Police have been investigating the disappearance of Luke Rodgers, Alex Miller, and Jack Sheuay for a long time now.
It displays the number of days since their disappearance.
They have been questioning the facts about the case and are wondering if these investigations are worth their time or not, especially with Alex Miller being supposedly dead for—
He turns off the TV. There's no point in watching it if the news is just going to tell him he's never getting his friend back.
"Missing you already, Jack."
"You ok?" Asked Sophia, walking into the living room, looking at John, who was now staring at the blank TV screen. "No," was his simple response.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"How about a toast!" cheered John, "To my lovely wife, Sophia." "To Sophia!" A bunch of glasses clinked together, as everyone took a sip. It was March of 2021, and he'd been happily married for 5 years now, the same year he graduated College at OSU, and 5 years after joining Murphy Enterprise Incorporated. She had worked for them prior to his arrival, and he quickly fell in love with her, as did she. It was almost love at first sight, if it wasn't for the one month they had been friends. It seemed like they had been rushing their relationship along, but no one ever questioned it. If they were happy, then why change things? John was very open about the Magisterium to his wife, even letting her visit it, which she was very proud of. She was one year younger than John, which she enjoyed quite a bit. As John had gotten older, he became stricter on the Magisterium, starting to keep it more and more secretive, which correlated into the MEI wanting more and more of it. It was either John made it less secretive, or he gave it to the MEI. Today though? He didn't have to think about any of that. It was just him, his wife, and some friends, enjoying Sophia's birthday.
But at the same time, he had the Magisterium to worry about. For the past few months, the grip on the other worlds had been faltering. In January, he'd been informed that he lost A. Sheuay to Book!Luke, and was losing his control over the DDLC Mod, with Mod Alex escaping the time loop that same day, and the Nick Wilde Company's CEO had some tough competition arriving closer and closer to the inevitable, a war between them and the Doof and Eggman Company. But, right now, everything was fine within the bounds of the Magisterium. He tried to push all that to the back of his mind, trying his hardest not to focus on it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"You've seemed oddly...broken lately," she speaks softly, "Ever since the Magisterium started going south...back in May, especially. It seemed that suddenly, on May 26th, you just...hated the Magisterium, like you never wanted to talk about it." "I still don't," replied John, "It's a story that I thought would be fun and enjoyable, but in reality, all it was was a lose connection of stories that clashed with each other and soon enough, it wasn't worth it anymore. No one likes, cares, or wants to hear that story anymore, and I've been trying to tell the company that, but they won't listen!" He accidentally raises his voice slightly.
It's true, that between May 26th and December 1st, he'd been trying to find was to kill the Magisterium without killing it. Originally, he'd place himself inside of Mr. Sheen's head to make him more psychopathic, but that just ended up backfiring. Then, he convinced Constantine to join him and kill the Magisterium, but he just helped the Magisterium rebel. He created the MBI to help protect the Magisterium, then told them to kill the Magisterium, but they'd never achieve that goal, since the Magisterium found and burned their headquarters to the ground. It was never worth it, it seemed to just go on. Like these were real people trying to defend something they could not defend.
"Imagine, if you will, a story that never finishes. You attempted to end it at Season 2, by killing your own creation, but everything keeps back firing in on itself, and you have to watch it keep going and only cause people to go missing and your life just...falls apart completely?" "...is that what's happening you...?" "Yep...it's just how my life is now...nothing but people constantly disappearing, hell breaking lose, and all thanks to two things, the Magisterium, and A. Sheuay being alive. That's all it is..." "I-I'm sorry that it's like this, John..." "I just wanted it to be normal..." "It gained too much autonomy, John...since it knew about a 'Lord', they began to figure out that there was more to their lives as it kept going. It wasn't your fault."
It WaS nEVER youR fAULT JohN...

"Why is it like that?" John asked, looking over at his wife expectantly, "Why must it be me?" "I don't know, John, I really don't...but I promise you, everything's going to be ok..."

(12/03/21) Today, a body was discovered in Sunday Creek after locals in Rendville reported hearing screaming coming from an adult male. The man was identified as Alexander George Miller, a worker for Murphy Enterprise Incorporated that had been sent to find the hard drive in the Murphy Enterprise Storage Facility here near Sunday Creek, but the murderer has not been identified. It was confirmed that he seemed to flee the town of Rendville, and not hanging out in there.
Some witnesses claim he looked to be around 17 and yelled "FOR A. SHEUAY!" before the screams of the Alex Miller was heard, but no confirmation since stories differ between witnesses. It is currently unknown if this was the doing of Luke Rodgers or not, but given the age of 17 being commonly accepted, it seems unlikely that Luke Rodgers would be the murderer. If any new details surface about the event, we shall provide further information.
"You really thought we were going to let you publish this bullshit!?" Monika asked, holding up a threat to the CEO of the WCLR News, Jake Laurents, "Alex Miller is fine!" "How do you know that?" Jake asked, "He never showed up, and the police confirmed that it was his body!" "Fair," Monika said, leaning back, "But not only does this police report discuss my employees in an unhealthy way, but you also revealed the location of our top-secret storage facility, which I cannot have." "Ma'am," Jake continued, "We must post this news story, people must know what happened to Alex Miller." "No one needs to know. He had a small accident, so what? Maybe there was a knife in the storage facility, and he bleed to death. Who fucking knows."
