Complicated (Reader Avengers Romance)

The location of the sceptre was in a forest, the ground covered in snow. There was no signs of life within the trees, pulling apart the illusion that there was nothing there. You were sat in the jeep with Clint and Nat. Tony and the Hulk were holding back for now, Steve on his motorbike beside your vehicle. You weren't sure where Thor was, but you knew he wouldn't be far away. You placed the small earpiece in, ready to communicate with your team if you needed to. Clint looks over to you with a nod as he readies his bow. You pull your gun from its holster, readying it should you need it, fire engulfing your other hand.

Just as you break through the treeline, shots begin flying past you. The trees around you creaking as the metal lodges in them. You begin shooting fireballs towards the spots where the shoytys are being fired from. Nat was concentrating on driving without being hit whilst Clint aimed his arrows up into the trees. "You sure it's here Y/N?" He shouts over at you, neither of you stopping your attacks. 
"Well usually when someone threatens you." You duck from an incoming missile. "They tend to know where the item they want is." You send a fireball directly towards the enemies that are firing at you. 
Clint looks behind you before firing an arrow at someone who was about to fire their gun at you. "Alright, no need to get snippy with me." He smiles, causing you to roll your eyes at him. 

You hear the crack of thunder in the sky as Thor flies overhead, taking out the overhead shooters. "If Y/N says it's here, then it's here." He states for everyone to hear, swinging his hammer, neutralising the enemies in your way. You smile at him, realising no matter what the large god would always have your back, and it filled you with a type of love you never knew you had. 

Before you had too much time to dwell on it, Tony flew overhead, aiming for the main structure that you were working your way towards. "Stop being a fan girl, Point Break." You could hear the the smile in his voice, the pride at the way you'd integrated yourself back into the team without even noticing. He flew further ahead, whilst you rolled off the jeep, hitting a group of enemies that were in your way. You gun fired as blue flames flew from your hands, hitting everyone exactly where you wanted them to. You felt the ground shake as the Hulk flew past you, most people were scared of him, you just understood him. You and Nat were the only ones that could reach Banner whilst the Hulk was in control and Bruce had once told you that it was because of your lack of fear of him. You almost understood him, the need to let the monster within take control for a while was something you could relate to. 

"Shit!" You heard Tony shout as he hit the energy barrier surrounding the building you were heading towards. 
"Language!" Steve replied, almost without thinking, causing you to laugh. You and Steve were on much better terms now. He'd apologised and done nothing but try to make up for what he'd done to you and Bucky in the past. You were beginning to form some form of friendship and it's one you would treasure. "Y/N, you get any intel into the security system?" Steve asked through your earpiece. 

You wrapped your legs around one the enemies' neck, twisting to the side, hearing the satisfying crack. Smiling you jump down and press the button for your earpiece. "I was slightly distracted by the threats from your girlfriend." 
You could almost hear the eye roll before he replied. "Not my girlfriend." He stated, smiling at the fact you were now relaxed enough around him to make jokes. "FRIDAY what's the view from upstairs?" 

"The central building is protected by some kind of energy shield. The technology is well beyond any other Hydra base we've taken." The AI explains as you finally manage to fight your way to Thor, taking out an enemy that was aiming his weapon at him. He hears the body hit the floor and turns round smiling at you. A group of enemies surround the two of you, as you both take them down he starts shouting, apparently unaware of the fact the earpieces only require you to talk. "Loki's sceptre must be here."
