Complicated (Reader Avengers Romance)

You walked into the compound, your palms sweating. You'd not really seen Tony since the day you left. Not entirely sure what you were supposed to say to him. You saw Nat on your way in, she gave you a smile and pulled you into a hug.
"So?..." She wiggled her eyebrows at you making you laugh slightly.
"I'll catch you up later Nat I promise, I need to go speak to Tony." You gave her a small smile. You expected her to pry but she just pulled you into a hug before leaving you alone in the corridor.

As you reach the door to Tony's workshop you pause. "Just get in here already Y/N." You hear Tony shout. You push the door open and see him sitting on the desk looking at a screen, images of you flashing past. "Hi big brother." You smile at him. "Don't you 'big brother' me. You disappear for a year which is fine, I get it. Then you come back, and everyone sees you before I do." You look down at the ground before you look back at him. "I'm sorry Tony." You really were, you never really knew how to handle having a brother. After being alone for so many years, having someone love you unconditionally like he does, it was scary. "I get it Y/N. I do. Just don't push me out, please."

You smile at him and promise not to do it again. He jumps down from where he's sitting and turns his screen round to you. "Now do you want to explain this one?" Pictures of you and Bucky on the beach flash across the screen, along with the headlines you'd seen this morning. "Just let me explain."

He looked at you expectantly. You pushed the screen back out the way and took his hand, leading him to sit down with him. "You have to promise not to hurt them." He scoffs at you and you playfully hit him in the shoulder. "Tony...please."
He sighs and nods his head in agreement. "Ok Y/N. I promise." You smile at him, he really was the perfect big brother at times.
"I'm erm...I'm dating both of them." You watch as his eyebrows rise so high that they nearly shoot off his face.

Neither of you say a word as Tony processes what you just told him. He pulls you into an unexpected hug. "Are you happy?" He asks standing back. You nod your head with a huge smile on your face. "Then that's all that matters to me, but if they step one foot out of line..." He trails off as Bucky and Loki walk in. In unison they answer him. "We won't." Tony moves back and gives them a glare, more aimed at Bucky than Loki. "I've heard that before from you Manchurian Candidate." Bucky looks down at the ground scratching the back of his neck.

You walk over to him and lift his face to yours, seeing the regret and hurt in his eyes. "It's ok Buck, I forgive you." You smile at him and his eyes light up. It's the first time that you've said it out loud to him. After listening to him explain what happened that night, and finding out Steve's part it in, you saw everything in a different way. "You screwed up, badly I might add, but you never intended to hurt me. I forgive you Buck."

Bucky wastes no time in placing a kiss to your lips. "Ok yeah I don't need or want to see that!" Tony shouts and you pull apart from Bucky, you can see how happy he is. "I've got to get ready for my interview, can I trust you all to play nice?" You look round at the 3 most important men in your life. They all reluctantly agree and you head up to your old room in the compound.

Bucky watches you leave and he can't stop smiling. You'd forgiven him, completely, something he thought would never happen. Loki walked over to him placing a hand on his arm. "You ok?" Bucky looked at Loki and did something no one expected, he pulled Loki into a hug. He couldn't deny how safe the hug felt. Loki rubbed soothing circles on his back. Steve chose that particular moment to walk in, he couldn't believe what he was seeing.

"What the hell?" He shouted out. Loki and Bucky pulled apart as Steve stared them down. Tony had witnessed the whole thing, he didn't know how you had managed it but somehow you'd found a way to tame two of the world's most broken men. He shook his head, sensing the conflict that was coming. "I'm gonna go...literally anywhere that's not here." With that he walked out.
