bed in the home you and Loki had brought together.

"I hope she's wilder than your wildest dreams.
She's everything your ever gonna need!"

You turn to the camera knowing full well he will be watching.

"And then I hope she cheats!
Like you did on me!"

You finish the song and head backstage where Loki is still waiting. He knows how much this song gets to you. He holds out his arms and you run into them, mentally preparing yourself for the interview that is to follow. He tilts your head up to look at him.
"You were perfect as always darling." He took the opportunity to kiss you, knowing in public that you wouldn't push him away. When your lips pulled away, you looked up at him with a smile. You knew how he felt about you, he'd made that obvious over the last year. The last month you had been seriously considering moving on, but you just weren't quite ready yet. He understood that and never pushed you in any way. Which only made him that much more attractive.

Back at the Avengers Tower, Tony had gathered everyone in the meeting room during your performance. He knew what you were doing, you were getting your revenge. It was common knowledge who James Barnes was, the fact that you kept your name had shown everyone that the Avengers had flaws too. Something that Nick Fury had not been best pleased about.
