Is it necessary for all to suffer?

Few days passed by and Abhi was avoiding any contact with Vaish as Robert had said. Even the other company's employees had shifted here as Vaish had to sell her office's building. Abhi never asked how did the company suddenly have so much loss as there was no use bringing it up now that it's done.  Vaish also understood he is avoiding meeting her but couldn't understand why so just shrugged it off. Here Avu finally decided to ask Abhi about Arhana. In office: 

Abhi: Robert, she is coming. 

Robert: WHAT? 

Abhi: Yeah. You can go home when she does, taking Arhana with you. She can't know about Arhana. 

Robert: Thank you so much. I'd rather talk to a wall than meet that bitch. 

Abhi: It would be funny to see you do that. 

Robert: Sir, Sid and Aru haven't met since few days. 

Abhi: Yeah, Arhana also looked a bit sad as she didn't get to meet him. Are you free right now? 

Robert: No, there is a lot of work today. And pls don't increase any work now. 

Abhi: Ok. 

Just then Arhana came there. 

Arhana: Papa. 

Abhi: Yes? 

Arhana: I want to meet chachu. 

Abhi: Later. 

Arhana: No, I want to meet him now. 

Abhi: But he would be busy. 

He tried explaining but she was being stubborn so he gave up. 

Abhi: Ok, I'll call him. Till then you sit here and don't disturb bhaiya, ok? 

Arhana: Ok. 

She said immediately sitting where he asked her to with a finger on her lips showing she won't talk. He chuckled and kissed her forehead before wearing his mask and going to call Sid. At the same time Vaish was coming from the opposite direction not seeing in front as she was talking on an important call. Before he could move aside or say anything they bumped into each other and he lost his balance falling down, pulling her also by mistake. Their eyes widened and then closed tightly. Abhi fell on his back but luckily didn't get hurt as she wrapped an arm around him so that he doesn't get hurt and another below his head. Her head hit his. She took her hands from around him and opened her eyes. He tucked her hair strands behind her ear as they were falling on his face. He looked anywhere except her eyes and even she did the same. She slowly stood up and forwarded her hand. But he got up without holding it so she took it back. 

Vaish: Sorry, I wasn't seeing. 

Abhi: Its ok, just be more alert next time. 

Vaish: Ye..yeah. 

She quickly went from there, embarrassed, making him chuckle. He went to Sid's desk, Sid turned around when he saw all looking behind him. Abhi didn't have to say anything for Sid to understand why he was here. He stood up and went behind Abhi to his cabin. They went in and Arhana smiled seeing Sid, his expression mirroring hers. Abhi and Robert continued their work as Sid took Arhana to the room where her toys are so that they don't get disturbed. After sometime there was a knock. 

Robert: Come in. 

The door opened and they saw Vaish. 

Vaish: Robert, the documents. 

Robert: Uh yeah I um... 

Abhi: Its ok, you continue that, I'll check these. 

Robert nodded and Abhi took the papers from Vaish going through them not realising how close he is standing to her but she did. If it was someone else she would step away but she didn't feel like now, she liked it for some reason. 

Abhi: Vaishnavi. 

Vaish: Yeah? 

Abhi: Thanks for the documents, all are proper. 

Vaish: Ye... 

She stopped when Sid and Arhana came there. She immediately identified Arhana as Sid had shown her pic to her and Jai. 

Arhana: Papa, your phone is ringing. I took it when you had gone to call chachu. 

She said already knowing he might have that question. He saw the caller id and then picked the call, moving the phone away from his ear hearing her shout. 

[I'll be writing Abhi's girlfriend as AG.
Robert: I'd like to assume her as Abhi's grandmother then. 😒😒] 

AG: DOES IT TAKE SO LONG TO PICK A CALL YOU IDIOT? WHAT WERE YOU EVEN DOING THAT YOU MADE ME WAIT SO MUCH? IF ITS NOTHING IMPORTANT THEN I'LL SURELY KILL YOU. 

She finally got quiet and Abhi rolled his eyes going aside to talk. Even Robert had annoyed expression which he has whenever she is even mentioned. 

Arhana: Is it that bad girl again? 

Robert: Shh, don't say in front of your papa. 

Arhana: But you said the same that day to papa. 

Robert: But you weren't supposed to hear it. Anyways, you talk to chachu now. 

He got back to work. Vaish went from there while Sid was still there when Abhi returned. 

Arhana: Papa. 

He turned to her when she suddenly hugged him and he winced in a low voice but all three heard it and looked at him worried. He realised this and face palmed mentally. 

Robert: What has happened? 

He finally said something though Sid was there, seeing how worried they are and immediately knew his identity will be out now in front of Sid. 

Abhi: Yeah I'm fine, nothing happened. 

Sid: Dada? 

Now it all made sense, his silence, Arhana assuming him as her father's brother at the first sight itself and the familiar eyes. Before Abhi could say anything his phone rang, his expressions turning to worried one as he picked up the call, not realising it went on speaker.
