Awsten had no idea what time it was, him and Scarlett had fallen back asleep fairly quickly the night before after they had both freaked out over the DM that she had gotten from management.
He laid there for a minute thinking about how just two nights prior he had met her, and now she was curled up in his bed with her and she was already becoming one of his favorite people that he had ever met.
He didn't know how to put his feelings into words, they weren't romantic in anyway. Yet at least, but he knew that she was special to him and he would do everything in his power to make sure that she made it out to LA to get a shot at the career that she deserved.
Awsten smiled over at her when he noticed her shifting around in his bed trying to pull more of the covers away from him. "You're a blanket hog you know." he says softly, not knowing if she was awake yet or not, smiling when he hears a tired giggle from her.
"I know. I didn't want to tell you that last night because I was enjoying being curled up into you, but yeah I'm a major blanket stealer." she says tiredly, as Awsten brushes a piece of hair out of her face so that he could look at her a bit closer.
"Next time I'm giving you your own blanket Scar." he teases, taking in the sight next to him of the sun coming through the window lighting up half of her face.
"Oh so there will be a next time." she says sarcastically.
Awsten takes the pillow out from under his head lightly smacking her across the face with it as her laugh increases. "This is so unfair I just woke up and you're already coming after me." she says dramatically and he rolls his eyes as he reaches over for his glasses.
"You're dramatic." he tells her plainly, and she nods in agreement
"I also know that, you're not feeding me any new information I just know these things." she tells him with a smile as she turns around to face him.
"Hey there's those glasses again." Scarlett says sleepily, reaching up to push Awsten's hair out of his face.
Awsten nods softly, relishing in the feeling of her fingers running through his hair for a minute.
"Why don't you wear those more often?" she asks him curiously and he shrugs.
"Never liked how I look in them." he tells her quietly, and Scarlett nods in response still curled up under his blankets.
"Do you have contacts that you wear on stage or something?" she asks, still running her fingers through his hair and she frowns when he shakes his head.
"No I literally just can't see, fuck contacts. Touching my eyes freak me the fuck out." Awsten replies laughing, trying to ignore the concerned look on Scarletts face. "It's really not a big deal red, I'll probably get lasik eventually if I can get over my fear of needles." he says trying to get her to smile.
"Well if my word means anything, you look handsome with your glasses on. You should give your eyes a rest and actually wear them every now and again." she says softly, pushing herself up to sit up in the bed rubbing her eyes.
"I told you last night I'd take you out for breakfast today to make up for the fact that I woke you up from the most peaceful slumber I've ever seen, you still want to go and do that?" she asks Awsten, her voice a little more awake at this point smiling at him.
Awsten eye's widen at her, he remembered that she had told him that the night before but he didn't know if Scarlett would of remembered saying it or not.
"You don't have to do that." he answers quickly, and Scarlett smiles at him recalling what he had told her.
"I know I don't have to, but I want to." she repeats, and he blushes looking down at his hands before looking back up at her.
"My entire family is home today, you're going to have to meet them if we leave the safety of this bedroom." he says with a small laugh, and she nods.
"That's okay, if you're anything like them I'm sure that they're great." she assures him softly, frowning when she realized that she was still in Awsten's clothes. "But I would like to stop by my apartment to change into new clothing considering I didn't think I was sleeping here tonight." she adds on laughing, and he nods quickly.
"We can do that, you live close by. Any ideas of where you want to go for breakfast?" he asks her curiously, raising an eyebrow when a smile lights up her face.
"Of course I do, I always have ideas. Plus breakfast food is the best kind of food." she says matter of factly.
Awsten laughs at her, enjoying the small talk between the both of them in the comfort of his room right now. A part of him wanted to just sit here all day long, but he knew that the longer that the two of them sat there the more questions his parents would have about the entire situation between the two of them.
"You're right, breakfast is the best kind of food. We should probably get up and get going before my mom starts to ask us what colors we want our wedding to be." he says light heartedly and Scarlett shrugs.
"Navy blue is always a solid go to color I think, classic and timeless." she replies casually getting up out of bed, looking around on the ground for her clothes from the night before.
She looks over at him sitting in bed wide eyed, "Are you going to get up or are you just going to look at me like that?" she asks laughing.
"Did you really just fucking say that?" he asks giggling to himself as he throws the blanket off of him to stand up.
"Navy blue not your thing? We can't do red because people will just make jokes about my name and you're the only person allowed to do that." she rambles, her tone still joking as she gathers up her clothes.
"Oh so now I am allowed to make the red joke?" he asks with an eyebrow raised and Scarlett nods smiling.
"I always hated it growing up, but its kind of endearing when you do it for some stupid fucking reason." she replies, sighing at the end of her sentence.
"That makes me feel special for some reason." Awsten says quietly but thoughtfully and Scarlett smiles at it.
"You are special Knight, can't put my finger on it but you're definitely special." she agrees, not making eye contact with him.
"I like that when you say nice things to me you call me Knight, there's something funny about it." he teases with a smirk on his face.
"And I like when you're sleeping because you're quiet." she shoots back shaking her head, "C'mon lets go face your parents so that we can go and get breakfast."
