HE CAN'T HAVE WHAT I HAVE

If it wasn't already abundantly apparent, John Aardvark's insanity was already getting worse and worse.

"Today is...July 19th, 2021, I don't know the time," spoke a man, "I'm here at the...MEI Storage Facility just outside of Rendville, Ohio, some miles South of Zanesville, off of Ohio State Route-13, which actually passes through the city, but uh, yeah!" "And this is Sophia Aardvark here also, my husband is the head of the Documentary Department." "The reason we are here," the man continues, "Is, we are in search of an old computer they used back in...2016 I think...? It had something to do with a hard drive here that we needed." "Our goal is to get in, find the damn thing, and get out."

Sophia Aardvark returned on August 2nd, 2021.

Luke Rodgers returned on October 1st, 2021.

Neither had the hard drive.

"What do you mean you couldn't find it?" Monika asked after Luke had returned. "Look, I did the best I could," He proclaims, "Someone must have taken it." "No one could have!" She snorts back, "It's the smallest town in the State and isn't even in the town! It's outside of it!" "Look, we tried our best," Sophia replied, "But we couldn't find it." "Well, we desperately need it," Monika says, "John needs that hard drive to finish the Nick Wilde Company Documentaries. It had the most important detail in all of the company's history!" "Why would it be in the storage facility then!?" Sophia retorted, "It would be with you, or, at the very least, he'd have it!" "And you're telling me your husband doesn't have it?" "No! That's why you sent us to the facility to look for it!" "The end of the year is fast approaching," Sayori but in, "If he doesn't have that hard drive by then, he'll never have completed the whole story, especially since his last topic needs that hard drive." "What's the point?" Sophia asked, "It's just a little hard drive. What is it supposed to do? And besides, if it was used in 2016, why would John need it now?" "Oh, he..." Monika hesitates, "He wants to do a touch up episode over new information that just got released or found...!" "I'm calling bullshit on that," snorted Luke, "That's absurd!" "Look, just...we need that hard drive. Sophia, John was worried sick about you when you left, so you can stay behind. Luke, I'm sending Alex Miller with you to find the hard drive. You have until the end of the year."

Luke Rodgers returned on December 2nd, 2021, hard drive in hand.

Alex Miller returned on DECEMBER 3RD, 202X

Luke Rodgers goes missing on December 1Xth, 2021.

Monika, now having the hard drive, copies the files to her computer. By December 13th, she had all the files copied.  It contains not much information, but it does contain a very important part of the Nick Wilde Company that John had intentionally overlooked.

The Company never existed at all in that world.

There was no Nick Wilde Company ever in existence.

It never existed.

Ever.

It was now December the 18th, and John was working hard on editing, despite the fact that it was a Saturday (the Saturday before Christmas no less). He had come into the office and was working away at editing, drinking either coffee or alcohol depending on the time of day. He wasn't big into alcohol, so he grabbed a very low alcohol drink, but it contained enough to get him through the long hours he was putting himself through. Jack would not have been pleased by him overworking himself, but he was still missing, and the police had found nothing about his disappearance. 4 days since he had gone missing, and no word on where he was.

ALEX MILLER, DEAD, LAST SEEN 12-0X-21.

It was hard with 3 people missing.

Really hard when all three of them you knew.

Alex and John never got along, but he liked the guy.

John and Luke got along ok, but he wouldn't consider him a best friend. A more, lovely Co-Worker he could go to lunch with.

And the worst one was still Jack Sheuay.

Someone or something had been kidnapping people who knew too much.

And it wasn't John. He wanted the Magisterium gone anyways.

It almost felt like the whole world was missing, but John didn't care.

He wanted this project to be over with, and the only way he was doing that, was to overwork himself to make it perfect and get it done faster.

"Well, well, well," someone in the shadows spoke, "Working on a Saturday?" The voice was male, and someone whom John vaguely recognized. Figuring it was a member of the Documentary Department, he replied, "Yep, wanted to finish this damn thing." "Once it's over, what happens?" "Didn't I tell you? The Magisterium goes to the MEI." "So, you are just giving the domain away." "The what?"

"The domain."

"What domain?"

"The WattPad Domain. The one I had that was stolen from me by Jack!"

"What on Earth on you talking about?"

The man steps into the light. "...A. Sheuay? But...Book!Luke killed you!" "That was never clear," he replied, "It just says he stabbed me."

"So, lemme guess, you're here to 'take back the WattPad Domain'—"

"After you used it in a reboot that wasn't even supposed to be yours. You and Jack. Took it from me. Then? Ha, I knew it was gonna be great.

"I told my friend, LightingSpeed, to make a fake hard drive and store it in the MEI storage facility. If someone found it, they would find fake information about stuff that doesn't matter to anyone. That's not to say he actually did it.

"Regardless, it seems Luke Rodgers wanted it."

"Monika wanted it more."

"Oh, really?"

"Of course. She's always wanting all the information about everything happening."

"How bizarre."

"Indeed. Either way, if you want your domain back, you'll have to talk to Jack and Monika about that. I'm not running the Magisterium anymore. I'm doing being their fucking 'Lord.'"

"I understand. Ruling worlds is not as easy as it seems."

"No, it's not."

"Soon, you'll be free, John. You just gotta wait a little bit longer, and the whole of the Magisterium will be gone. In the hands of the MEI. The end of the year is only 13 days away. You can do it."
